Hey There! Approximately a year ago I was opening a similar document to this one, I was daring to go beyond and make an impact, I knew all the things I wanted to change on my entity and I dared to go for it. I understand how you might be feeling now, full of doubts, fear and excitement, all at the same time. If you opened this document is because you’re one of the brave ones. Being MC of AIESEC in Venezuela is far from being an easy task, it’s going to be a challenging year, if not the hardest one, but I promise it will be worth it. I’ve said before “We’re carrying Venezuela in our shoulders” but because I believe it’s the best way to describe the feeling we have while applying to this kind of positions. At this point, I congratulate you, because you’re daring to bet on Venezuela and challenging yourself to go on a journey of self development. At this moment is all about you, is about what you want to gain for yourself, who you are what you have to offer to AIESEC in Venezuela, and mostly what you are willing to give for this country. The application package will be received until May 30th at 11:59pm (GMT -4). For the Specific Questionnaire, choose and answer 1 question from each block and answer 2 additional questions for your block of preference based on the area of knowledge you would like be more interested in. About Venezuela


Venezuela The jewel of the Caribbean Venezuela is a beautiful land located in South America, between Colombia and Brazil and in front of the Caribbean Sea. You will always have a plan: maybe go to "playita" or have some “frias" (beers) with your MC co-workers. Words like: arepa, cuatro & maraca, rumba, pabellón, and ratón will be part of your vocabulary. Currently Venezuela is facing so many challenges (politics, social and economics) for this reason, every member of AIESEC in Venezuela has a clear goal in their AIESEC journey: to shape and change Venezuela for the better, for the benefit of each one of it’s habitants and to motivate and inspire others to take actions for a better tomorrow from wherever they stand.

It is also for this reason that we need leaders like yourself to give a bit of your passion and soul into making a better Venezuela and a better world possible. Our country will surprise you from beginning to end, from random show of affection from strangers when you least expect it, to gazing at breathtaking scenarios worthy of being in a postcard. We invite you to take write the story of a lifetime for this term 2017-2018.


Venezuela has great contrasts that can be shocking. A cultural tradition marked by the authenticity of Venezuelans which seduces visitors, along with a difficult social reality. Venezuela is the country where free- dom of the Latin American people was forged: Cradle of liberators and talent that has reached every corner of the earth. We are famous for the beauty of our women, greatest landscapes and the joy of Venezuelans. To discover Venezuela is definitely a challenge: an adventure where you can prove that everything is possible. Living Venezuela is finding the best of every single thing.

About AIESEC for Venezuela


About the MC Life The MC office is located in Caracas, at the Metropolitan University. It is considered one of the top Universities in Venezuela. At the office, you have access to a scanner, phone, computer (there are few computers, you must bring your own for daily work), wireless internet access, server, and printer. We don’t have an MC Flat, accommodation only will be provided for the internationals. The MC term starts in August and goes on until the end of July. However, the virtual transition starts once you get elected. The MC benefits also include: • National Conferences and Mandatory Coaching are covered. • Unlimited access to Exchanges Forms. • Training and educational spaces in top organizations for improve professional profile. The MC Salary currently is the minimum and according to our cash flow it is reviewed once per Q according to some external factors. We do not cover transportation fees for internationals or international conferences.


Our National Reality and the stories of our 400+ members AIESEC in Venezuela goes way back to 1958. We were the first country in South America to become part of the AIESEC Network along with Colombia. Since then hundreds of young leaders have shaped our organization in Venezuela. Due to harsh condition each and every member of AIESEC is fully committed to our goal: to make an impact in the world. We are one of the fastest growing entities in the region, making highlights for oGV and oGT constantly. We are willing to work hard to achieve, and although sometimes it may seem that our environment in against us we just say: A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor.

Internationally those that have believed in us Due to our country’s role in the region, for both periods 15.16 and 16.17 we received regional visits from OSTs. This was the results of more than 400 members working together to achieve and grow like never before. We will strive to continue being relevant in the AIESEC Network.

