University of Ljubljana
Next week, Thijs and Yara have a meeting with the University of Ljubljana *yay*. In there. they will discuss the possibility of AIESEC being present on Pozdrav Brucem (the freshmen welcome) and talk about YouthSpeak Survey and Forum. Also, further possibilities for corporation will be discussed. In order to prepare for this meeting, we have the kind request for you to inform us about any deals/partnerships/corporations we had in the past with the university so we can have the best possible meeting outcome. If you know anything, please contact Yara or Thijs.
IC updates
Next week, IC 2016 will take place in Poland. This is the International Congress of AIESEC International and almost every entity will be present. During this congress, Alina, Yara and Thijs will gain a lot of new information about 2020 and the changes coming with this. Also they have meetings scheduled already with Austria, Tunisia, Ethiopia, Slovakia, Bosnia, Kenya, Norway, Turkey, Malta, Georgia, Czechia, Hungary, Moldova, Italy and the Balkan. And more to come! These meetings are targeted towards partnerships, either Entity2Entity, OGX or ICX. Yet another step in making an impact for AIESEC in Slovenia!
What has Thijs been up to?
This week I've had a couple of very interesting and promising meetings. On Thursday I was in Kranj where I had a meeting with Rihard and the Regional Development Agency. With them we brainstormed over projects we can do together, one being outgoing Global Entrepreneur and we're now following up to discover the possibilities. On Friday I met with Gambit Trade/ Enaa.com which is interested in participating in YouthSpeak as well as likes to open a TN. Further more this week I met with Jazon and Umanotera who gave me great input for YouthSpeak. In the next 5 days I will be in Croatia recharging before we go to IC. Have a great week!
And what about Dejan?
Currently I am enjoying the sun in Montenegro, but there is no rest for us this term. I am working on preparing the whole financial board on what is about to happen before the recruitment. Transferring knowledge is no. 1 priority for me this term. Also, I want to apologize for not being able to write last weeks updates, but my connections are not strong. Either way, we will see each other next week in Ljubljana. Till then, have a productive week.
And Rachael? Bonjour!!!!! Feels great to be back to work and i must express my gratitude to mother nature for the beautiful weather. Don't you just love it?
So between the last time I wrote an excerpt for the Weekly newsletter and now i have had amazing meetings with IBM, Simbioza, City of Ljubljana amongst others. To keep it simple and bare ICX is on the rise people! Working with the LCs to ensure that the vision is clear for the AIESEC year in terms of ICX and all our promotion materials are set was my focus for the past days. My core focus for the next days include: Sales to companies for IGIP, Follow up with interested TNs for ICX, Finalizing on the ICX 101 Webinar flow, Meeting with the LC EB of Maribor, Meeting with country partners and meeting with LCVP ICX of all LCs and ensuring LCs are in tune with ICX deliverables for the month of August All my love! *Kisses from a Nigerian*
