Page 1

Dear Mohsin, I before applying have thought about it a lot,the responsibility is very intriguing but at the same time very scary as well ,this very application has given me sleepless nights. I have written this very application over eight times, each time in a different way and finally deciding to scrap the idea of applying, just when i gave up the last time I recalled what once you had said “apply don't think about the end result just apply” and here i am writing my letter of intent for the ninth time . I remember the first time I sent you a letter of intent, it was exactly six months back from now. What a life changing experience it has been for me working with AIESEC . It has made me ambitious in my life , which is very important for a growth of a person. This organisation has given me a lot more than that I could've asked for,now it is the time that I give something back to the organization. My intent is to lead the entity on a path which shall not only witness Nagpur competing with the network giants, but also establishing their base on AIESEC in india’s map. I want to enthrall the city with this massive youth movement and work my way towards AIESEC 2020 goal fiercely. All along this road of your AIESEC journey , you had a dream of making this entity from an expansion to a fully functional local committee,i believe even after becoming a local committee, the job is only half done. My vision for AIESEC in Nagpur shall be going a step further and make this entity being granted the full membership status by AIESEC india. Sounds impossible isn't it,but Nelson Mandela has famously quoted “It always seems impossible, until it's done”.I shall fill up each and every person who is associated to this beautiful organization with that belief and help them make as much contribution they can make towards shaping the future of this entity. With this I request you to accept my letter of intent for the candidature of this prestigious position of Expansion Entity President . Yours sincerely Shree Khartadkar Team memberER

Contribution- Helped Vice Presidents in terms of manpower required for Information Seminars, delivered an information seminar, made my team more aware in terms of their AIESEC awareness. Learning- Improved my knowledge significantly about this portfolio & AIESEC, learnt a lot about team management & how to keep your personal and professional life different.  Core Committee President – Youth Speak Forum 2016 |May 12- August 26 This was by far the most challenging role that I had come across in my AIESEC journey, this role has completely changed me as a person had to lead a team twenty individuals and deliver of what was to be the biggest event in the history of AIESEC in Nagpur. Contribution- Delivered what the LB had envisioned, created relevance about AIESEC as a brand in the city. Question 3] who is that one person you connect the most with, in your Local Committee/AIESEC Network? How would these people describe you as an individual?

The one person that I connect with most in my Local Committee would be Kuna Munje. “Shree is a very warm hearted individual with zeal to know anything and everything that is going around him, no matter how worse are the situations he would not give up. A person who knows how to manage a team, how to make them stick together and develop that sense of belongingness towards the team and the work they are doing and for that matter even the entity, At times a little low on confidence but a prolific hard worker. He can go a long way in his AIESEC journey judging by what I have seen about him in the past few months, if he eradicates some qualities of his in his personal conduct towards his co-workers, he should understand the fact that no individual is perfect, you have to them make them learn step by step, that is the only way to go about it. He needs to have a strong PR within the people he is working with, this is the only issue I have some concern about, but judging by the fact how he uplifted the organization in terms of leverage by delivering the Youth Speak Forum at such a big scale by getting some of the most influential speakers and business personnel’s in the country on board, the only way for him is to go up and crunch that barrier of disbelief the people have towards him.

Question 5] What aspect of your Leadership Body or Management Body term could you have significantly improved upon? (Personally and as a team)

Personally I feel I could have improved upon my PR skills personally in terms of the volunteers working within this organization, and help them to learn what they need to do. I feel this is important because being in AIESEC in any form , that is, as an exchange participant or a client or even as a member, all we do is give each other an experience , I could always help giving people a good experience from my side at least. “Word of Mouth is the best and the cheapest form of Marketing “ I feel the above statement explains itself why giving a good experience to people is important.

As a Team This is in respect to the Core Committee team I was a part of. I had the pleasure of leading this team. It was a life changing experience for me in AIESEC, we delivered one of the best events the entity could have asked for, but there were some aspects which cannot go unnoticed.

   

Deadlines kept on changing. Could not set Clear priorities. Financial crisis could’ve been avoided with proper budgeting. Hard decision making

These are the few things I could have improved upon in my term, but this is my and only my perspective about the team, and could change if you look at it from someone else`s point of view.

Questions 6] Describe your future short-term and long-term career and personal goals. How do you expect an LCP term to help you achieve these goals and why now?

Short-Term Goals Personal  Start playing football on an Amateur Professional level, again!  Go on a GV exchange, once done with my second year of degree.