Organizational Growth 1. Which do you consider are improvement points for the role of OD in AIESEC in Venezuela in the MC and in the LC network? Provide an analysis of Venezuela’s performance in 15.16 and 16.17 as key inputs for culture shaping. 2. How will you take further the OD model of AIESEC in Venezuela? What are the things that need to be done in order to ensure all LCs grow sustainably? 3. What are your strategies for each cluster to increase their overall performance and jump to the next Cluster? Bring clear 3 strategies for each cluster and the outcome of every strategy. 4. Please elaborate on the current status of Information Management (IM) within AIESEC in Venezuela in terms of Information Technology, Internal Communications and Knowledge Management. What should be the next term’s focuses within this area and how would they provide strategic growth for the organization. 5. Analyze the current LCP network management in strengths and weaknesses. How do you see the Network Management of LCP network improving for the next term ? Bring 3 challenges that LCPs face and solutions for them.


Operations 1. Analyze the performance of the last 3 years of exchange results of AIESEC in Venezuela (2013-2016). Point out strong points/weak points and strategies used or proposed by you to solve different situations. 2. What is the most effective way to implement national strategies through a network that is so diverse, in terms of performance and local realities? What are the main evolutions that you propose for the management of the national network? Take into consideration each and every MCVP’s Network. 3. Keeping in mind our current reality, which would be EYPs of your choice for each product and why? Make sure this is framed within the overall IR strategy of AIESEC in Venezuela. 4. Please assess MC’s main implementation touch points, both physically and virtually. What would you stop, start, and continue doing? 5. Taking a look at our exchange products, what are 3 main evolutions that each product (GT and GE separately) should have for 17-18 term in order to boost results?


Brand, Positioning and Customer Experience 1. Taking into considerations the Customer Flow, please establish clear strategies, KPIs, goals and activities for each stage of the Customer Flow for OGX and ICX. 2. Please assess the current status of Digital Marketing of AIESEC in Venezuela (for both OGX and ICX), provide a clear direction with objectives and strategies for 17.18 and main risk points. 3. Provide an analysis of the current status of the AIESEC in Venezuela organizational brand, and each of our subsidiary brands. Define a clear improvement plan, with well-defined and justified priorities. 4. What are the 3 biggest challenges into managing operations nationally? What will be 3 management practices of CX to manage Operations at its best, ensuring end-to-end product delivery for our customers? 5. How do you envision the local and national MKT-Operations synergy for 17.18? Please explain in detail your view and how would you make it happen.


Sustainability and Financial Management 1. Mention which are the 3 priorities you consider should be a focus for the next term on the financial area. Please include KPI’s for each and main activities you will develop for each priority. 2. What are the main risks and potential crisis that might affect AIESEC in Venezuela in the near future? How would you avoid or minimize the impact of them on the organization? 3. What should be the next steps of the National Audit System for 17.18? How would you ensure it is fully implemented and embedded into daily network operations? 4. Analyze the financial reality and establish minimum financial goals for two LCs of your choice of different clusters for Q3 2017. Advice: Contact VPs F&L and LCPs to get deep financial insight of their realities. 5. Please assess the current status of the Financial Culture and Education of AIESEC in Venezuela, locally and nationally. How should it evolve for the next term in order to ensure the entity’s sustainability and growth?


Strategic Partnership and Portfolio Evolution 1. Imagine in 17.18 you have the opportunity to develop a strategy to engage and develop business partnerships. How would your strategies look like to achieve short-term budget goals (17.18) and long-term ones (until 2020)? 2. Within the PD Team exist two parts: Business Development (BD) focused on financial partnerships and Public Relations (PR) focused on institutional partnerships. Please provide the main direction you’d set for each part and how would you balance them. 3. How does AIESEC in Venezuela as a whole organization has to evolve in order to develop meaningful national partnerships that contribute to national growth? 4. As part of the PD team which organizations or companies would be your pick for partnership with AIESEC in Venezuela. Explain. How would these organizations boost youth leadership and operations. 5. If you could built a portfolio to showcase the AIESEC experience for enablers, which products would you offer, please explain the benefit , KPIs and goals for each one.


Talent Management, Productivity and Education 1.

How will you make sure that every member of AIESEC in Venezuela is experiencing leadership development in the organization? (Make sure you refer to the LDM when you answer this question)
