Shin Hyo Sup or popularly known as ‘Shingun’ is a young and upcoming Korean star chef. His popularity amongst the Korean youths and young housewives has earned him the nickname “Kkotminam” (Cute Boy like a Flower). Shingun the food stylist; is a chef, cooking master and a famous media personality in Korea. Creative and dynamic, Shingun is renowned for coming up with traditional Korean dishes with a modern twist.
Chicken and Kimchi Duruchigi (Stir-fry with Chicken and Kimchi) INGREDIENTS
• Chicken 200g • Salt Pinch • Pepper Pinch • Red pepper powder 1T • Crushed garlic 5g • Red Pepper Paste 1T • Oyster Sauce 1T • Corn Syrup 1T • Onion Slice 1/2 • Carrot 30g • Sesame Leaf 20g • Cabbage 70g • Cabbage Kimchi (fermented) 100g • Sliced radish Kimchi (fermented) 40g 1 Marinate chicken with salt, pepper and sauce made from red pepper paste, crushed garlic, red pepper powder, oyster sauce, and corn syrup. Keep the chicken for a day. 2 Heat oil in frying pan and stir in marinated chicken. Add kimchi (cabbage and radish). 3 In a separate pan, stir fry onions, carrots and cabbage. Add the chicken and kimchi and stir fry all the ingredients until the chicken is cooked. 4 Turn off heat and stir in sesame leaves, then pour onto steamed rice.
