Rosetta Solutions .epub Files Now Available Seattle, WA, January 2, 2007 – Rosetta Solutions, Inc., a leading global publishing services company, today announced full compliance with the International Digital Publishing Forum’s (IDPF) .epub format standard for digital books. Using .epub allows publishers to produce and send a single file through distribution and offers consumers interoperability between software/hardware for digital books. Using Rosetta Solutions’ patent pending RosettaMachine technology, publishers can convert a single master file to multiple digital and print-ready formats accompanied by industry-standard metadata. “Rosetta Solutions is a long-time and active supporter of the standards process for digital content,” remarked Ted Treanor, CEO of Rosetta Solutions, Inc. “We felt it was critical to fully implement this standard as quickly as possible, and are delighted to deliver to our customers OPS/OCF-compliant files converted by RosettaMachine for mobile devices, reading platforms or reading devices.” Ted went on to say, “The IDPF leadership organization and its dedicated members provide a tremendous service to the marketplace by improving the customer experience and furthering the adoption of digital content. The file extension ".epub" refers to two open standards, the Open Publication Structure (OPS) and Open Container Format (OCF), produced by the IDPF.
