where the

meets

o us, ‘reserve’ means ‘the best of the best’ and that is precisely what you get with A.H. Riise XO Reserve Rum Port Cask. So, what is the difference between this and our XO Reserve Rum? It’s all in the barrels used to store the rum. Instead of old oak wine casks, we have used port

casks, which is part of the reason our XO Reserve Rum Port Cask is so unique. First take a combination of the finest rum from both the Caribbean and South America which go to creating our XO Reserve Rum. Then re-cask it into port casks, allowing it to rest and mature in cellars deep underground while it takes

on distinct tones and flavours from the previously stored port. As this doublecasking method means that the rum is left to mature for a far longer period of time, we add the term XO, meaning ‘extra old’ to differentiate it from some of our younger rums, which might only be ten years old!
