FOREWORD

Dear Asia Pacific Leaders, Indonesia as a country believes in 'Unity in Diversity' which is very strongly connected to the AIESEC value of 'Living Diversity' and that's just the way we live. In a country with 34 provinces, 17.000 islands, 300 local languages, and 238 million population, 'Diversity' is sort of our middle name and soon, you'll have the chance to experience it! In the conference itself, you can look forward to a wide array of experiences from Global Village to Youth to Business Forum to Indonesia Night to interacting with leaders from across Asia Pacific at Asia Pacific Leaders Summit. The chance of transforming yourself into better individuals through this congress will never been this exciting. The last time AIESEC in Indonesia held an international congress was in 2010 with ASEAN Youth Congress. Therefore, this year in 2013, I, along with the core committee and the whole membership of AIESEC in Indonesia, eagerly await your arrival and we hope that you have a pleasant and amazing experience while you're here with us to Learn, Share and Inspire together.

iversity has become the identity of Indonesia for years. This year, we emphasize the value of Unity in Diversity as our theme for the upcoming Asia Pacific Leaders Summit 2013 this December.

This Internationa congress is a platform for young leaders throughout Asia Pacific to share their knowledge and experience, to achieve an integrated roles and goals towards AIESEC 2015. This congress will be a 5 days series of pure inspiration, fun and excitements!


Location & Venue Bandung

B

andung, one of the largest cities in Indonesia and the capital of West Java Province. Bandung is located in the uplands of western Java at an elevation of 715 m in a scenic region dominated by high volcanoes. The city is a major industrial center, producing textiles, dyes, chemicals, aircraft, and machinery. It is also an important center for education and research, with facilities such as the Bandung Institute of Technology (1920), Padjadjaran State University (1957), and Parahyangan Catholic University (1955). Bandung is the cultural capital of the Sundanese people and is noted for its Angklung bamboo orchestra and its tradition of classical Sundanese theatere, dance, and gamelan music. In the Dutch colonial era, Bandung also known as Paris van Java for its resemblance to the beautiful city of Paris.

Indonesia Youth to Business Forum Indonesia youth to business forum aims to enable a platform of dialogue and exchange ideas between Indonesian youth, youth leader from Asia Pacific and great minds among business leaders and entrepreneurs. Connecting youth and business around relevant topics around society, generate ideas and thoughts to build a better future.

Indonesia Night With 10 LCs and also expansions in AIESEC Indonesia entity, you could feel the diversity within Indonesia in one special night. Feel the different across Indonesia region with cultural performance and various traditional foods. Join them and feel the experience of Indonesia.

Registration & Cancellation Rule Only AIESEC Local Committee Presidents: Outgoing, Current and Incoming LCPs term 2013-2014 are eligible to join the conference. •

CANCELLATION RULE Ÿ Cancellation will be accepted and delegation fee will not need to be paid if

registration is cancelled before 5th November 2013. Ÿ Cancellation will be accepted and delegation fee will have to be paid in half if

registration is cancelled from 5th November 2013 to 10th November 2013. Ÿ Cancellation will be accepted and delegation fee will have to be paid full if

registration is cancelled after 10th November 2013. In case you do not pay the cancellation fee, it will be billed to your LC’s account invoice for the Congress. CC will cooperate with MCVP Finance in each country to collect the fee. Fees & How to Submit Standard Delegate Fee: 200 USD Damage fees: 20 USD At the end of conference, if there is no damage caused, the damage fee will be returned to each delegate.

How to submit fee? CC highly appreciates the delegation fee to be submitted via Western Union, the details are as follows:

2. Cash In Hand: All payment to be made on IDR For the one who can’t transfer their money and want to pay on the spot, you have to pay for 3.000.000 IDR (because we want to avoid the changes in currency, this amount already include damage fee) You will submit the fees in the 1St day of the conference during check-in. Remember CC will only accept fee in IDR only. There are ATMs and currency exchange facilities near the venue but we can't guarantee the exchange rate will be the best offer.


Visa Procedure How to Get Visa to Indonesia? Visa Exemption Holders of ordinary passports valid for at least 6 months are exempt from visa requirements. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR VISA-FREE SHORT VISITS Ÿ Passport must be valid for a

minimum of 6 (six) months as from the date of entry into Indonesia. Ÿ Onward or return tickets are compulsory Ÿ No compulsory vaccinations Ÿ Visitors on Visa-Free Short Visits must be enter and exit from certain airports and seaports in Indonesia.

Tourist Visa Indonesian tourist visa is granted for a restricted time of leisure travel and no business activities allowed.

Travel Insurance

or APLS 2013 Delegates, it is COMPULSORY to have proof of valid travel insurance policy for the duration of conference. Please make sure you purchase your travel insurance PRIOR to your arrival to Indonesia. CC will not bear any responsibility in the event of accidents or injuries. *Make sure your travel insurance can be used in Indonesia


Post-Tour Green Canyon, Pangandaran, West Java 2 Days 1 Night trip (minimum 20 participants) Embrace yourself to experience Indonesia through the beauty of West Java. It is Pangandaran’s Green Canyon on the southern coast of West Java. Originally called “Cukang Taneuh”- in the local Sundanese it means 'Soil Bridge'Green Canyon has a 3 meter wide bridge made up of soil above the twin cliffs on both river banks. This natural wonder is surely spectacular and definitely will make you come back for more!

Yogyakarta, Central Java 3 Days 2 Night trip (minimum 20 participants) Yogyakarta (often called Jogja, Yogya, or Jogjakarta) located in middle of Java Island – Indonesia, where a lot of heritage place, with thousands of years old ancient temple, and also delicious food come into one old city. It is the cradle of civilization on Java. This city has the magnificent temples of Borobudur and Prambanan from the 8th and 9th century and the rubble of powerful Mataram civilization of the 16th and 17th century. Until today this city continues to produce philosophers, thinkers, master painters and master craftsmen.

Kawah Putih, Lembang, West Java 1 Day trip (minimum 20 participants) Kawah Putih located near the dusty market town of Ciwidey about 35 kilometres south of Bandung. Kawah Putih means “white crater” in English, with the main attraction of the surreal turquoise coloured lake which fills its vast dormant volcanic crater. On sunny days, the color of the lake is stark and bright and on cloudy days, the entire crater can be shrouded in mist making for an utterly eerie experience. The tree-clad cliffs surrounding the crater reach around 2,500 metres above sea level and seen for a stunning backdrop, especially when those clouds start rolling in.
