MyLDS 2017 MyLDS, also known as Malaysia Leadership Development Seminar is the largest national conference of AIESEC in Malaysia which is held annually. All the 14 AIESEC entities in Malaysia will come together for this conference for a week. On the 26th to 30th of July, 2017, all 14 local chapters of AIESEC in Malaysia gathered together at Universiti Putra Malaysia for the Malaysia Leadership Development Seminar 2017. The theme for this year’s MyLDS was “The Year of Moonshot” which signifies our upcoming journey to leap beyond our current goals and achieving greater heights.
MyLDS 2017 started off with Global Village whereby every entity showcased the cultures of countries that they were assigned to. There were a lot of fun activities to let everyone know about all the different countries in the world. In this conference, we had a lot of fun and also learnings, especially sessions to understand ourselves better. There were lots of reflections on why is it so important for us to serve the youth in Malaysia. Want to know more? Join us and you can experience it yourselves!

Opportunities Eddie Hey Eddie, have you heard of AIESEC before? Of course la! AIESEC is the world’s largest youth-led organisation. We focus on developing leadership in youth to achieve peace and fulfilment of humankind’s potential. Ooh that sounds cool! What can I learn if I join AIESEC? You can develop soft skills such as communication, crisis management, analysis, planning and etc. You can also gain a large network of friends! AIESEC in UM will be hosting the next Southern Regional Leadership Conference (SRLC) this October. SRLC is an induction conference for all new members to kick-start their leadership journey. We will have AIESEC in Johor Bahru (JB), AIESEC in Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) and AIESEC in Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) to join us in this conference. We are now recruiting organizing committee members to help us out in planning and execution. Through out the experience, there will be training and guidance being provided for you to complete your tasks. We will also do our best to let you experience the leadership development in AIESEC which you might not get from other organizations. Story Time Six weeks gone just in the blink of an eye. What I gained are far more than what I expected. I learnt different culture without actually traveling to the countries, I had a lot of fun and crazy moments with these people, they taught me about treasure, bravery and reflection. I have to admit that I had a pity during this journey, but the warmest friendship lighted up all my darkness. Thanks everyone for creating this brilliant memory.
