Youth Speak Forum

Youth Speak Forum in Slovenia is finally happening! On the 10th of November we will host this big event together. For this, it’s important to work together as ONE AIESEC in Slovenia! Do you want to contribute to this event? One of the options is becoming a part of the OC (Organizing Committee)! This experience will give you a different perspective of the organization and the event itself and you will have the chance to develop yourself a lot. If you are interested or have any questions, contact Alina!

NST positions are open! As you might have seen already, we opened NST (National Support Team) applications yesterday. Applications are open for everyone and we would highly encourage you to apply if you are interested in learning more about national strategies and AIESEC as an organization. The following positions are open:  TM Manager (responsible: Thijs)  Finance Coordinator (responsible: Dejan)  Digital Marketing (responsible: Yara)

 Graphic/Website Design(responsible: Yara)  PR (responsible: Yara)

For more information, read the booklet via http://bit.ly/NSTslovenia or ask Thijs, Dejan or Yara!

What is the MC up to? Last weekend we went for MC Team Days to get to know each other better and have a lot of fun together. We started with mini golf in Tivoli and went the day afterwards for 2 days to Vir. As you can see, we had a lot of fun! On the next pages, you can find out what each of us has been doing as many of you are probably wondering what we are busy with all week.

What has Thijs been up to? Hey Guys, Here a short update from my side, as you obviously want to know what I've been doing as MCP the past week and what I'll be doing in the upcoming week. Last week there was Pitch Bootcamp, where I was able to get in touch with over twenty companies. I introduced them to AIESEC and shared the main conclusions of the Youth Speak Survey with them. The main goal right now is to follow up on these companies and discuss with them how we together can tackle the problems that Slovenia is facing today. Besides this I had a meeting with Junior Chamber International (JCI), JCI is a youth organization with many similarities in organizational structure and purpose in comparison with AIESEC. JCI is established in 110 countries and is right now working on its establishment in Slovenia. In the meeting we discussed how we can cooperate and how AIESEC can help them set up camp in Slovenia. Then this morning Alina and I had a meeting with Austria Trend Hotel, in order to discuss details for our Youth Speak Forum in November. More details you will be able to find in Alina's updates. My plans for the next week is to meet with Gorenje in order to sign the contract and make sure that the pre-screened applicants will go through further internal selection with Gorenje. Besides this my main focus is legislation of the financial structure of AIESEC in Slovenia and the price alignment of our ICX and OGX products. Furthermore I will be doing sales for Youth Speak Forum to make sure that we attract the most amazing companies to be part of the Youth Speak Forum.

And what about Dejan?

There are a lot of things needed to be done for this term. This week, I have been focusing on developing a proper financial structure. This structure has been legislated on the Legal Board meeting this week. Having a new financial structure will help this entity to get out of the financial crises we are in. If you are interested in finding out more, please contact me or check Google Drive. On another note, we have also defined new prices for our programs which are designed to support the financial structure. What you can expect for the end of this week and next week is the election of the amazing National Support Team, which also has an opening for Finance Coordinator. Ask me for more information!

And Rachael? Greetings from the ICX Desk! It's certainly going to be one year of learning, working and having fun.

We really have been busy scrutinizing what ELD prrogrammes are most feasible for LCs to run for the 16.17 term. I have been creating ICX materials such as the Interns Tracker, Reception booklet for EPs, contacting possible TN Takers and i had to screen all the applicants for the Gorenje Opportunity and we're down to 10 candidates... Whoop! Plan for this week includes meeting with the Limitless Tribe (ICX VPs), Creating more ICX materials like the TN Audit form and project booklets. With so much love from me. Bonne Journee!

And Yara? Busy last week with:

Priorities for this week:

 Finished my master thesis (yay!)

 Meeting with B2C commission

 Made the NST booklet

 Meeting with knowledge and recruitment taskforces

 Attended Pitch Bootcamp (amazing job LC Maribor!)
