From the President & CEO Since opening our doors nearly 40 years ago, the Air Zoo has made remarkable strides in educating and inspiring guests of all ages by providing the coolest aviation and space experiences around. What remains, however, is a critical need to do more… to expand on our proven successes and develop new and innovative initiatives… now. Over the past several years, we’ve successfully met goals and gained both the confidence and momentum needed to build upon those accomplishments and springboard us into action. Through our educational exhibits, community outreach programs, and handson science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) public programming, we expect to inspire over 165,000 people again this year, and our highly-targeted, multimedia campaigns are bringing science to life in more classrooms, community rooms, and living rooms than ever before. While the Air Zoo’s reach continually expands towards Grand Rapids, Detroit, Chicago, and even the moon, the impact in our local community continues to be broad and deep. We live in a world, a country, a state, and a community where the need to excite and ignite minds, young and old, in order to build the next-generation technical workforce has reached critical levels. Over the next two decades, local companies are forecasting the need for thousands of additional technical workers that will go largely unfilled if we do not work together to find solutions. As a result, the Air Zoo must continue to become bolder and more robust with our exhibits, programs, and services. We must expand our impact in order to help develop the education/workforce pipeline that will ensure a thriving community for generations to come. These are critical priorities in our strategic plan, and we can’t wait. And so we are thrilled to provide our 2018-19 Education Program Guide to our community. Through our exciting, hands-on, inquiry-based STEAM programs, we want to help our schools, teachers, parents, libraries, and community organizations inspire and educate our youth and show them the pathways to remarkable careers. We want to give every student the chance to fall in love with science, technology, engineering, art, and math with their hands, with their minds, and with their hearts, and we want to show them that a wonderful future awaits if they continue to work hard in pursuit of these passions. Introduction The Air Zoo is one of the nation’s premier, hands-on, indoor aerospace and science education centers. Housing one of the largest collections of rare aircraft, spacecraft, and science, military, and aerospace artifacts in the U.S., the Air Zoo combines interactive and educational experiences with oncein-a-lifetime activities, including hands-on exhibits, full-motion flight simulators, and a state-of-the-art movie theater. The Air Zoo’s educational programs are designed to fulfill Common Core requirements, including Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and all programs are developed by the Air Zoo’s MDEcertified teachers. Educators who have experienced the Air Zoo’s unique, hands-on approach to learning find that whether they travel with their students to the Air Zoo or host our educators at their home location, our innovative programs engage students and inspire them to further explore the world of science and the careers that await them.

Education Overview The Air Zoo’s world-class, MDE-certified education team focuses on creating affordable and interactive educational programs that not only fulfill multiple educational standards, but also stimulate and engage each student, inspiring learners to continue their personal exploration of science long after the program’s conclusion. All Air Zoo education programs are developed by MDE-certified teachers who utilize a unique approach of combining dynamic lesson plans and hands-on activities with once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Designed to fulfill Common Core requirements, including Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), the Air Zoo’s programs strive to encourage a student’s innate curiosity while instilling the fundamental scientific, technological, engineering, artistic, and mathematical (STEAM) tools needed for success in tomorrow's world. The Air Zoo’s education team can also bring these amazing programs to your community. Our educators can travel to your location and conduct the same interactive, fun, and engaging programs normally offered on-site at the Air Zoo. This option is a fun and exciting way to supplement current lessons, or can be used as a reward to motivate students toward an important goal. With financial assistance available through the Air Zoo’s Science Inspiration Scholarship Fund, the world of STEAM education is now accessible to more children, regardless of socioeconomic status. Planning Your Visit Schedule Your Visit Please contact the Air Zoo Group & Event Sales team at (269) 350-2848, or at Events@AirZoo.org, for reservations. Your reservation is finalized when you receive an official visit confirmation with your group’s itinerary and visit details. Please contact your Air Zoo Event Coordinator one week prior to your group’s visit to provide your final estimated attendance numbers of both students and adults in order for us to best facilitate your group’s visit.

Chaperones We encourage school groups to have chaperones attend at a ratio of 1 per 5 for PreK, and 1 per 10 for K-12 students. For school field trips, when admissions are paid in a single transaction on behalf of the entire group, one (1) adult will receive a complimentary admission with every ten (10) student admissions. The Air Zoo does not differentiate between teachers, parents, etc., but will provide your group with one free adult admission at the ratio of one (1) for every ten (10) students. Additional adults beyond this ratio will be eligible for a special chaperone admission rate.