Career  To become the 5th President of AIESEC in Nagpur  Crack CAT in my 2018 attempt

Long-Term Goals Personal  Learn at-least two foreign languages on an expert level  Travel to the North most and South most Points of India

Career  To setup my business in the Hospitality sector  Have at least three Graduate degrees to my name

This LCP term shall change me completely change me as a person, it shall be the first time I shall be handling such a position, where in each and every decision shall be scrutinised and at the same time affect the lives of a lot of people. It shall make me more Goal Oriented in life. “Goal is a dream with a deadline.” It shall help me grow Business understanding. The reason I am saying this is because I have always considered AIESEC a business module NPO and it shall provide me as to run a start up entity and make it a fully functional Local Committee. Question 7] What is your Leadership style? Explain with real stories from past leadership experiences. My leadership style is a mixed bag of qualities, few of which are    

Goal Oriented Democratic Strategist Protective

This experience is from my CCP term where in I was totally at a chaos in the beginning, even at the day of the Youth Speak Forum a lot of things went wrong, but all along I was oriented with the goal of delivering this event so as to increase the relevance of AIESEC in Nagpur as a brand, within the clients for our Corporate or Social products or be it be creating awareness among the Youth of Nagpur about our exchange products.

Question 8] How will you make sure you execute your plans as execution is the biggest problem in all the leaders? Execution of planned vision to ground zero is what separates the good from the great, the person or the department accountable for executing the plan in the first place should be made aware as to why this plan or strategy made, how is this particular strategy important. One simple solution to this could be breaking down the strategy into parts and dividing them between individuals or departments to make them synergize and work towards a common goal. This in turn could also help in team building process and also make the people develop that sense of belongingness towards the organization.

General Questionnaire Part 1- Organisational Perspective

Question 1]Compare AIESEC to an external organization of similar reach (include similarities, differences, impact, etc.) and elaborate on key strategies or any business practices from that organization which can be implemented in AIESEC to ensure growth, relevance and improvement in what we do every single day. The organization I am taking up is Rotary International

Similarities  Peace and Exchange-Both AIESEC and Rotary have a mission to have a profound impact on society and to promote Peace throughout the world. While Rotary was established earlier, in 1905, both organizations have existed for decades with similar goals.  Common Commitment to Developing the Next Generation of Leaders Both organizations possess amazing networks that can be positioned for the development of tomorrow’s leaders. Rotary has 1.2 million members who are community and business leaders in over 200 countries and 34,000 communities. AIESEC has over 86,000 members at many of the world’s top universities in 133 countries – and partners with over 8,000 Global Partners who support AIESEC mission and programs.

 Fellowship-The internship program of both AIESEC and Rotary International encourages eradicating the cultural differences present in Lead By Example, Live your Legacy Shree Khartadkar | Applicant| Expansion Entity President 2017 | AIESEC in Nagpur

General Questionnaire each of their member Nations, this can also be termed as both countries help you develop not only an International Network but even make you feel we all fall under one Community that is Humans.

 Similar modules of leadership development-Each AIESEC member has the opportunity to choose their development path – indeed, they will get out of their AIESEC experience what they put into it. Locally, students can directly apply for the Team Leader Program, the Internship Program, or if they don´t feel strong enough to lead others they can be a part of Team Member Programs where they can observe others and work to take leadership roles in the future. While RYLA, Interact, and Rotaract may have less formal programs, the development path to leadership can be very similar (learn one, do one, teach one). In both AIESEC and Rotary we work for free, but what we get from this experience you cannot pay with money. The most important thing is that our teams are based on friendship from which we get the energy to work many hours for free and to have great fun from doing so . Through our programs, we are building change in ourselves, our communities and throughout the world from this base of friendship and common commitment to our development as leaders. We make contacts and connections for life, we experience unforgettable moments that will remembered forever and we have made friendships that will always be there throughout our vocational and personal lives.

 Service Projects- Both AIESEC and Rotary make an impact in its local and global communities through local, national, and international projects.

Key Strategies/Implementations  Involvement of parents on the time of coaching or information seminars is something we can learn from this organization, coz while going on an exchange via rotary, the parents of the exchange participant are well assured of the security and safety of their own child which I think is somewhere missing in AIESEC. So in turn if we could involve the parents of the exchange participant in the LEAD stage of the customer flow, it shall always help us in selling our product.  The Rotary Clubs also have a provision of Scholarships or Grants for students willing to go on an exchange, being a Not for Profit and self funded Organization we cannot implement this, but we could in turn Pitch the corporate sector for their CSR activity by asking them to sponsor a person’s Exchange, this shall help us create a brand name in place and could always help the company to build on its marketing. General Questionnaire

Question. Keeping the statements of AIESEC 2020 in mind, mention key things that are critical for AIESEC in Nagpur to focus on in 2017, with each statement separately

1. “Shaping what we do around what the world needs I believe we have already piloted a movement which caters to this mission statement by delivering the Youth Speak Forum. We have created awareness about the sustainable development goals which according to me is what the world needs right now. The next big step would be ensuring the audience which we catered to in the event be tapped for the OGV internships, so that they could fulfil the third and final stage of the event.

