KELVIN

The unit for the color temperature of white light (K). The lower the value, the warmer the light. General lighting is approx. 2700 - 4000 K.

LUMEN

Luminous flux, or lumen (lm), tells how much light the lamp produces. The bi er the numerical value, the brighter the lamp.

WATT

Lamp power (W). The numerical value indicates how much electricity the lamp consumes. LEDs consume very little energy!

DIM

The Dim symbol indicates whether the lamp's luminous flux can be dimmed with a suitable dimmer. LED dimmer for LED lamps.

CANDELA

Illumination intensity of spot lamps. The numerical value (cd) indicates the amount of luminous flux of the lamp in an area of a square meter from a distance of 1 m.

Airam LEDs will be named!

Our traditional Oiva lamp series is getting siblings. Nicknames are not only a way to distinguish products from each other, but also a way to create attractive campaigns.

The name change applies to our lamps suitable for general lighting, which were previously known as Airam LEDs. Nothing else in the already familiar products will change - even the product codes of the lamps will remain unchanged.

• Onni LEDs are warm white in color temperature, 2700 K.

• Oiva LEDs are white, 3000 K.

• Otso LEDs are clear white, 4000 K.

The lamps are suitable for general home lighting. The names will start to appear on the packaging during 2023.

The packaging of Oiva lamps has previously been orange. With the packaging reform, the orange color is removed and, in the future, the look of Oiva packaging will better follow the uniform look of Airam’s LED lamp packaging.

The background of the lamp package reform is the so-called Dream Shelf Concept. We have recognized the challenges of consumers in finding the right lamp from the wide LED selection.

Our Dream Shelf guides you to do the essential decisions first:

1. What colour temperature is wanted (Kelvin, K)

2. How strong light is needed (lumen, lm)

These elements are also emphasized in the new lamp packages. The message on both the packaging and the in-store materials guide you to the appropriate product, making the choice easier.

The lamps initially light up at full power. If the light switch has been turned OFF and back ON within three seconds, the level can be adjusted in steps. Radar sensor

Motion detector lamps with a built-in microwave sensor and wide detection range. When motion is detected, the lamp turns on for 45 seconds at first. If no further movement is detected, the lamp will remain on for 15 seconds at 50% intensity before turning off. Lamps with class A energy efficiency

A selection of various energy efficient class A lamps with a clear bulb. The Ecodesign Directive, which entered into force in September 2021, introduced new energy labels for electrical equipment. The energy efficiency labels were returned to a range of A to G, while the old A+ classes were discarded. The directive challenges manufacturers to develop better and more energyefficient products. As a part of this development, Airam launches new lamps that meet the requirements of the new directive’s energy efficiency class A. More energyefficient products also allow consumers to save electricity. Energy efficiency also makes the product itself more environmentally friendly, supporting the transition to more sustainable consumption habits. Plug-in socket lamps are common in work and ceiling luminaires, for example. A magnetic ballast forms a magnetic field in the fluorescent tube’s iron core which, when discharged, generates a high voltage and turns on the lamp. Halogen G9 230V

Halogen burner multi-packs

G9 230V halogens are particularly popular in retro-style downlights and ceiling lights. Halogens offer good ambient heat resistance and dimmability. The bulbs are packed in sturdy blister packs where the bulb is clearly visible. Old incandescent bulb dimmers may be used for dimming.

Incandescent and halogen lamps are so far superior in terms of technical characteristics in very hot operating environments. A novelty lamp suitable for ovens lasts even + 300 °C temperature. Small dome G9 base oven-halogen lamp is suitable for devices where good heat resistance is required from the light source. Also suitable as a refrigerator lamp.