Payments / Refunds Fees for a field trip are due upon arrival of your group at the Air Zoo. Payments with cash, credit/debit cards (including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express), and checks are accepted. It is common for field trips to arrive with pre-printed checks for the amount of estimated costs calculated based on anticipated attendance. Frequently, attendance may differ from anticipated numbers due to student illness, etc. In the event a pre-printed check is in excess of the amount due at arrival, a refund check for the overage will be mailed. Please allow two weeks for refund processing. No refunds or cancellations are possible for pre-arranged catered food service charges on the day of your visit.

Accessibility The Air Zoo strives to offer quality experiences to every individual, of every ability level. Our facilities are wheelchair accessible and designed to accommodate all patrons. A limited number of wheelchairs are available for use within our facilities. If your group has acessiblity needs, please ask your Air Zoo Event Coordinator what special arrangements might be available to ensure the best possible visit for your group.

Arrivals We appreciate your help with ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in process upon arrival at the Air Zoo. Please provide the actual number of students attending with your group upon arrival and, if possible, the number of adults. For groups arriving by bus(es) during the school week (M-F), please utilize the circular drive in front of the Air Zoo’s Flight Innovation Center, and stop in our group unloading zone directly in front of the main lobby entrances. We request your group remain on the bus until your Air Zoo Event Coordinator greets you and assist with bringing your group into the facility. Multiple groups often arrive at the same time, or very close together, and you’ll begin your Air Zoo adventure much faster if you allow our staff to guide you through the arrival process. For large groups, portions of your group may be brought in at separate times in order to accelerate the check-in process. If your visit itinerary has your group split into multiple “crews”, these sub-groups may be brought in individually and started on their scheduled activities. To facilitate this process, it is helpful if your students and adults are aware of their “crew” designations (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, etc.) prior to arrival.

Late Arrivals The Air Zoo attempts to accommodate late groups with planned activities. Because museum resources may be serving multiple groups on the day of your visit, groups arriving later than their scheduled arrival time may not be able to participate in all scheduled activities. Visit schedules will be adjusted to include as much of the planned activities as possible, but commitments to other groups may require the omission of some activities in the event of a late arrival.

Cancellations The Air Zoo understands that cancellations will occur due to weather, transportation issues, etc. In the event of a cancellation, please contact the Air Zoo ASAP if your group will be unable to attend a scheduled field trip or event. Because the Air Zoo is in high demand, this may allow another group to visit during the scheduled time. When a cancellation occurs, we will gladly work with you to schedule a visit at an alternate date and/or time. For cancellations with less than 72 hours notice, any pre-arranged catering or food service charges will be cancelled only at the discretion of the Air Zoo.

Lunch/Meals Meals are available at the Kitty Hawk Café, located within the Air Zoo. Specially priced meals are available when arranged in advance of your visit, and vegetarian and other special dietary requests may be available. The Air Zoo also allows groups to bring in sack lunches for students during a school field trip. No refrigeration is available for sack lunches. Seating space in our café is limited for lunches, and groups wishing to enjoy a lunch during their field trip will receive an itinerary that includes a designated time and location for seating accommodations. The Air Zoo strives to accommodate the needs of all groups.

Parking The Air Zoo has a large parking lot with free parking available for passenger vehicles and large parking spaces designated for buses, transit vans and motor coaches.

Fantastic Flying

PreK - K Discover how people learned to fly by studying birds and experimenting with kites, gliders, and planes! Young aviators explore the forces of flight, compare the shapes and structures of a bird’s body with an airplane, and learn about basic aircraft construction while making their own take-home flying machines. This highly-interactive program provides students with a strong, introductory knowledge of aviation principles and inspires them to learn more!

Ocean Kids

PreK - K Students “dive” into the ocean using realistic puppets, ocean-themed music, and dramatic play to experience the diversity of animal species below the waves. Fish, sharks, sea turtles, dolphins, rays, and more will come to life in this wild ocean environment. Young oceanographers will take home their own unique octopus puppet.

Weather Explorers

PreK - K Children encounter air pressure at work with a large, puppet version of “The Cat in the Hat”, and explore the questions, “What is weather? And why is it important to us?” Kids learn about and utilize the vocabulary of weather, view instruments used to measure our changing atmosphere, and create tools to measure wind direction in this wacky weather workshop.

Astronauts

K - 2nd Grade Astronauts are living in space! Join us for an astronaut challenge as students learn about the special tools and equipment used aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Young explorers end the class by designing their own space suits to take home!

