Members will be placed into smaller local committees and are given a general LC situation. From that point on, they will be given various tasks to complete, in which they would be completing in a normal AIESEC year, but instead there won’t be external factors to prevent their productivity. It’s a race against time to see who can bring their LC back to the top.

We would like to especially thank our Board of Advisers for all their time and wisdom! Next up:

EL LE N LAW I N I N D ON E SI A Once again, AIESEC SFU has sent one of our own on an exciting exchange! Ellen Law is currently in Indonesia on a Development Internship Exchange with Mercy Corps Indonesia. Mercy Corps is a non-profit, non-government international organization who works amid disasters, conflicts, chronic poverty and instability to unleash the potential of people who can win against nearly impossible odds. Good to know that she is making a difference in the world! During her stay there, she has been given fantastic hospitality by her host family and she has also taken the time to travel around the region and attend AIESEC events. Ellen has been kind enough to share her experiences in her blog at http://ckmh.wordpress.com/
“Yuli has encouraged me to expand my thinking and allowed me to see that youth everywhere face similar issues.”
“My coworkers were planning a trip to Bukittinggi. Of course I invited myself to tag along; there is no better way to travel then with the locals! During the road trip, everyone was laughing and joking. The comradeship between colleagues is fun and it’s a different atmosphere compared to Canada. The temperature in Bukittinggi is cooler because of the altitude and it was a nice break from the heat. Some tourist attractions include shopping in market stalls & indoor stores, a clock tower known as “Indonesia’s Big Ben” as well as Japanese tunnels which is more like an underground maze.”