2.”Growing Disruptively” Growing disruptively for me can also be termed as uncared boisterous growth, this shall be my boost up statement for the IGT department, right now judging by the fact of raises we have in hand, we have done a tremendous job compared to last year, where not even a single exchange was done in the portfolio in that matter we already have done one exchange, which accounts to a 100% of growth, but this is not something we should be proud about, we all know there is a very huge untapped market out there. The chart clearly shows as to how disruptive growth for this particular portfolio shall be.

3.”Being accessible to everyone, everywhere” The above statement has a huge of relevance to Nagpur, because I thoroughly believe that there is still a huge amount of untapped potential within the city, for this we shall have to revise our marketing strategy and put forward our products, with a more detailed approach and zeal to grow more and deliver amazing experiences.

General Questionnaire Question2] Analyse the year 2016 for AIESEC in Nagpur. What were the strengths and weaknesses? Evaluate the LC based on progress.

The year 2016 has been a mixed bag for AIESEC in Nagpur, the organization has announced itself as a brand in the city but we are yet to reach a stage where we could be given a tag of premier organization within the city. STRENGTHS    

Good Leadership Pipeline. Increase in number of partners for IGV and IGT. Increase in customer base for OGV. An Overwhelming Satisfactory response by the partners in terms of partnerships done by the ER department.

WEAKNESSES     

A lot of Match breaks in terms of OGV portfolio. No specific LC to LC partnership and lack of IR. No monetary partnership done by ER portfolio. Low Member Retention. Low engagement for the Board of Advisors.

AIESEC in Nagpur has grown in stature, judging by the fact that they also won an award in the national plenary, but has a long way to go considering the fact that General Member body of the LC is not aware of the importance of the work they are doing. The LC lacks in terms of Organizational Structure, and also in terms organizational understanding in members.

Lead By Example, Live your Legacy Shree Khartadkar | Applicant| Expansion Entity President 2017 | AIESEC in Nagpur

General Questionnaire Part 2 – LC Perspective Question 3] “Leadership is the capacity to translate Vision into reality.” Keeping the above in mind, what is your theme for AIESEC in Nagpur for the year 2017? How does this carry forward from 2016 along with defining our step towards 2020? My theme for AIESEC in NAGPUR for the year 2017 shall be “Lead by Example – Live Your Legacy“ The idea behind this is simple, AIESEC being a completely youth run organization has even a second side to it where it is also a leadership development organization wherein we want to develop leadership in people, because we feel youth leadership is the fundamental solution, . So going by this a leader can be anyone and even an AIESEC whether it is a MCP or a MCVP, LCP or a LCVP, TL or a team member, he or she is a leader within because “Position is not leadership, Position is just a channel for you to be at a higher level.” Leadership begins within you not with some position. At the end of the day, you yourself are the account of your journey and all the experiences. So when I say everyone is a leader and should lead by example I mean the individual should step out of his or her comfort zone and push his or her limits to an extent where in it becomes a personal benchmark in their personal life, setting up an example for the people to follow, that is how they shall leave their mark in the history of the local entity, this is when they can live their own legacy. Carrying persevere, the theme for last year forward by actually making each person associated to this organization, understand that “How powerful or how meaningful are the efforts they are putting in?” This massive youth movement which every AIESECer is a part of has tremendous & unimaginable power of changing the society or for that matter bringing the change in a city like Nagpur, we are growing slowly but steadily & surely by the time AIESEC 2020 is here we would have changed the lives of at least 2000 young leaders and changed the way the city thinks about the social inequality and have a very big impact in the city of Nagpur going global.

General Questionnaire Question 4] What do you think are the main priorities for AIESEC in Nagpur for the year 2017 as continuity from 2016? Explain broadly what your Focus Areas and consequent Strategies / Action Steps will be for the same

Focus Area  IGV & IGT matching

 Raising Money other than operations

 Financial Sustainability

 Engagement of Board of Advisors

 Entity support

 Coaching Sessions

 Member Engagement& Organizational development

 Intern House

 IGT & IGV

Strategy/Action Step  by creating strong LC to LC partnerships, hacking the growth with the presence of NSTs in major number of countries  Creating monetary partnerships with the City based Companies and Organizations  Aligning them to the Idea & Vision of the organization with adequate board meetings, doing two JBMs in a year.  Engaging the members with coaching sessions driven through BOA, MC or Parent Entity VPs regularly.  Raising an intern house as a part of in-kind partnership by tapping into the construction sector and giving them Global talent EPs as a vice-versa

Question 5] Define Culture in a creative way you feel fit. Critically analyze the Culture of 2016. What are the elements you would and would not like to take forward from the year? What are the key elements you want in the culture of 2017, and how will you make that happen?

