Engaging your network for final sprint: using internal communication

OBJECTIVES To help you understand how to engage your network team for final peak To guide you in how you can use internal communications for this To give some tips and examples on how you can make a good final sprint with the network

Engage your network First, a check point: 1.  Have you already communicated the final sprint topic to your network? How many days they still have and goals missing? 2. Are you having constant communication with your network now for the peak? 3. Do you know exactly from which LCs you are expecting the biggest contribution?

Engage your network Some things you can start doing: STEP 1

Analyze your network

1.  Make sure you know the amount of goal per program you s6ll need 2.  Analyze from where(LCs) the biggest amount of results that you need is coming from 3.  If you are expec6ng a great amount of results for all programs from the same LCs maybe this is a 6me to rethink about what kind of support they will need or even if this will be realis6c – is it possible to reallocate the results expected to other LCs? 4.  By now you should be at the phase to start focusing on MA. Make sure the resources are allocated in a smart way that you have people suppor6ng this

Engage your network Some things you can start doing: STEP 2

Define your message and align your channels for it

1.  Define what message you want to give to this Final Sprint and main behaviors you expect from it 2.  Start thinking about all the channels you already have and how to align everything with the same message 3.  Redefine how you are going to recognize your LCs 4.  Use the GTCM to guarantee that the message is being implemented 5.  Enjoy: make sure that the MC is also part of it: set milestones where you will make a celebration when you achieve it

Engage your network Some things you can start doing: STEP 3

Define your support for this peak

1.  Based on what are the LCs that are gonna contribute the most, also guarantee that you have a specific support to them 2.  Guarantee that all the network is receiving constant messages and support: this is the moment to make it happen 3.  As MCP also start contacting your LCPs: also design what kind of support they will receive from you even if it is more sharing of experience every week (related to the peak delivery and dealing with the team)

Engage your network Some things you can start doing: STEP 4

Make sure you have a good R&R system in place for the final sprint

1.  Define a constant R&R system from here until the end of the term: showcase stories of success and achievements 2.  Connect all this with the key message you have for your term 3.  Recognize LC’s and members constantly 4.  The MC can also be part of it: start doing more personalize recognition (videos, calls)

Tips and examples Some tips 1.  You can start calling your LCVPs and LCPs every week from the MC to recognize those that did well that week 2.  Make sure you have a nice visual tracking also in your MC that your MC can follow when the milestones are being achieved 3.  Celebrate success: even the small ones and make sure your network knows about it 4.  Make a big incentive system where every week you are showing the results of the LCs and sharing the best stories

Tips and examples Some examples AIESEC in Malaysia started a super good final sprint campaign using all the steps we shared here and this week they had LCs that even overachieved their goals!!! One more reason to see that it works!

Remember: Engage the 1516 team in this message and deliverables!!!
