LCP Greetings HOY AIESEC How do you feel? Hope you had an incredible day again, and warming greetings from your President. This is maybe my last greetings to you, I just want to say from the first time I joined AIESEC, I believe on this organisation, and I believe with AIESEC in UNHAS. I believe with on the people inside who want to embrace this world to be better. Maybe, one of our vision to bring peace is really fluffy. Just imagine a group of young people has a vision who want to bring peace in this world. But actually we believe it, we believe with our vision that’s why even though maybe it is impossible but we have reliance for acvhieving it. Maybe some of people outside this organisation said we are too AIESEC, you already trapping on this bubble. But the actually is, we are not trapping on this bubble, but because we have same purpose. That’s why we are right now until this step. The last word that I want to say, this words is really impacting my journey in AIESEC since probation and I really believe on this word "if you feel like quitting, just think about why you started“ Muhammad Wahyu Santoso Local Committee President of AIESEC in Universitas Hasanuddin

The most memorable sessions for him was bookleting and convote. He was fast paced since he had to spoke in front of all the members, explained his strategies, questioned by the alumnus. It was super challenging for him. AIESEC also gave big contribution to him. Starting from beyond expectation's personal development, precious experiences, and memorable moments. YOUTH SPEAK FORUM

AIESEC IN UNHAS | EVENT

YSF or Youth Speak Forum has been held on November 10th, 2018 in Nipah Mall Makassar. Rizki Adiputra as Youth Speak Forum 2018's OCP said that he's grateful because the event could went well as planned. The venue changed was also beyond committee's surmise, since the first place where YSF would be held was Fave Hotel but that time Kalla Youth Festival fortunately called YSF to collaborate because both YSF and KYF were having same vision and mission. He took the chance with big hope that AIESEC in Universitas Hasanuddin could gain new partner through this opportunity. After all he was satisfied with the event such as the colloquium and workshop which was in line with his expectation, even though there are a little bit technical error but it wasn't a big matter. For the audience itself, there are 130 people who registered and 60 delegates who came and took part in the YSF. The national target for YSF was actually 150 heads, but it was okay because quality is the main priority although they didn't reach the number. The most memorable part from YSF was the preparation and pre-event, because all the committees and AIESECers worked together to made this YSF happened. Starting from installed the banner, moved the table, prepared the seminar kits, and many more. Therefore, he's very thankful for all the people who took big part to succeed this Youth Speak Forum.

AIESEC IN UNHAS |

EVENT

Meet Iswanto Nursila, MYLC 7.0 CCP. Makassar Youth Leadership Conference (MYLC) has been held on October 26th-28th, 2018 in Whizz Prime Hotel Hasanuddin. He said, he felt so happy and proud because MYLC 7.0's CC Team already gave and did their best to make this conference happened. It was really meaningful for him that the AIESECer could spent 3 days together, where we really got to know each other, supporting one another, and learn much things together to achieve our goals. For the expectation reachment itself, he got to say yes and no. It's a yes for CC Team preparation, because they already made MYLC 7.0 different than before. From the venue until delegates service, it was all way different. But sadly, it's a no for their delegates target, it wasn't going as what they expected since the number of delegates were only 25. Talking about the chair, it was handled by LCP and LCVP TM. He said, it was only two of them who knows the reason why the chair got invited, but it was really memorable one. He left a message for MYLC 8.0 team to do their best, have a good sinergy with each other, and being responsible to achieve goals together. Also, make MYLC still hype for the members. 8

MEET Nadiyah Afifah

AIESEC IN UNHAS | STORY

From November 2017, I became an intern in Oxford Public School, one of private school located in Murar Khera (a rural area in Northern part of India). In the school, I taught students from areas nearby the school. Most of them were farmers’ children. It was not rare to find students carrying broken bags, tore apart note book, small pencil, and dirty school uniform. I knew how hard the school asked parents to pay the fees. Sometimes, my salary also delayed because the parents haven’t paid their children's school fees. At my first day of teaching, I didn’t get my teaching schedule directly. I waited in the school’s waiting room with my two friends, Gio and Tria, Manpreet, and two friends from AIESEC Indonesia. It was so cool that AIESEC Indonesia team were there to check my working place and talked to my boss. AIESEC as an international organization works very well to make sure their interns having good experiences. I waited from 9 AM until 3 PM and only got one thing to do, which was teaching simulation for 15 minutes. I barely got my schedule after I passed my adjustment classes for a week. I entered some classes to teach random subjects. Personally, I wasn't that comfortable because I didn’t want to enter classes and teach without preparing myself. But what can I say, it was school’s policy for foreign interns. Beside my uncomfortable feeling, adjustment classes helped me a lot to know student’s characteristic, class management strategy, also getting to know students and other teachers better. Other teachers were so kind, they even offered some help for me to manage the classroom. I got new teacher friends because of this. New breaktrough every single day! Overall, I can say that I do agree with Marissa Meyer about doing something we are not ready to. At first, it felt so scary and my inferiority felt like consuming myself. When you embrace yourself to do those things, you have a breaktrough. My journey this far in India teach me how to be brave, and how to embrace myself to have breaktrough. New breaktrough in every single moment.

