ged in A.H. Riise’s deep, cool rum cellars, this Family Reserve Solera 1838 Rum draws on the very best from the reserves of A.H. Riise’s oldest and highest-quality casks. This rum had previously been exclusively reserved for the heirs and successors of A.H. Riise, but not any longer. Today, we are excited to be offering you the Family Reserve Solera 1838 Rum for the very first time. So that you understand its place in the A.H. Riise family of rums, this was traditionally drunk at a gathering of the descendants of A.H. Riise once every five years. A.H. Riise Family Reserve Solera 1838 Rum is a precious, aged spirit, presenting you with the opportunity to taste something really unique.

Solera method the
TASTING NOTES
Solera aging uses a pyramid of barrels with those at the bottom containing the oldest rum and those at the top newly distilled rum. Each year a percentage is drawn from the bottom barrels, replaced by rum from the layer of casks immediately above. This process works its way up each layer, with newly distilled rum finally added to the top layer.
