English Summer Project EN ABLE ENGLISH PROJECT

ENable is a conversational English project intended for young people aged between 16 and 25 years old. The project aims to develop the youth’s communication skills in English. There will be 10 Exchange Participants who will deliver English lessons divided in groups of 2. Each group of Exchange Participants has to teach 25 students. At the beginning of the project, the interns will attend sessions on how to deliver conversational English lessons.


debates edition ENable is a conversational English project intended for young people between 16 and 25 years old. The project aims to develop the youth's communication skills in english while developing their soft skills. You will deliver english lessons on different topics and participate in debates with the participants. At the beginning of the project, you will go through a preparation phase during Incoming Preparation Seminar and learn how to plan and present a session and how to debate.


location Moldova is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe, bordered by Romania to the west and Ukraine to the north, east, and south. The capital city is ChiČ™inău and it is situated in the center of the country.


language The official language of Moldova is Romanian, a Romance language related to Italian, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. Russian is also widely spoken throughout the country. Many Moldovans, especially young people, also speak English, and a little French, Italian or German. Today, most hotels, restaurants, cafes and newer retail stores have staff who speaks Romanian, Russian and English.


climate Moldova's climate is moderately continental, with some modification of conditions by the Black Sea. The summers are warm and long, with temperatures averaging between 20°C and 25°C, but can sometimes reach 35°C during heat waves. Lightweight clothes with accasional rainwear is advised for the summer months


currency The currency of Moldova is called “Leu”. The name of the currency originates in Romania and means “lion”. The Moldovan leu is subdivided into 100 bani (coins). 1 leu ≈ $0.05 ≈ €0.04 100 $ ≈ 1997 lei 100 € ≈ 2140 lei In Moldova we have banknotes of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000 lei.


prices Moldova is one of the countries with the lowest cost of living in the world. Average prices on food and drinks: -0.5L bottled water: 0.4$ -Pizza: 3-4$ -0.5L beer: 0.8$ -0.5L Coke: 0.5$ -Business lunch: 2-5$ -Cup of coffee: 1-3$ Food will NOT be provided during your stay in ChiČ™inău, so take a decent amount of money for the meals.