First and foremost I understand culture as a set of values, norms of behaviour, rules, ethics, language etc., within a group of people such as, but not limited to, a population, a team, a class, a tribe or even a family. The setting these people are represented in may or may not have an impact on the culture they form as a group of human beings. The second way I understand culture is culture as art, theatre, music, films etc. In other words, leisure activities for people created by people intentionally for others to embrace enjoy and interpret. I know that my definition is closely related to the definitions you have probably read in school text books but aside from that, I do believe that it is a rich definition which makes sense to me. Things I would like to take forward from culture of 2016      

Office rules Stress on Member engagement Availability Goal oriented Culture Synergy Punctuality

Things I would not like to take forward from culture of 2016  Lethargic approach  No or low Accountability

Question 6] what are the value propositions for each ELD programme? How can you connect them to our local market? The core of the AIESEC experience is experiential leader development phase. We believe in experiential learning because individuals are dynamic learners. Each person develops in different times, ways and dimensions. AIESEC provides a powerful platform to explore and maximize their potential. These programs offered are to those share our values and believe in the opportunities we provide. The programs offered are Team Member Programme, Team Leader Programme, Global internship Programme, Global Community Development Programme Value propositions for Team Member Programme  A practical team experience.  Hard & Soft skills development.  An entrepreneurial and responsible attitude towards being a better leader. This program is the most widely accepted programme in our city, it enables a lot of young individuals to start their AIESEC journey. “A strong membership speaks a lot about the organization.” Keeping the above statement in mind program also helps us to create our relevance within the city. Value propositions for Team Leader Programme  A practical leadership experience Lead By Example, Live your Legacy Shree Khartadkar | Applicant| Expansion Entity President 2017 | AIESEC in Nagpur

General Questionnaire  Personal & professional development  Activities which develop an entrepreneurial and responsible attitude towards being a better leader.  Decision making intelligence This Program is the stepping stone towards leadership of any individual`s Journey in AIESEC, it is the first sense of some serious responsibilities towards the organization and looking at the youth of Nagpur, this programme could cause wonders for their personal development if they wish to take it. Value propositions for Global Community Development Programme  A cross cultural living & working experience  The opportunity to create some positive impact in the society  Personal development This programme helps to create direct impact in communities through the activities carried out by the partner organizations or hosts for the exchange participant. Nagpur is still expanding, we need to eradicate some social issues for better growth of the city, which can easily be done by the help of this programme and in a city like Nagpur where foreigners are still a matter of curiosity, they could help us create the sense of awareness every individual should have. Value propositions for Global Internship Programme  A professional development experience  A cross cultural living & working experience As we know, Nagpur in the coming days shall be a Cargo hub and introduction to the MIHAN dream is finally reaching its completion, so this program becomes of utmost importance for now, if we set our base with this program in the city now, the future for this program shall then see a prolific rise and huge demand.

Analyze the complete Customer Flow for the Products and what Constraints we are facing; Mention your Front Office and Back Office Strategies for every phase of the Customer Flow for the Products. As for now Nagpur has three products : 1. Outgoing Global Volunteer (OGV) 2. Incoming Global Volunteer (IGV) 3. Incoming Global Talent (IGT) Stage of Evolution:  Outgoing Global Volunteer: It has been the core product for Nagpur ever since, the entity was granted Official Expansion status. The growth we have seen in this portfolio over the past two years is prolific, but I still feel there is a huge untapped market for this product; this portfolio is in its Growth stage considering the market of Nagpur.  Incoming Global Volunteer : It saw a prolific growth ever since it was introduced in the year 2015, this year the portfolio has seen a decline in terms of numbers, the raises are then and there but the major problem is matching. This product is still in its Maturity phase considering the ground realities of Nagpur.  Incoming Global Talent : It saw no growth in the year it was introduced, 2016 has been different, we have already achieved our target of raises for the year but approvals and realisations still remain a problem due to no relevant IR for the entity. This product is in its introduction phase since a lot external institutions are not aware of it.

The BOA is not a Board of Directors (BOD), whose purpose is to have direct governance and control of an organization’s finances, policies, and personnel. We need to align them with our goal and idea about the organization. We can engage them in a quarterly meeting for better engagements and outcomes.

