Hi AIESEC Hanoi How are you going? I hope you guys are fine and enjoying your time in AIESEC with your teammates. November passed by with such an important event – Election Day. I was really proud to pour that bucket of water and hugged my successor that day. It was quite funny for me when people kept talking to me as if my EB and I were about to leave AIESEC really soon, haha. But we are still here, being committed to build our legacy and deliver our promises until 31st March. In AIESEC, we learnt most when bein g a le a d e r. S i nce t hi s organization is all about leadership, the bravery to
overcome your fear and grab the chance to take the lead is essential. December is coming and it brings you lot of opportunities to become a part of Executive Board 2015 – 2016. As I said many times before, any application needs a careful preparation. Do not hesitate any more, sketch your plan, have some motivational conversations, and be a candidate. The weather is quite unexpected these days. Take care of yourselves. We wish you a happy month a head with lots of good memories and learning with our Local Chapter. Celebration Night is an event to look back to the year 2014 of AIESEC Hanoi, embrace the 2015 ambitions. Let’s give them the warmest congratulations and wish them a journey with fruitful achievement First time, in I2A Buddy system, we had Buddy – Newbie Diary which was created to capture every single moment of Buddy and Newbie. It is the showcase of four- weeks running Buddy System. We hope it is like Doraemon’s time machine, gives all buddies and newbies chance to back in time to see how far both of you have been through. Keep this spirit, surprise yourself and surprise others!

LCP ELECTION DAY
On 26th November, Election Day took place intensively in 9 hours. Our candidates did impress the whole plenary with their passion and confidence in all the activities. At the end, we successfully selected LCP 1516 who would lead us in the an upcoming term full of opportunities and challenges.

Award Night 2014 is an annual event, this year was celebrated by AIESEC Hanoi & AIESEC NEU on 8 November. This is a time for all the eXchange returnees and Buddies, all AIESECers to sit together and share our best eXchange stories.It also is an occasion for AIESEC Hanoi to show our deeply appreciation to our beloved Exchange Participants and give them precious certificates to recognize their efforts and interests in the program This year, with the topic “ shine bright like a diamond “ we want to give you all the best wishes with one message: every exchange journey is an opportunity for you to challenge yourself in the very new environment. You would discover how big your potential is and have enough courage to achieve your goals in your life, then you will ‘shine bright like a diamond’.
Mình cảm thấy không còn hối tiếc gì cả sau chuyến đi này. Mình cũng không gặp nhiều khó khăn do được chuẩn bị kĩ càng trước khi đi. Trong quá trình đi thì mình đi cùng buddy của mình nên 2 người luôn trao đổi với nhau mọi vấn đề. Một trong những vấn đề mình cảm thấy khó khăn đó là việc ăn bốc bên Malay. Lúc đầu mình cảm thấy khó chịu và không quen, nhưng dần dần mình đã thích nghi được. Trong những khoảng thời gian đầu, mình xin được dùng muỗng, đũa. Nhưng đến cuối cùng, mình cũng có thể ăn bốc với mọi người ( tất nhiên là các món khô ). Mình học được rất nhiều kinh nghiệm làm việc. Mình đã dạy được những đứa trẻ ở NGO bằng toàn bộ kiến thức và kĩ năng mình có. Mình còn có được nhiều người bạn đến từ nhiều quốc gia khác nhau. Và cho đến bây giờ, chúng mình vẫn còn liên lạc và nói chuyện với nhau rất vui vẻ. Ngoài ra, kĩ năng sống ở một môi trường mới mà mình gain được cũng rất hưu ích. Bây giờ, mình không còn sợ cho cuộc sống xa nhà ở vùng đất mới.

Internship này là cú sốc gây tỉnh ngộ lớn nhất trong cuộc đời chị, cho tới thời điểm hiện tại. Đồng nghiệp và đối tác đều là những chuyên gia đầu ngành IT của Ấn Độ, rất giỏi, làm việc không biết mệt mỏi. Từ việc cảm thấy thua kém năng lực, tự ái dân tộc rồi chị gạt đi sợ hãi, lao vào làm việc nghiêm túc để bắt kịp đồng nghiệp, đã biến đổi chị thành một người làm việc có đầu óc, quy củ và năng suất cao hơn. Đó cũng là lý do vì sao chị muốn thật nhiều sinh viên VN có thể ra nước ngoài làm việc và thử thách bản than. Dù chị cũng có nhiều lần đi xa và sống tự lập, 3 tháng đầu ở Ấn, chị đã gặp khủng khoảng tinh thần vì phải một mình chống chọi với tất cả những khó khăn từ công việc và cuộc sống. Đã có ngày chị ngồi ở công ty không thể làm việc gì ngoài ...tra giá vé máy bay bay về Việt Nam. Suốt một tháng như vậy, cho đến khi chị ngất luôn trên bàn làm việc. Tỉnh dậy trong bệnh viện, thấy sếp ngồi bên cạnh.
Chị vừa kể lể với sếp vừa khóc hàng giờ đồng hồ. Sếp nghe xong, không an ủi vỗ về gì mà chỉ nói: "Đi làm ở đây là lựa chọn của mày. Đi nước ngoài cũng là lựa chọn của mày. Ai cũng có vấn đề riêng trong cuộc sống cả, nhưng mày biết tại sao người ta thành công còn mày thì (tạm thời) chưa? Vì người ta phải biết cách gạt đi chuyện riêng tư để tập trung làm việc. Khi bước vào cửa công ty thì mày phải quên vấn đề cá nhân đi, đơn giản thế thôi. Hơn một năm đã qua nhưng câu nói là này của sếp vẫn sẽ luôn là kim chỉ nam của chị để trở thành người chuyên nghiệp và thành công.

2015 - 2016 Experiencing the Vice President term has been one of the most extraordinary experience of my twenties-the one in which I have grown so much, been challenged by both failure and success, and felt empowered by my teammates, members and other AIESECers -the people to whom I owe so much the person that I have become today.
I am such the luckiest person when leading team with 30 members. Seeing them work very hard with high passion for iGCDP makes me feel proud and want to contribute more and more every day. I also have the funniest OCP team – my ‘Anaconda team’. We enjoy our work, and have fun all the time!
My like-no-other journey started 10 months ago. It’s long enough to change me to a person who can speak up what I really think, to a person with much better endurance, and the best one, to a person who got close to her members… I am not alone in this journey. I have my oGIP team with crazy kids to care for and to strive for. And I have EB – the most ridiculous team I’ve ever been in - to enjoy the ride with me through ups and downs.
If I have to summarize in three words for my journey of being VP Finance, they are: "Crazy, but worthy". It was crazy as your function is so small and the perceived-by-LC-members Finance culture is lame T.T. It may boring, and not much of leadership experience. It is thought to keep the money only and nothing else. But, it was super worthy, that you have to learn how to turn the table, by providing your team members a space to learn, to develop skills and leadership, by changing the team's culture, and by enhancing Finance roles in LC.
The perk of being Vice President of Talent Management 14-15 is to have absolutely amazing members. They secretly planned an encouraging campaign to empower you to take an extreme challenge you never thought of before. They recorded their sharing which was full of trust and love for you. One of them even sang your favorite song with new lyrics that was written especially for you. They hugged you and told you how they were so proud of you the moment you thought you had failed them the most.
