Ashtabula, Ohio, at Pine Lake Raceway, could not have been a better facility. It had a KOA, AAA+ look about it with an excellently manicured grass surface shaded by big mature trees. Bud Fischer, the promoter, put his best foot forward to accommodate the flat track racers who made the trip. Even with all the virus situations influencing people's travels, it was all done with the utmost in precautions.

The racing surface was smooth and fast; the layout was what we racers refer to as a "paperclip." With the promoter anxious to have another race next year, he has committed to bringing in the corners. That will help and make it easier to gear for the track.

Charlie Williams took home the top honors in two classes, the Super Singles and Seventies Singles 50+. Tuner, Tim Bolin, and Charlie are an unbeatable team this year. Beno once again led the pack to take the Sportsman 750 and Dinosaur classes. A rider named "CJ" #110 won the Sportsman 250 class.

The weather could not have been better. The Pine Lake Raceway volunteers and supporters cannot be thanked enough for putting on a fantastic event. Gaston, South Carolina, will be the hot spot for our next flat track. GTR Complex will host it. "Keeping the Past Fast"
