WELCOME If you are planning to apply for the AIESEC International Team, do not hesitate to contact the current AIESEC International Team or the Elections Manager, Omar Issa, at omari@ai.aiesec.org.
This package includes all information about the AIESEC International Role (Vice President, Manager, Director, etc.). You will be ableto useall your creativitywhen creating and designing yourown application to stand for AIESEC International 2018-2019. The questionnaire can be found in the “Questionnaire� Booklet.
JOB DESCRIPTION This year we will launch applications to be part of AIESEC International without a specific structure. You can find the general questionnaire in a separate document.
These are the requirements of applying for the AIESEC International 18.19 team:
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY + VIDEO
• A one-page summary of your entire application • The link to your AI application video that consist of : o Briefly introducing yourself, your AIESEC experiences, motivation, and the main ideas you have for the organization as AI 18.19 o Not exceeding more than 7 minutes o You can choose to give a general answer of the AIESEC that you envision in the next year or o You can choose to give further explanation of one of the questions in the Specific Questionnaire

• A one page of your own biography
CURICULUM VITAE
• Give us all relevant info about you, your AIESEC career, other experiences you have had, your contact details, etc. You can use a maximum of one (1) page to create your CV.
AI QUESTIONANAIRE
These should not take more than 7 (seven) pages. • There are 6 blocks of questions separated in the roles of AIESEC International • Each block has 5 questions, in which the candidate will choose 1 question per block to answer. • All of the blocks need to be answered and the candidate must choose 1 block in which they must answer 3 questions. • In total, the candidate will answer 8 questions in the Specific Questionnaire and 3 questions in the General Questionnaire for a total of 11 questions.
BLANK PAPER CHALLENGE
You have 1 page and all your creativity to propose what is the biggest question that lies in front of AIESEC today and give an answer to it. You have the license to change the system, to challenge any paradigms and unleash the potential of the organization.
ENDORSEMENT LETTERS You must submit three (3) endorsement letters. • One endorsement letter from the applicant’s Home entity. In the case that the applicant’s home entity does not want to provide and endorsement, they need to submit a report to AI stating the reason which shall then be released to the global plenary. • One endorsement letter from another AIESEC entity. • One endorsement / recommendation letter from an external (outside of AIESEC). • An endorsement letter from AIESEC must be signed by the Member Committee President of the entity and state that it is made on behalf of the entity. • In case we receive more than 3 endorsements, you will be requested to choose 3 that you wish to be enclosed as official endorsements with your application. This limit aims to avoid mass redundant endorsements.
LEGAL DOCUMENTS
For entities who have received requests for endorsement letters – granting a letter means you believe that the individual is a good candidate for the position. It does not mean that you believe they would be the best for the position. Please DO NOT grant letters for individuals who you do not feel would be suitable.
If for any reason you were not able to obtain them on time, we at least need papers proving that you have initiated the procedures for obtaining all the above documents, in order to consider your application is complete. We do need all legal documents, with no exception by the 3rd of March 2018, whatever candidate that does not provide such documents will immediately leave the selection process.
REQUIREMENTS FOR A WORKING PERMIT IN CANADA Together with application form you have to submit: Nationals of all other countries (other then Canada) • • •

Copy of passport – ALL pages including the blank ones. The passport should be valid at least 2 years after the start of the new AI term. Copy of original and translated birth certificate. The documents must come from an official body. Please note that birth certificate should not be mistaken for certificate of birth registry - these are two separate documents, what we need is the birth certificate. Copy of your diploma (if graduated) with academic transcripts (this is the paper that you get from your university's registrar that outlines all the courses that you have taken in the university and the corresponding marks for each course. The document should be translated into English if it’s written in another language.) If you have not graduated yet you need to get latest academic transcripts from your university. The name of the city and country where you will pick up your Canadian visa if you get elected (you should pick up your visa in your home country unless you have an official residence of currently residing country that valid for at least 5 months after the new AI term). Your home address (with a zip code) in country where you will pick up your Canadian. o Notice: The process of issuing the Canadian visa might take up to 3 months (!) You may not have a criminal record. Note: If you are an AIESEC International member, you are not required to resubmit documents. If you are an EU citizen you do need to submit the aforementioned documents since you did not have to do this to work in The Netherlands.
ALL Documents should be translated into English. Translation should be from an certified translator. All the above-mentioned documents should be provided at the applicant’s own expense. NOTE! Copies of ALL the above documents must be provided otherwise we CANNOT apply for the work permit and working visa. Keep original documents with you, because the Embassy may request them again in your country and once you are registered in Canada, they may ask to see the originals again. The above documents should be scanned in good quality (in resolution good enough to be able to print and read all numbers and letters) and attached together with your application for AIESEC International. If for any reason you were not able to obtain them on time, we at least need papers proving that you have initiated the procedures for obtaining all the above documents, in order to consider your application is complete. You will be required to apply for a Schengen visa to attend the transition period unless you are an EU Citizen *Legal documents required might be changed during the process. We will immediately update this document and inform candidates throughout the process. The deadline for submitting your application and all the needed materials (blank paper challenge, etc.) is 17:00 GMT Friday, 23rd of February 2018. You shall submit your application at https://podio.com/webforms/20064677/1362963 Late applications - even by a few minutes - WILL NOT be accepted, and no exceptions will be given, including in the cases of email/computer dysfunction. Extensions will not be given. As such, we strongly recommend you do not wait until the last minute to submit your application, as you will be risking it not being accepted should unforeseen events occur. You will receive confirmation of receipt of your application as soon as it has been received (only if reception of the applications happens during AIESEC International working hours). o If reception of applications occurs out of working hours you will be notified of reception within a maximum of 48 hours. Any member considering to apply or re-apply for any role on the AIESEC International team should not be involved in any part of the formation of the application or selection process (including but not limited to the formation of general and role specific questions). This is with the exception of the formation of job descriptions. For more details on the AI Application Process, please look at the supporting document that outlines the AI application process. To stand for the position of AI, you must participate in the selection process as follows: 1. 2. 3. 4.
The PAI elect decides on the final structure and the positions of the AI team within the legislated budget AI will announce the applicants that have successfully submitted the complete application. PAI elect can shortlist the candidates based on application and videos and then proceed to have interviews with the candidates if deemed necessary. AI will announce all candidates that are still in the selection process.

The announced candidates will participate in a virtual Questions and Answer session that will be arranged. These will happen within the 5 days of the announcement of candidates. All candidates are required to be available for the period specified in the process within the 5 days when candidates are expected to have basic Internet access during this period.

After completion of the Questions and Answers session, Global Plenary online confidence voting will commence, based on the application, endorsements, videos and Question and Answers session. The deadline for voting should be announced along with the nomination of all the candidates. The deadline can be no sooner than 5 days after the nomination and announcement of all candidates. The online confidence voting will be for the AI team, and not for a specific position.

PAI Elect will decide from the candidates that receive a vote of confidence from the Plenary.

Once a result is achieved for the selection, the announcement should be made to the Global Plenary. No candidate will be selected if they fail to submit the legal documents required to be legally hired by AIESEC International.
Transition commences immediately after your selection. Discussions and work will be done through the use of EXPA, e-mail etc. • • • • •
Transition will start immediatelyafter selection. Full time transition for TLs and Management Team of AI 2018-2019 starts on 15 th of May, team members start on 1st of June. AI will provide financial support throughout this period of transition Your own transition (at national level, if you are on a Member Committee) has to be completely finished by the time you come to Rotterdam. It is vital that all candidates are committed to being in Rotterdam in accordance to the dates of physical transition.