The past two years marketing as a portfolio has contributed a lot in terms of brand positioning, creating relevance helping operations etc, so what next? Year 2017 This year in 2017 marketing as a portfolio shall not only be important in terms of making partnerships with the local market and institutions, but also will synergize with the operations for entering the market with a more specific approach as to who our client is and what could catch his attention the most.

SPECIFIC QUESTIONNAIRE My top priority would be to strike University Relations with colleges and partnerships with institutions as this shall help us in 1. OGV portfolio- as this is the market we cater to in terms of our exchanges 2. It could help us in our search for city`s top talent and their engagement with AIESEC. Question 6] University Relations is a much discussed topic in AIESEC, but nothing has been done about it in Nagpur. What do you feel is the importance of URs and how do you feel it can help AIESEC in Nagpur? Present your plan and timeline to enter into Universities this year, and your outcome for the same. A university has the ability to either hinder the growth of a Local Committee or exponentially amplify it, depending on their understanding of the organization. The URs could provide a huge amount of leverage for AIESEC in Nagpur, For example: A university department sending a mass email to their students that endorses AIESEC, a university offering course credit for exchange, a university department funding students to go on exchange, a university listing AIESEC as an approved international exchange program shall not only benefit our OGX but ICX program too. It would result in Mass Number of selling for our OGV product. PLAN Partner with the University for their Annual Cultural Event, capitalize on that partnership and enter the university with adequate knowledge, presentations &promotional material. Identification and appointment of a Campus ambassador is of utmost importance as he shall be our only point of contact within the institution.

SPECIFIC QUESTIONNAIRE

MONTH

IMPLEMENTATIONS

 January

Most of the colleges have their annual cultural events , partner with them as an in-kind partner for Youth Outreach or Publicity partner.

 February

Identification and appointment of campus ambassador who could set up a meeting with the dean. This person shall be our first point of contact in the college.

 March

After a formal UR partnership has been signed, we could begin with our promotional & marketing strategy. This would involve delivering of IS, marketing for recruitments etc. Even if we don’t get the UR it`s a winwin situation we could always capitalize on the campus ambassador`s involvement with AIESEC & have a informal UR for that particular college.

SPECIFIC QUESTIONNAIRE Question 7] According to the changing scenario, AIESEC India is moving towards a state where expansions are tier 5 entities. What do you feel about this? This was bound to happen in the coming years, I am glad as this happened now, I would like to thank AIESEC India for this decision. This decision not only enables the expansions involved in the national plenary to compete among themselves but also to access as to where they stand in the network in terms of numbers & are always updated about the network. Question 8] “A satisfied customer is the best business strategy of all.” Comment on the importance of Customer Centricity. Analyze Customer Delivery of AIESEC in Nagpur for the year 2016. Describe your steps for each of our Customer’s (All programs) top detractor issues, along with providing a detailed plan for Customer Experience in 2017. In this digitally enhanced, always on and increasingly transparent world, brands that are not embracing customer centricity are likely to face more and more issues. Customer centricity is important for two major reasons 1. the balance of power has swung back toward customers, who now have access to more people in the company and can amplify their feelings and experience into their own networks 2. fostering long-term loyalty of your customer base is, not only more meaningful for all concerned in itself, it is more profitable The customer delivery in terms of partners has not at all been good, the fact that we have raises in hands and no matches or approvals is one of the major setbacks in our pursuit to become a Local Chapter. On the other hand Our EPs have always been satisfied with our delivery. So let`s just analyze how could we make it better. Customer Centricity (EPs) Start from Education in LC  Create model of servicing for our EP (structure, plans)  Education of members in our LC (Eg:-how to behave with EP) Lead By Example, Live your Legacy Shree Khartadkar | Applicant| Expansion Entity President 2017 | AIESEC in Nagpur

SPECIFIC QUESTIONNAIRE Introduction to AIESEC  Delivering IPS so that EPs understand the AIESEC way and know what they can expect from us. Clarity is necessery.  Integration with customer. If you want to get the loyalty of the Eps, So the EPs must know and trust us. It is all about EMOTIONS.  When making a meeting about their Exchange we must keep in mind two things: we are the specialists on their internship, so we must have all informations at hand; we can only promise what we can deliver, otherwise we will disappoint them.  Remember about EVALUATION,If we know what an EP needs, we can fullfill it.  Be open for feedback, We always strive for excellence. How to do this ?    

