Incoming Exchange Participants Terms & Conditions -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Please read the below terms and conditions very carefully, as they define the rules which govern your Exchange experience with AIESEC in AUC.

AIESEC in AUC provides you with a subsidized, shared accommodation at one of the following: Hostels in Downtown: You can check out one of our hostels here. In the hostels, an average of 4 to 5 Exchange Participants reside in one room. Apartments in Nasr City: The exact location may vary based upon availability. In the apartments, an average of 4 Exchange Participants reside in one room, and the total number of Exchange Participants in the apartment is dependent upon the total number of rooms in the apartment. One shared bathroom is made available per apartment, unless otherwise stated. Allocations are based upon availability at the time of your arrival. All accommodation have basic facilities, such as a kitchen, bathroom, wardrobes, etc. Internet access is not provided in the accommodation. However, it is easily accessible at nearby places which operate 24/7 (such as in cafes, malls, etc.) or via opting in an internet bundle through a local mobile carrier. AIESEC in AUC is not held responsible for the cleaning the accommodation. Exchange Participants are held responsible for the cleanliness of their place of stay; residents may collectively pay an average of 150 EGP for a cleaning lady on a given day. AIESEC in AUC may facilitate the process if required. The accommodation is subject to cleanliness reviews on a weekly basis. If the accommodation has not been cleaned up, Exchange Participants will be asked to clean it immediately, pay the aforementioned cleaning fee to bring someone to clean it, or otherwise be asked to leave the accommodation. Beds provided at the accommodation are either regular or portable beds based upon availability. An Exchange Participant is expected to bring his/her own pillows and bed sheets, or purchase them upon arrival in Egypt. AIESEC in AUC may facilitate the process if required. Either an air conditioner or a fan is provided in your accommodation (note that summer is from April to October and winter is from November to March). The accommodation you have been provided with and all of its contents (e.g. furniture, electronics, utensils, etc.) should be treated with complete care. If any items are broken or missing, extra fees will be incurred. If not paid, a report will be sent to your sending Local Chapter and extra fees will be paid. As to abide by the rules of common courtesy and prevent disturbances to your neighbors, no loud noise or music is allowed in the accommodation you have been provided with. In this light, no parties are allowed in the accommodation without the approval of the Reception & Servicing Coordinator (as collaboration with the owner(s) of the accommodation is required for such matters). No boys are ever allowed into a girls' accommodation, and vice versa, where no girls are ever allowed into a boys' accommodation either, throughout the whole day and night. the owners of the accommodation.) No strangers or non-AIESECers are allowed into any of the provided accommodation under any circumstances; only the Reception & Servicing team are allowed into the accommodation. Any Exchange Participant who allows and permits the entry of any strangers or non-AIESECers into the accommodation, will be required to leave the accommodation immediately. Drugs are forbidden in the accommodation, as it is completely illegal to possess them, in Egypt. Any Exchange Participant found to have violated this will be required to leave the accommodation immediately. Exchange Participants are subject to being moved from one accommodation to another amidst their stay. This is based upon rental durations and agreements set with the owners of the accommodation and available vacancies. An Exchange Participant is required to leave the accommodation place right after the end of his/her volunteering or internship experience.
UTILITY FEES The utility fees should be paid only to members of the Reception & Servicing team immediately upon the Exchange Participant’s arrival. Accommodation can only be provided once these fees are paid in full. The utility fees are as follows: For Professional Internships: Please revise the exact amount on the opportunity you are accepted to and with your project manager as well. For At the Heart of Egypt Participants: $120. Utility fees should be paid in USD and not in EGP upon arrival in Egypt. - Please notice that utility fees only cover your accommodation and its respective costs (e.g. water, electricity, etc.). Utility fees are collected this fast as to meet the rental deadlines, and do not contribute to AIESEC in AUC’s profit. -
OTHER -
Any trips done without the supervision of Reception & Servicing team are the complete and total responsibility of the Exchange Participant, to which AIESEC in AUC cannot be held accountable. In case of breaking a realization or any of the aforementioned rules, the Exchange Participant would not be allowed a refund of the utility fees. Complaints made through calling Reception & Servicing team or anything otherwise will not be accepted unless otherwise communicated.
