These industries account for 2.3 billion of euros in sales and export 1.1 billion euros. Furniture, wood panels, construction materials (doors and floors) pine and eucalyptus wood, in roundwood and sawn, are the main agents for achieving these remarkable values. As part of the forest transformation cycle, which is responsible in Portugal for about 4% of national GDP, 11% of industrial GDP, 9% of industrial employment and 10% of national exports, the Wood and Furniture Industries sector is of paramont importance in Portugal socioeconomics.

Inter Wood & Furniture is a structured intervention program that supports companies interested in developing internationalization strategies in order to expand into new growing markets.
