PRESIDENT AIESEC INTERNATIONAL.

WELCOME If you are planning to run for President of AIESEC International, don’t hesitate to contact the current AIESEC International Team and the current PAI, Abdelrahman Ayman at abdelrahmana@ai.aiesec.org.
First of all if you are reading this because you are applying, or considering applying, or have the ambition to apply one day I appreciate you, I salute you, congratulate you, and grateful to have you as part of the organization. This journey is one of the most humbling journeys you will ever embark on, one that is revealing, full of challenges, learnings, and fulfillment. I won’t tell you it’s only full of positive days, an incredible team experience, and happiness. Because it’s not and some days you’ll struggle to keep it together. But I’ll tell you that’s beauty of it, it’s as REAL as any life experience you’ll ever go through. You’ll get the chance to foster and nurture a team that you put together, lead a global network of more than 50K young people, create an impact on the lives of more than 100K people, and remind me again how old are you ……. ??? How incredible is that, what other opportunity could give the chance to create that scale of impact at such a young age. I’m proud to say I am a biased promoter, in love with my job. It sets my soul on fire every morning to run out of bed and start working or stay the extra hour because I’m too into something we’re working on, or looking forward to come back to the office after a trip to be with the team I’m in love with, and not to forget taking 7 or 8 flights back to back where you get a chance to be with your MCPs that would always have your back like you have theirs, or the network that would remind you every day of what you fight for! I know I talk a lot hahaha but it’s very difficult to sum up for you how it feels to even put these words together, I just wish you the best, I wish you the struggle as much as the win, I wish you the feeling of being lost as much as the moment of clarity. Give it your all and this experience will take you places you would only dream of!

MESSAGE FROM DPDHL Dear AIESEC members! The election of the new AIESEC President International is open! I wish you a lot of success In a constantly changing world, social values and norms are the corne rstones on which we choose our actions and decisions. AIES EC has been doing this very successfully for nearly 70 years, following the principle of "Consistent in change, constant in principle". This motive was already visionary in 1948 and continues to exist. The idea of providing young people with a framework in which they can develop confidence in their own abilities and at the same time make important experiences in other cultures is a key to success. It seems as important to me today as yesterday to develop the leaders of tomorrow. They will play an important role in shaping our society in the future: in politics, in business or in social functions. AIES EC's goal is to shape young people minds with values, vision and skills, that also have the courage to fill gaps and mistakes. This combination of personal and professional skills leads to creating leaders with entrepreneurial thinking that see the world and society not as a challenge, but as an opportunity. Deutsche Post DHL Group is connected to AIESEC and the exchange for 20 years: Currently we employ 100 AIESEC trainees. They enrich our corporate culture and bring the values of AIES EC into our Group. At DPDHL Group we are guided by similar principles as AIESEC. We define them under the term of Leadership Attributes with the three basic values "Head, Heart and Guts". Specifically, we appeal to our leaders to act in a results-oriented manner, to use their strengths, to convey purpose, to build trust, to set focus on their priorities and to address challenges, uncertainty and change in a positive way. We continuously support our managers in implementing these values in their everyday lives, and in leading their teams in the best possible way. We also encourage them to occasionally leave their own comfort zone, reflect on themselves and allow mistakes. As you can see, AIES EC and Deutsche Post DHL Group combine very similar ideas and values. The employment of AIESEC interns in our group is, in our view, an excellent symbiosis from which both sides benefit equally. I look forward to the new President of AIESEC International team and wish you an exciting, interesting election for the new president. Yours, Thomas Ogilvie Board Member for Human Resources, Deutsche Post DHL Group
