Dear MCP applicant, I am sure you know that, with great power comes great responsibility. This is definitely what happen with the MCP experience. Lead at national level in a youth-run NGO, is one of the most challenging experience but it comes with great learnings and opportunities. It takes you apart in your career profile for whatever you want to achieve in your life. Designing this application, remind me all the steps in the process I have been through to get this position, five months of hard-working, failures and successes as MCP for AIESEC CÔTE D'IVOIRE. As a national President, you'll literally be push out of your comfort zone every day, reinvent yourself day by day, listen more than talking, shape mindset of young people to unlock their potential, represent nationally and internationally your entity, etc. You can be responsible of a 43 years old local chapter of AIESEC, with a very strong and well organized, structured alumni network, with important external stakeholders, and most important contribute to a legacy with tangible impact. MCP as a LEADER • Guardian of the AIESEC WAY • Clarity of your purpose • Consciousness of your leadership style • Develop the best leadership pipeline to ensure the continuity of a legacy • Lead that team according to your strengths and let them complement you • Choose a team based on similar purpose, actions and people orientation

MCP as a REPRESENTATIVE Ensure the management of external stakeholders: • BoA • Partners • Government • Enablers • Media • Awards and Recognitions • Events (Get ready to make a lot of speeches)

MCP as a MANAGER • Guardian of the legal representation • Co-responsible of nancial long term sustainability while making decisions on present investment that enable growth. • Keep the team accountable and ensure that the network is also being accountable to eachother. • Be responsible of your role in the national plenary as President • Be responsible of your role in the regional plenary as Leader • Be responsible of your role in the global plenary as Subcommittee and Member Committee


II.MC MCLIFE LIFE TERM DATES AUGUST,1ST 2017 - JULY,31ST 2018

WORKING CONDITIONS MCP workload is approximately 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday; It can increase sometimes.

DAYS OUT OF OFFICE Saturday & Sunday are days off with exceptions of conferences, summits, visits, LC coaching or MC planning events.

LIVING CONDITIONS MCP and his entire team must live in the MC House. Transportation is covered from MC budget for working purpose activities (such as for national conference, visits, summits, LC coaching, Meeting, etc…)

LEGALITY & OTHER COSTS Visas expenses including residency are not covered by AIESEC in Côte d’Ivoire for the duration of work with the organization. However successful candidate is responsible for finding their own health insurance for the duration of stay. AIESEC in Côte d’Ivoire will support you on visa process.

IV. ELECTION PROCESS MCP APPLICANTs for AIESEC in COTE D’IVOIRE must participate in the election process at ELECTION CONFERENCE during the Day 1 of NATCO I in DECEMBER 2016. The process is as follows: 1. Each candidate will participate in the election process outlined below at ELECTION CONFERENCE. 2. Each candidate will participate in the interview with a panel comprised of BOA, MCPc and an external. 3. Each candidate will give a 10-minute opening speech to the National Plenary . 4. Each candidate will participate in one or several Questions & Answers sessions (10 minutes per round – 2 minutes per question. The Q&As must be designed by every LC based on their reality and the content of candidate’s application package and their speeches. 5. Each candidate will participate in one or several panels/discussions. At least one part of the panels/discussions should be dedicated to issues external to AIESEC, which are relevant to AIESEC. 6. Each candidate will give a three-minute closing speech to the plenary. Immediately after all speeches are completed, there will have a LC meeting, ballot papers distributed and voting conducted. V. MCP QUESTIONNAIRE 1. What is driving you to continue in AIESEC? Why have you decided to stand for President of AIESEC in COTE D’IVOIRE? What do you want to take out of this experience? 2. What are your three key strengths and weaknesses and how would these help or challenge you in your MCP term? 3. Make a brief SWOT analysis of AIESEC in COTE D'IVOIRE. With the analysis made, what would you start, continue and stop doing as MCP 2017 - 2018 to lead this entity? Explain 4. In the context of 2017-2018, rank in order of importance the key responsibilities of President of (team management, strategic direction, financial sustainability, governance and accountability, global network engagement and communication, and external representation) and the reasons for your ranking. 5. What is the relevance of AIESEC in COTE D’IVOIRE for COTE D’IVOIRE and how can this be improved? 6. What MC structure do you envision in your term? Explain 7. Our entity is 42 years old and still not growing disruptively, how would MC 2017 - 2018 of AIESEC in COTE D’IVOIRE manage this to become one of the strongest and growing entity of the MEA growth network. 8. Considering the current reality of the world, which trends do you see in COTE D’IVOIRE that shapes our country in the following years? Given these trends, what will it mean for our national entity to stay ahead of the curve? 9. Given the context of AIESEC right now, what kind of MCP do you think AIESEC in COTE D’IVOIRE need; explain.
