YE S PROJECT


Introduction This is a project aimed to inculcate the concept of entrepreneurship in the lives of young Ghanaians. The project is designed to address the unawareness of and incapability in entrepreneurship in the youth and to promote youth entrepreneurship as an important source of innovation and creativity, a solution for unemployment and poverty, and a catalyst for social and economical development in Africa. YES is aimed at building up an entrepreneurial mindset amongst its young population. Participating students will be equipped theoretically and practically to take up entrepreneurship. There will be highly experienced and qualified resource person’s to speak on entrepreneurship. The intern will teach participant’s how to write a good business plan and create the avenue for participants to speak to financial experts on what they look out for in a business plan amongst others. YES is aimed at building up an entrepreneurial mindset amongst its young population. Participating students will be equipped theoretically and practically to take up entrepreneurship.


The Job Role  During the week interns will go to schools, to teach student how to start-up businesses, write business proposals as well as how to write business plans.  Interns will organize an entrepreneurship seminar on the final week of the project; the seminar will be held for students to expose them to the different modules (marketing, finances, legal registration, product/service delivery, etc) and receive lectures from external guests including resource persons from corporate bodies, foundations, NGOs, and other institutions linked to the project.  Interns will raise and manage funds for the project


The Job Role  The intern shall create linkages between Ghanaian enterprises with local enterprises and educational institutions. Raise partners for the project.  Interns will be acting as facilitators and guides during the process, also bringing best case practices of entrepreneurs from their countries of origin, expanding the perspective of the local students and increasing their international exposure and mindsets.  Interns will promote and advertise the project on the media
