Our GOAL Engage and develop all the young people in the world by empowering them with 4 leadership traits: being solution oriented, a global citizen, having self aware and being able to empower others.
GLOBAL VOLUNTEER is a product that brings together groups of international youth to volunteer in Sweden on social impact projects related to one of the Sustainable Development Goals. Our volunteers are passionate about promoting youth leadership, global citizenship, and embracing diversity.
Did you know? According to Swedish Food Agency (article from 2019-02) Every year, the average Swede throws away around 19 kilogrammes of perfectly edible food and 26 kilogrammes food and drink is thrown down the sink. The cost of that food is enough to get by on for a whole month. Producing food contributes to global warming and environmental degradation. Swedish households throw away food equivalent to a carbon footprint of 442 000 tonnes a year. It takes 360,000 cars to create that much pollution.
Food Mission
This project is a part of the Feed the Planet initiative in partnership with Electrolux Food Foundation. Project FOOD MISSION, allows volunteers to contribute to Sustainable Development Goal 12 by preventing food waste in Sweden. Volunteers will be educate kids (8-12 year old) on food waste management, sustainable eating habits, reusing practices and reducing the consumption and food waste.
Throughout their exchange, volunteers will... GTK and Learn deeper about SDGs Gather data on production & consumption history, food waste level of the country/city Field visit to Food Bank or partner NGOs to learn about local food waste issue on-site and/or support to deliver its activities. Note: * The fee for entering the internship details into the AIESEC Youth Opportunity Portal (aiesec.org), our online matching database and catering costs that we incur during the process of selecting the right candidate.These costs include calls, office and administrative materials (rent, paper, etc), processing visa and other administrative tasks. The fee is also including intern reception preparation, Intern pick-up on arrival, Intern assistance, accommodation and Intern integration.The management fee is charged on arrival of the intern into the organization for their internship.

Our Volunteers We understand that our international volunteers are the biggest drivers of success for this program. That’s why we do our best to ensure that they will create a safe and impactful experiences for themselves, their host organization and the community that they serve. To achieve this, we carefully select volunteers through a strict selection process based on requirements decided by the host organization. We review and screen applications along with resumes, videos and interviews. We also work with the volunteers before the program begins to ensure that they arrive to Sweden fully prepared.