Constant communication with EP Always be ready to react Reception and integration Program or Portfolio knowledge

Our EP’s are our “free” promoters “Loyal customers reduce costs associated with consumer education and marketing, especially when they become Net Promoters for your entity”

Customer Centric – organizations Contact with our partner – organization  We must remember that members are ambassadors of AIESEC, That’s why their approach is a key to establish fruitful relations  Members must be perfectly prepared before meeting What they should do?  Know basic facts about organization Lead By Example, Live your Legacy Shree Khartadkar | Applicant| Expansion Entity President 2017 | AIESEC in Nagpur

SPECIFIC QUESTIONNAIRE    

Check how relations looked like in past Be aware what product he/she sells Be kind and polite Have creative presentation methods

Is it enough?  No! We’re not looking for one-time customers  The loyal customers are those who generate most profits!  The point of Customer centricity is to create loyal customer base and fullfil their needs! How to do it? The answer is : SERVICING

Good customer service is: After meeting output

High quality product delivery

PostEvaluation realization contact

Who should do that? • Account Manager. It is wider concept which focuses on individual approach to each customer. • By creating bond with customer, based on positive emotions,we shall assure clients satisfaction and re-raising! Question 9] what is the importance of the Board of Advisors in the context of 2017 and what are the ways AIESEC in Nagpur will capitalize much more in the year 2017?

Lead By Example, Live your Legacy Shree Khartadkar | Applicant| Expansion Entity President 2017 | AIESEC in Nagpur

SPECIFIC QUESTIONNAIRE  An AIESEC Local Committee (LC) Board of Advisor’s (BOA) purpose is to provide guidance, support, and feedback to the strategies, operations, and goals of the LC officer team. The BOA is not a Board of Directors (BOD), whose purpose is to have direct governance and control of an organization’s finances, policies, and personnel.  A BOA is as useful to an LC as the level of effort the LC puts into selecting the BOA, keeping them informed, and providing good opportunities for advisors to contribute their time and talent.  The BOA can be immensely valuable…for many LCs is has been one of their secrets to success and ability to survive and thrive for 25+ years. AIESEC in Nagpur needs to align the board with the goal & purpose of the organization, so as to make them more serious in the approach towards the organization. I propose a Joint Board Meeting every quarter for better assessment and guidance on the local level. Question 10] Talent Management i) what is your understanding of the distinction between TM as a function and TM as a program? Evaluate the performance of both in 2016. ii) Analyse both the recruitment conducted this year. How will you ensure we attract the Best Talent in the city and retain and develop them? What innovations do you propose in the existing processes to make them even more effective for next year? iii) “AIESEC is a storehouse of information. Every year it produces tons of useful and important data, however, it gets lost during transitions and everything starts from scratch every year.” How do you plan to evolve internal communication systems and data management systems into the LC? i] Talent management differs from HR processes for hiring, training, and retaining employees—and indeed from HR itself—in several key ways: 

Where hiring, training, and retention before were centralized in the HR department, with talent management many of these duties are federated to the front-line managers actually leading the employees in question. In this way the whole organization is responsible for, and has a stake in these activities.

Lead By Example, Live your Legacy Shree Khartadkar | Applicant| Expansion Entity President 2017 | AIESEC in Nagpur

SPECIFIC QUESTIONNAIRE 

HR is more administrative-focused, dealing with pay, vacation days, benefits, and complaints, while talent management is almost singularlyfocused on helping and improving the top talent in the organization. Think professional development vs. tracking attendance.

Talent management is strategic, often manifesting as a company-wide long-term plan closely associated with overall business goals, while HR is more tactical, dealing with the day-to-day management of people.

ii] Recruitments  Q 1 recruitment- this was one of the best recruitments considering the talent in-take and leadership pipeline. This recruitment had the OC in place way before and had the time to market the fact we were recruiting, physical presence in colleges ensured that we get the top talent from the colleges.  Q 3 Recruitment- This recruitment could have had more relevance if we would have marketed the fact that we were hiring, we totally relied on social media platforms for our marketing. No physical presence in the colleges cost us a lot. Recruitment Strategy  Targeted – The targeted approach is reaching out to a small pool of candidates that have a specific skill and desirable characteristics that meet your organizations needs  Broad-based – Positions that require minimal training create a greater pool of potential volunteers and you can therefore reach out to a wider audience.  Concentric circles – The individuals in the immediate network of your organization have contacts and social ties that might be interested in accepting a volunteer position.  Marketing: this shall help us to reach out to maximum number of young individuals & create relevance for the brand in the city. iii] As per now we have been using e-mails and social media platforms like whatsapp and Facebook as our only source of internal communication within this organization, I don`t think much can be changed here, regarding the data part we have the idea about using Google drive for our documents, surveys, tools present online or offline in addition to it I shall encourage use of one hard Lead By Example, Live your Legacy Shree Khartadkar | Applicant| Expansion Entity President 2017 | AIESEC in Nagpur

