Welcome brave Candidate, It’s my great pleasure that I first congratulate you for this bold impact you have embarked on, welcome on board, seat comfortably and fasten your seat belt and let’s fly this plane, I am going to be your captain and your steward on this flight no 2016/2017 to AIESEC in Rwanda. Very recently I got selected to take the entity to next step and I want you to be with me while we deliver to this promising expectation toward a life changing experience, a transformation to the movement and an achievement for everyday. You will wonder why should i come to Rwanda, in the Eastern part of Africa? Why AIESEC in Rwanda? Allow me to give you some light: You need an entity that will give a sense of belonging, a sense of being useful and above all spicily challenging you enough to do not leave at all cost. Kigali Paul KAGAME Francs, (1Frw = ) 11.78 miliions (2013) 26,338 square kilometers. English, French and the Native Kinyarwanda. Rwanda a land of thousand hills and million smiles, is located in Central/Eastern Africa, and is bordered by the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west, Uganda to the north, Tanzania to the east, and Burundi to the south. It lies a few degrees south of the equator and is landlocked. The capital, Kigali, is located near the center of Rwanda. The people are so friendly despite they reservation and big attachment to their traditional values. A story you should know about this great national, is their patriotism and solution oriented citizens, On the last Saturday of every month, every Rwandan, starting with the President, participates in Umuganda, a day of national community service. Through Umuganda, Rwandans have built schools, medical centers, hydroelectric plants, and rehabilitated wetlands to create highly productive agricultural plots, and cleaned their cities, towns and villages – making Kigali one of the cleanest cities in Africa.

Aiesec in Rwanda Background 2006

•AIESEC in Rwanda initiative of expansion was initiated by AIESEC in Kenya

•AIESEC in Rwanda was officially launched as Unit of Expansion of AIESEC in Kenya and AIESEC in 2007 Beligium

•The entity opened its two official expansions to become full LCs later

•The entity brought in East Africa the TCS Partnership for its very first time in the Region.

•AIESEC in Rwanda hosted the first Regional Congress in East Africa outside Kenya, “Pioneers 2010 Congress”

•AIESEC in Rwanda, Got a government partnership for exchange purposes and new SU expansions •AIESEC in Rwanda, Brought a global Celebration in the country, Global Entrepreneurship Week.

•AIESEC in Rwanda initiated a partnership with the National University and got an expansion 2013 there.

•AIESEC in Rwanda expanded massively to 2 LCs and 3 SUs •AIESEC in Rwanda brought another Global Celebration in the country GLOBAL Money Week and sealed an important Partnership with the one Public University in Rwanda.

LIVING & working conditions for national team LIVING:

The national Team of AIESEC in Rwanda is accommodated in the MC Flats in Nyarutarama Estate, (15 min away from the airport). A twin apartments with 6 rooms all.

STIPPEND AND COST OF LIVING: The operation cost for daily activities of the National team is being catered for by the entity. The field Visits and LC coaching are also provided with regards to the work to be done. There is no salary allocated to the national Team but living allowances will be calculated with regards to income generated.

WORKING: The national office of AIESEC in Rwanda is located in the Headquarters of University of Rwanda at Gikondo (a 30 min on Moto or 1hour in public transport buses). The MCVP roles are permanent & full time jobs ( 40hours per 5days). No work is scheduled during Week-ends unless special circumstances imposes so. A different working pattern might be followed with regards to event and tasks to be accomplished (Conferences, LC Coach's,‌.)

Mc member responsibilities The Member Committee’s role is to work together, to pursue collective direction, objectives and strategies to support LCs in their activities, with the aim to develop AIESEC in Rwanda. Apart from his responsibility in his department, an MC member in AIESEC in Rwanda is:

1. Representing AIESEC in Rwanda nationally and internationally within AIESEC network 2. Developing and driving national strategies based on portfolio responsible for 3. Coaching Local Committees & coordination of LC work 4. Organizing Trainings and TOT for Members. 5. External relations management while representing AIESEC externally 6. Attendance in MC meetings and MC days 7. Regular & annual reports of work done to AIESEC in Rwanda 8. Active preparation and participation in BoA meetings 9. Mcvp Application process. Screening: Application will be screened by panel consists of member committee 15.16 and MCPe to decide if the candidate is eligible to move on to vote of confidence. The screening result will be announced by email to applicants and will be posted in our social media channels Vote of Confidence: Vote of Confidence will be held in conjunction with the Local Committee Presidents and Specialized Unit presidents on the 10th March 2016. Interview  The applicant will be interviewed by a panel consists of local committee presidents and the current member committee 15.16.  The interview will assess an applicant’s knowledge of the AIESEC way, the motivation of the applicant, and the leadership and management experience he or she possesses. Only applicant whom have passed the vote of confidence will be an eligible candidate for the interview on the 11th – 12th March 2016.  ALL candidates who received confirmation of application are required to be physically present. (Although virtual interview will only be organized specially for international applicants).