AIESEC IN UNHAS | STORY

Wira Hello, earthlings! My name is Wirahadi Kusuma, and I'm an accounting student of UMI batch 2016. Now, you'll going to know more about me and my journey in AIESEC. Talking about ups and downs, it must be happened to all of us. So do I, I also have my own. First of all, AIESEC is a really different organization. It has coherent standard and rules, and all of the structure are crystal clear. What makes me fall in love with AIESEC are nothing else but the members and projects. Here, I feel that there are no border between all the members. Also from every projects held by AIESEC, I really feel that I could be useful and giving impacts for the community as a youth and student. AIESEC also develop personality, leadership, and relations like a professional. I sometimes feel down when I meet obstacles since it's not easy when you only got 24 hours in a day and it seems not enough. AIESEC do really takes a lot of time, but from here I could learn how to balancing my time for education and AIESEC itself. The most memorable experiences I already been through in AIESEC are countless, but I will tell you some. It was during my first semester break, I knew about AIESEC. The project was held in Bulukumba and I dared myself to join the volunteer. My decision was right, I met AIESECers who taught me a lot of things, learning things I never knew before, and when the members recruitment was opened they encouraged me to be part of AIESEC officially. It was how I could stand here now. Also, Summer 2017 will never gone from my memory. That time, 120 youths from different countries came to Makassar for Aga Kareba. Our project was prepared for 2 months, with only 9 committees and 2 local volunteer. It was precious experience for me to adventuring around Sulawesi Selatan, from Soppeng, Takalar, Toraja, Gowa, Bantaeng, Bulukumba, and more. We explored about the tourism, local products, cultures, and all of them was funded by the government. I was really grateful, I gained valuable experiences and new family from AIESEC.

I bet all of you might be able to know the reason why I'm still walking in this path. I really want to give something and contribute for this home, to make AIESEC grow bigger and give bigger impacts for the community through every youths. For every AIESECers, never stop to growing with AIESEC. I believe, AIESEC is the right place where we can develop ourselves and progressing together.

But it does not only about promote, we have to educate the new generation how to love our tourism, and also our culture because they will be our successor. ISNAYANTI ISMAIL

Hello, my name is Isnayanti Ismail and I currently go to Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar majoring in physics batch 2016. In this meaningful opportunity, I'll tell you briefly about my journey! In the early 2018, I decided to join AIESEC. There are plenty memorable things happening since the start of my journey in AIESEC, started from applying just at last second of the registration closed, obstacles to attend all the acceptance sessions that I already thought to stop and not going furthermore. But then, when I became a probation that all the struggles I've been through was something that shaped me into a better version of me. The first role I got was brand creative staff in BRIM, and should I say that there are so much ups and downs in my journey. One of them was when I met new faces, at that kind of time I felt insecure but now I can gain more confidence. For the up itself is I could meet inspiring people in AIESEC which help me to be a more open minded, creative, and critical person. Also, the things that makes me still walking and continue my journey are keeping myself stay low. I don't want to be easily satisfied with something I've fight for in roller coaster situations, and in other side I still would like to keep learning in AIESEC with people who could help me to become a more responsible and better Isnayanti.

Hello everyone! My name is Atikah Azyati, and I'm a psychology student of Universitas Negeri Makassar batch 2017. In AIESEC, I gain so many friends from different universities, my skills improved, and also I'm growing with much experiences which i never got before. Although there are times where i barely adjusting my time between course schedule and AIESEC, but with this my self time management is getting better. I once have been an OCVP Finance ICF Summer 2018. For handling event with small number of committees and limited time, it was surely not an easy thing. But with this, i can learn how to work under pressure and work as a team so it was worth the lessons! The reason why I stay in AIESEC until this second is because I still have to learn and develop myself more. In AIESEC, I got family, experiences, and lessons which are very precious to me. And I just can't get enough of it!