SPECIFIC QUESTIONNAIRE drive within the LB and another to the MB. This shall ensure that no data is lost for all specific portfolios. Question11] Finance and Legal i)Define a financially sustainable LC. How do you envision AIESEC in Nagpur in 2017 with respect to being financial profitable and investment-friendly? ii) Mention how can Finance as a portfolio provide “Strategic Direction” to the LC? What innovations can be inculcated in this portfolio in 2017? iii) Considering AIESEC in Nagpur has never had a proper financial tracking system. What systems do you plan to introduce for the entity for proper tracking and management? i] According to me a financial sustainable LC is:  One which has good amount of reserves & assets  Should not have any amount pending to the external organizations at the end of the year.  Should be able to function without the funds raised by BD/ER  Has long term investments  Has a good inflow of cash in ever quarter  Has a good track of inflow and outflow of cash I think in 2017 we have to be more careful with investing of the funds in hand but not be timid at the same time. Investment in members and to smoothen operations often is forgotten, so does investment in a workplace as it is of utmost importance for the office culture to grow. In terms of being profitable I feel the exchange portfolios achieve their target and BD/ER gets us income from the events, which is a very difficult task to accomplish. ii] In terms of Finance providing strategic direction to the LC, it is crucial to provide the organization with a sustainable financial platform to enlarge the impact of AIESEC and make it possible to realize its activities in a long-term perspective, Also by understanding and aligning with stakeholders’ requirements, a service-focused Finance function can deliver timely, insightful business intelligence that will contribute to an organization’s competitive advantage.

SPECIFIC QUESTIONNAIRE The main steps for financial processes are:1. Financial Planning and Forecasting 2. Financial Controlling and Monitoring 3. Financial Risk Management 4. Revenue generation 5. Financial Reporting Some innovations that I shall propose for 2017 are:  Affective financial reporting  Affective risk management mechanisms  Introduction of finance as a portfolio in the back office with a team leader for better tracking iii] As I said above, one of the mechanisms would be the introduction of TL in the portfolio & another would be creation of affective tools for proper financial tracking. Question 12] AIESEC in Nagpur has been at an expansion for two years now. What major steps do you plan to take which will take this entity to new heights? In this world of variables Change is the only constant we have, so why not brinng that change to the society we live in. If I am able to change Customer`s,Member`s & EP`s opinion about working in this organaization to happy it shall be the success measure for me. YOU AND AIESEC

Question 1] Why have you decided to run for the role of EEP of AIESEC Nagpur over any other opportunity in or outside AIESEC? This organization has given me a lot in the past seven months I have been a part of it. Through this organization I have realised the importance of time, efforts and hard work. This organisation has made me ambitious, which is in every sense very important for the growth of a person. My vision is to give something back to the organization by cultivating the culture of change within this entity for better adaptability to the cultural indifference, I want to leave my mark on this entity by helping them achieve a new scale where in we wouldn`t only become a Local Committee but shall make our way towards being granted the full membership by AIESEC India. There are innumerable opportunities outside AIESEC but believe me when I say that this opportunity is one of its kind only. I believe I am ready to take this entity like a parent and nurture it for the next whole year.

Question 2] As the EEP of AIESEC in Nagpur, you will be the face of AIESEC in Nagpur. You must embody in yourself every aspect that you wish your Local Committee to stand for.’ Comment on this statement while focusing on your own personality traits and mention what you believe you need to embody yet? As I have already said that Change is the only constant in this world of variables, if that change is in the favour of the organization is hall take full responsibility in bringing that change up and into implementation. We are a young democratic organization; we need to take the decision best in the context of the organization and its growth. So I shall do whatever it takes to inculcate values missing in me. Focussing on my personality traits I shall have to embody patience & calmness, for the betterment of my own personality & the growth of the organization. Lead By Example, Live your Legacy Shree Khartadkar | Applicant| Expansion Entity President 2017 | AIESEC in Nagpur

YOU AND AIESEC Question 3] what does a fully functioning self dependent entity mean to you? How do you see your role in AIESEC in Nagpur becoming that entity? My idea of a fully functioning self dependent entity is a business module which is selfdetermined, self-governing & self reliant. An entity that does not require any external help for its own growth is a self dependent entity for me. The growth of such entity is based upon the actions & strategies implemented within the organization, by its members in all capacity. I believe I can channelize the strategies and actions put up by the members to the best affect in the entirety of this entity. My role in AIESEC in NAGPUR becoming that entity shall be like that of a “Gardner with a sapling”, I would give all the ingredients necessary to this kind of entity for the growth with the help of members and other people who are associated to this organizations.

