about Global Learning School will involve 20-25 inclusive education resource centers in high schools located in the center of Moldova. The facilitators of this project are 50 international exchange participants, the National Youth Council of Moldova, the Republican Center of Psycho-Pedagogical Assistance, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Education, e-Government Center, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, social responsible companies and other stakeholders interested in the education of young people. Global Learning School aims to develop young people through a program of trainings on topics as: soft skills (time management, team management, leadership etc.), digital literacy, basic knowledge in English, writing of a CV, ム「ltural understanding and presenting opportunities of civic involvement. The project will run 6 weeks, with 2 weeks of preparations and 4 weeks of development. The Exchange Participants will deliver 2 hour long sessions 3 times a week during this 4 weeks period.

location

Moldova is a small country in Southeastern Europe bordered by Romania on the west and Ukraine on the north, east and south. Moldova has a total surface area of 33,846 square kilometers. It is landlocked, even though it is very close to the Black Sea. The capital, Chisinau, is situated in the center of the country.

Moldova’s climate is moderately continental: the summers are warm and long, with temperatures averaging about 20°C (68°F), the winters are relatively mild and dry, with January temperatures averaging -4°C (25°F). Language The oďŹƒcial language of Moldova is Romanian, a Romance language of the Indo-European family related to Italian, French, Spanish and Portuguese. Russian is also widely spoken throughout the country. Many Moldovans, especially young people, also speak English, and a little French, Italian or German. Today, most hotels, restaurants, cafes and newer retail stores have sta who speaks Romanian, Russian, and English.


currency The currency of Moldova is called “Leu”. The name of the currency originates in Romania and means “lion”. The Moldovan leu is subdivided into 100 bani (coins). 1 leu ≈ $0.05 ≈ €0.04 100 $ ≈ 1995 lei 100 € ≈ 2135 lei In Moldova we have banknotes of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 lei.

Average prices on food and drinks: - 0.5L bottled water: 0.4$ - Pizza: 4-7$ - 0.5L Coke: 0.5$ - 0.75 wine: 4-9$ - Business lunch: 4-5$ - Cup of coee: 1-3$ Food will be provided once a day, in days of sessions, by our project partner, so take a decent amount of money for the meals.
