, Recently, McAfee announced the completion of its previously announced acquisition of Skyhigh Networks.

With the close of this deal, Skyhigh Networks becomes part of the McAfee Cloud Security Business Unit.

Skyhigh is an ideal complement to McAfee’s strategy – one focused on building and optimizing mission-critical cybersecurity environments for the future. Skyhigh Networks pioneered the cloud access security broker (CASB) market segment that analysts describe as one of the fastest growing areas of information security investments of the last five years. Security professionals know the importance of the cloud, but need a way to ensure their networks, workloads and data are all protected. McAfee solutions help in the following ways:

Visibility into the Cloud: McAfee cloud security solutions help organizations identify where their critical resources reside in the cloud.

Skyhigh identifies sensitive information using keywords, data patterns, fingerprints, metadata, and file types – and analyses behaviour across all cloud services, users, and devices. McAfee CWS monitors cloud workload configuration profiles, prevents advanced threats with machine learning, and applies application whitelisting to automatically enforce workload compliance policies. In parallel, McAfee vNSP provides the opportunity to visualize threat sources within log flows, and uses sandboxing, dynamic behavioural analysis, and machine learning to stop threats from traversing the network.

Skyhigh detects unusual behaviour indicative of an insider threat, compromised account, or privileged user threat.

Data Protection: Skyhigh helps identify and control access to sensitive information already in, moving to, or originating in the cloud. Administrators can consistently enforce sharing permissions within applications, manage access controls across multiple environments, restrict the ability to download sensitive data to unmanaged devices – controlling the potential for oversharing information – and protect both structured and unstructured data with information rights management and encryption.

Please give us a brief overview of your company, your clients and the services you offer?

Allied Wallet is financial technology that specialises in e-commerce, vigilant transactions, cyber-security and fraud preventions for online activities where the card is non-present.

detects any legal transactions, so if you buy something on a website, the system adds all the figures together and makes sure that they match. That is what you call state-of-the art cyber security, integrating innovation and efficiency into every aspect of our work.

Are there any recent developments that you would particularly like to focus on?

We have recently put out the Next Gen Payment Gateway platform, and added an artificial intelligence system, which nobody has today for credit card transactions. What it does, is to that it is constantly scanning and recognising any illegal activities or transactions which are not supposed to happen online.

It comes through a negative database, email addresses, phone numbers, first and last names, jurisdiction, countries where the website it registered.

Working within the fast paced and ever evolving technology industry, what techniques do you employ to stay ahead of emerging developments? In terms of the new product we have recently launched, we are way ahead of the game. Added to that, we have launched the Allied Wallet debit card programme, which will benefit students. Many exchange students who move into a country for example would like to have a plastic card in their card, so their family can put money in their account. We came up with this programme two months ago, and we already have two million consumers - but this will increase to 10million by the end of this year.

What differentiates your firm from your competitors and marks you out as the best possible option for your clients?

Put it this way, we are 20 years ahead of anybody else, that nobody else in the market has today. It would take anybody else many years to build an artificial intelligence system close to ours. That is what you call the most advanced technology in the world today, which thinks like a human but is 300 billion times faster than Einstein himself. It

Please give me a brief overview of the technology industry in your state currently. Are there any specific challenges or outside influences affecting it and how is your firm adapting around these?

It is very friendly here because we treat everybody as a family member because we take care of people. Also, we are not like the average bank, where if you make one mistake you will be put out of business. Instead, we step

in to guide you and help you to be more successful. The more successful your business is, the more we can be successful with you. It is therefore very important for Allied Wallet to work with our merchants, resellers and consumers to educate them and teach them how to improve the business, as well as how to stay safe online.

Also, I believe that human communication is very important, as opposed to the same via electronic means. If you call PayPal or other similar companies out there, you will speak to a robotic system and you will be guided to leave them a message or to email them for technical support. You never speak to a human, who is able to give warm and friendly customer support, so that is why we are ahead of the game. We have that old-school mentality, by taking care of our merchants and consumers in this way.

To end this insightful interview, what does the future hold for your firm? Do you have any future plans or projects you would like to share with us?

If you want to remain successful, and if you want to be on top, always ensure that your team is happy and is a part of everything you do. They do a lot of the lifting, which is true, and they will lift you all the way to the top if you work with them and accommodate them. Nobody can get to the top without their team, because it is not a one man show.

The Power of Brand Identity Rebel River Creative is an inventive, established agency with an environment which allows imagination to flow. Allyn Hulteng gives us an overview of what the company does to help companies with their brands.

Variations in the colour, texture and font structure appeared in collateral, vehicle wraps, and the stationery package. The website was woefully dated, cluttered with a hodgepodge of taglines and graphic elements.

“Digging a little deeper, I asked the owner what was it that made him think he needed a new logo. He stated that he was aiming to attract a higher calibre of commercial clients, and he wanted a logo which would reflect this shift.

However, I realised that what the client really needed was a brand makeover.”

Rebel River Creative is a full-service marketing, creative and visual arts studio, based in Montana.

Within the company is a highlyexperienced team of strategists, designers, writers and visual artists collaborating with clients to create powerful brands that deliver extraordinary results. Allyn takes time to tell us a bit about the background of the company.

“Interestingly, our back story is a bit unusual. The four founding partners worked for big media corporations for years. “Recently, the general manager of an established commercial construction firm approached me saying he wanted to refresh the company logo. The company had been in business for nearly 30 years and enjoys a solid reputation. The GM emphasised he just wanted to modernise the logo a little bit, and he did not want anything too different.

“The conversation led to an exploration of all of the company’s brand assets. Not surprisingly, the logo had been tweaked more than a few times over the years.

It’s Not the Logo Brands are more than just the logo, and Allyn is keen to tell us about the importance of the whole brand, citing it as a crucial aspect of every company’s success.

“For all companies, brands are valuable assets. More than a symbol of identity, your brand is the entire sum of what someone thinks when he or she hears your company name.

“Apple is a brand. So is Walmart.

When it comes to defining your brand, it is okay to be the high price provider. It’s equally okay to be the low-price provider. What is not okay is trying to be everything to everyone, that’s brand confusion.

“Essentially, our contractor client started as a two-person shop that focused on small commercial projects. Thirty years later, the company had grown significantly in size and scope but they

struggled to win the big jobs. It wasn’t a problem with their work, existing clients brought multiple projects. The problem was rooted in their brand identity.”

In her concluding comments, Allyn noted that as a company grows or changes, it is imperative that the brand identity is in alignment.

Sometimes that means starting again.

Back to Basics “Ultimately, the value of a brand is its effect on consumer behaviour.

A willingness to pay more for a product or resistance to negative news indicates brand loyalty.

Key to generating loyalty is to deliver the experience your brand promises. Every. Single. Time.

“The first step, however, is to clearly and consistently communicate to the customer what he or she can expect from your brand. This is where our contractor client took a giant misstep. Through a brand audit, we determined that although the contractor had made a strategic business decision to reach into new markets, the brands promise did not communicate this shift.

Moreover, multiple iterations of logos, taglines and graphics further diluted the strength of the brand.

“Our client was right, he did need a new logo. But first he needed to build a bedrock brand strategy that informs and directs every aspect of his marketing strategy. Rolling up our sleeves we went to work.”