YOU AND AIESEC

Question 6] you have completed the application. How do you feel? The completion of this application gives me immense sense of responsibility & accountability that I have incurred by taking up the option to apply, right now I can say that this has been one of the best decisions of my entire life to apply for something so great, something so powerful and yet so grounded. It gives me immense amount of satisfaction to have been part of such a powerful mechanism to determine the leader of this entity.

Lead By Example, Live your Legacy Shree Khartadkar | Applicant| Expansion Entity President 2017 | AIESEC in Nagpur

Proposal Letter To, Mohsin Ahmed Khan Expansion Entity President AIESEC in Nagpur, India Subject: Proposer for Shree Khartadkar’s application for the position of Expansion Entity President 2017. I have known Shree for not more than three months, in which I have seen him take up challenges of scales he has never faced before. I had the honor to mentor him and opportunity to observe him closely, and I have always seen him growing with every challenge he faced. It is appreciable how his aggression and spirit form powerful tools that enable him to achieve that which he has set his focus on. AIESEC in Nagpur took on the challenge of delivering Youth Speak Forum 2016, of which, Shree was Core Committee President. It was thrilling to see the tremendous efforts Shree and his team put in to make the event a huge success. Throughout YSF, I was looking out for things the event was low on, and I was glad I couldn’t criticize Shree or his team after the event. To top it all, he got selected in National Support Teams of AIESEC Rwanda and AIESEC Morocco, both, during the YSF organizing period. All this, because Shree is the embodiment of the precise definition of leadership. His leadership has become a way of life for him, and to say the least, is an inspiration to many, including me. During the conversations we had, I realized how closely Shree paid attention to details. He is always mindful of his conversations, behavior and responsibilities. More than that, he is appropriately sensitive, which has proven an asset for him so far. Most importantly, his charm and his fierce approach towards self and organizational development are noteworthy. I am more than glad to propose Shree’s application for the post of Expansion Entity President and I am sure he will do his best to make sure AIESEC in Nagpur scales newer and greater heights under his able leadership and carry forward the legacy of delivering powerful learning experiences for all stakeholders involved. With this, I, Kunal Munje, propose Shree Khartadkar’s application for the post of Expansion Entity President of AIESEC in Nagpur 2017.

Yours Sincerely, Kunal Munje Head of Operations (2014), AIESEC in Nagpur, India.

Seconding Letter

To, Mohsin Ahmed Khan, Expansion Entity President, AIESEC in Nagpur, India. Subject: Proposer seconding Shree Khartadkar’s application for the post and office of Expansion Entity President 2017. Over the past 10 months that Shree has been a part of AIESEC, I have seen nothing but growth and improvement in him in most, if not all aspects. I still remember the day after the recruitment, when me and Kiran were fighting over what department does Shree get recruited to, to the day when he stepped up to the challenge and took on the role of the Core Committee President for Youth Speak Forum. Over the time that I’ve known him, I have had the chance to work with Shree when he was both a member, and a team leader. The fact that he decided to take on dual job roles, as a Team Leader for Global Citizen Students department and as a Team Member for Global Talent Organizations department is testament enough about how eager Shree is to learn and that he is always ready to take up a challenge and see to that he completes it. Personally, I have always felt that my Team Leaders did a better job at member engagement that I ever could, and Shree’s time as a Team Leader is proof enough of this statement. I’ve always been proud of him, and I am proud and honored to second his application for the post and office of Expansion Entity President 2016. I am sure that every decision he takes will be in the best interest of this organization, and the will do everything in his abilities to take AIESEC in Nagpur forward. With this, I, Subhag Dolke, second Shree Khartadkar’s application for the office of Expansion Entity President, 2017. Yours’ sincerely,

Subhag Dolke Expansion Entity Vice President, Outgoing Global Volunteers, AIESEC in Nagpur.

To whomsoever it may Concern It is a pleasure to endorse my son Shree Khartadkar, as an applicant to the office of Expansion Entity President of AIESEC in NAGPUR for the year 2017. Over the past 7 months of his association with AIESEC, I have seen quite a lot of changes in his behaviour and general conduct. He has grown much stronger as a person and developed a lot of skills like Man management, Leadership Skills & networking. In the month of august i don’t remember if i have ever seen him sleep quietly and till late afternoons which was generally the case prior to these 7 months. Such is his love for the organization that he has taken up multiple job roles not only in the local aiesec chapter but internationally as well. His curiosity, creativity and willingness to learn, his passion and determination all make him an ideal candidate for this post. I believe that he shall give his best, if selected and I will be there to support him throughout his term. With this I give him the letter of endorsement for the position of expansion entity president for AIESEC in Nagpur for the year 2017. Thanking you Yours Sincerely

Swati Tushar Khartadkar
