Tiger Badge experiences BACKYARD JUNGLE Tiger Cub Scouts will learn about the creatures that live around us while they go on a hike, look and listen for creatures while exploring the museum grounds, and make a pinecone birdfeeder to take home. MIN- 6 MAX- 15 1.5 HOURS

TIGER THEATER Scouts will learn about puppet shows, reader’s theatre and pantomime. Play charades, make a puppet, perform a short reader’s theatre script, and make a mask to take home. Meets badge requiremnts 1-4. MIN- 6 MAX- 15 2 HOURS

TIGER TALES Tiger Cub Scouts learn how people lived years ago while visiting the properties on the Museum campus like the coach house, log house and the Muller house. In addition, scouts will take part in a story-telling tradition of creating Tall Tales. MIN-6 MAX- 15 1.5 HOURS

Badge experiences PAWS ON PATH In this program Wolves will take a 1 mile hike while applying the Outdoor code. They will also learn about local birds, animals and the basics of making a map. MIN- 6 MAX-20 1.5 HOURS

S.T.E.M.: AIR OF THE WOLF Bring your Wolf den in to learn the science of air. Scouts will investigate and experiment, as well as make and fly their own kites. MIN- 6 MAX-20 1.5 HOURS

COLLECTIONS & HOBBIES Wolf Scouts learn about collections in the museum setting – where collecting is what they do! Scouts will have the opportunity to share what they collect, see part of the museum collection, write a letter, explore new hobbies and more. MIN- 6 MAX- 15 1.5 HOURS

COUNCIL FIRE Scouts will look at their town of Arlington Heights and learn about the changes that affect them everyday using photo evidence from the Museum’s archives. They will discuss these changes with their den and create a project. Meets requirement 3A. MIN- 6 MAX-15 1 HOUR

Badge experiences FUR, FEATHERS & FERNS Bear Scouts will investigate and explore nature around them. Scouts will hike around the Lake and discuss conversation, animal extinction, observe wildlife, while enjoying the setting of a natural area. MIN-6 MAX- 20 1.5 HOURS

A BEAR GOES FISHING Bear Scouts with learn all about local fish, fishing equipment, and local regulations. They will also practice casting, and their fishing skills. MIN- 6 MAX-12 1.5 HOURS

PAWS FOR ACTION Bear Scouts will visit the 1882 Muller House and the 1908 Banta House within the Museum grounds while learning about their community and nation. Scouts will talk about historic forms of energy use and how they can incorporate some of them into their modern lives. Meets requirement 1A-C, 3A. MIN- 6 MAX-15

Webelos Badge experiences AQUANAUT Get your Webelos their Aquanaut badge! At Olympic Indoor Swim Center Scouts will learn water safety, different swimming strokes, and take their swim test. MIN-4 MAX-10 1 HOUR
