WHAT IS AIESEC ABOUT? Founded in 1948, AIESEC is a global platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential. We are a non-political, independent, not-for-profit organisation run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education. Its members are interested in world issues, leadership and management. AIESEC does not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion or national/social origin.

We achieve this with the support of our network which comprises:Â

41, 855 members

8, 782 Partner Organizations

1,000,000 alumni

2,400 universities

120+ countries

!MPACT SOUTH AFRICA

AIESEC created !MPACT SOUTH AFRICA with the purpose of making a local impact through international volunteers. This program consists in bringing youth from around the world to work on social impact projects that contribute towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Benefits: Global Perspective Add multi-cultural flavor to your team by bringing in our volunteers who care about world issues, and bring innovative solutions to work locally.

Source with ease Reduce your overhead and administration time as we help source great volunteers from our global network for you. Our local AIESEC members assist in culturally inducting the volunteers as well as facilitating an enjoyable experience for them in the host city.

Create positive impact Enable eager and passionate volunteers to participate in your project to create positive societal impact. Build cross-cultural understanding by facilitating the interaction of volunteers with local communities. As active members in the sport of hydrofoiling we understand the sport and have accumulated a large collection of extreme hydrofoiling media. We are also experts in the creation of all media and materials required for the project including but not limited to web site design, e-commerce and photography. We recommend using our production team to handle the creation of both sites.

WHAT WE DO On September 25th 2015, countries in the UN adopted a set of goals to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda. Each goal has specific targets to be achieved over the next 15 years. The output of this agenda were the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to be achieved by 2030!

By having the youth contribution, AIESEC is compromised to align its projects and experiences to the SDGs. By bringing a young volunteer or a team of volunteers - to an international experience while experimenting practical learning is the way we belive we can develop the best leadership to have a better impact in South Africa. By having this experience we ensure the integration, bureaucracy and training of our volunteers as the best follow up to our partner organizations/NGOs to provide the best experience possible! For the goals to be reached, everyone needs to do their part: governments, the private sector, NGOs, civil society and people like you. We believe that through youth leadership our communities can have a bigger voice and develop a bigger benefit from the world. We belive we can !MPACT SOUTH AFRICA!