High Flying Fun

Ocean Odyssey

K - 2nd Grade Examine marine ecosystems, including coral reefs and the deep sea, and learn about the inhabitants that call them “home”. Using realistic marine puppets, children visualize and experience the biodiversity and adaptations of these unique ocean animals. Ocean-themed music will get the kids moving as they conclude the class with an oceanic craft project.

Primary STEAM Engineering

K - 2nd Grade

Jump into the story of "The Three Billy Goats Gruff", then design and build a bridge to protect the goats from the troll. Using the engineering design process, young engineers will work in teams to test and then re-engineer their creations.

Magnet Busters

1st - 3rd Grade Explore the wonders of working with magnets while applying the Law of Magnetism to specific problem-solving activities. Students experiment with natural magnets, man-made magnets, electromagnets, and a magnetic sensor to investigate and collect data on what types of materials a magnetic field will pass through.

Milky Way

1st - 3rd Grade The solar system is brought down to Earth as students view the planets in our new portable STARLAB planetarium! Young astronomers act out the movements of the sun, moon, and Earth to describe the patterns of night and day in this out-ofthis-world program.

Slime Science

1st - 3rd Grade Experience chemical changes by creating a variety of “slime” substances in the lab. This messy program includes measuring, using proper lab practices while adhering to the scientific method, and exploring the properties of matter.

Dynamic Earth

2nd - 4th Grade Children reveal Michigan history by digging out “fossils” and learn to interpret map data in this hands-on class. Observe simulated glacial movements that re-create the formation of the Great Lakes. Alter the landscape in our 5-foot stream table model to prevent water erosion and flooding!

Storm Chasers

3rd Grade Young meteorologists make weather observations, use weather map skills, and operate weather instruments while learning the science behind our changing atmosphere. 3rd - 5th Grade Cold War Aircraft Carrier Training - Officers and enlisted personnel: Welcome to your first mission briefing and hands-on training aboard the CV-63 USS Kitty Hawk aircraft carrier. As the Cold War continues, your service is required to deliver American warplanes and pilots directly to the front lines in the Pacific. Be part of the action as the two major superpowers, the United States and the Soviet Union, face off. Catapult the F-14 Tomcat and the F-8 Crusader safely off the deck of the USS Kitty Hawk into battle.

Getting Into Grasshoppers

Grasshoppers have organ systems that function very much like those of humans. Budding biologists will dissect grasshoppers to examine the external and internal organs that support survival, growth, behavior, and reproduction.

Hot Wired

3rd - 5th Grade Students learn the fundamentals of electricity while constructing multiple open and closed circuits, building electromagnets, and relaying messages on a real telegraph! This exploratory course is designed to give students an understanding of how electricity and energy are transferred to devices used in daily life.

Life in Space

3rd - 5th Grade

Students discover the social and physiological challenges posed by extended stays in space, and see the systems used to sustain life aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Young astronauts work as a team to complete a challenge that simulates the conditions experienced during a spacewalk and learn about current scientific experiments taking place in space.

Young Aviators

3rd - 5th Grade Students explore the science and history of flight during this exciting hands-on experience. Young Aviators experiment with the four forces of flight and learn how to manipulate airplane control surfaces to make their own take-home glider soar!

Blast Into Space

4th - 5th Grade

Aspiring astrophysicists investigate the forces placed on an astronaut during a space mission and explore ways of increasing a rocket’s speed by converting chemical potential energy into kinetic energy using Newton’s Third Law of Motion! Students also learn the science involved in completing a successful mission to Mars.

Junior Imagineers

4th - 5th Grade Young engineers demonstrate their knowledge of work, energy, and forces while exploring the history and power of simple machines during this hands-on STEAM workshop. 4th - 5th Grade Students discover the fantastic world of static electricity while creating voltage between different objects and transferring electrical energy from one object to another! Activities include experimentation with a Wimshurst static machine, the world’s first battery, and the “hairraising” 325,000-volt Van de Graaff generator.

Rockin’ Roller Coasters

Young physicists learn how speed, mass, g-force, and potential energy affect the design of the most popular thrill rides on the planet! Students use engineering principles to cooperatively build and test their own large-scale roller coasters in this popular class experience!

Seeing Stars

4th - 5th Grade Look out to the universe to investigate the sun and stars in our new portable planetarium! Check out the view from above to observe the patterns of the day and night skies before gravity pulls you back down to Earth.

4th - 5th Grade Students investigate the science of polymers while exploring the properties of matter in common household materials. By creating a variety of “slime” substances in a lab setting, future chemists discover how changing the ratio of the chemical ingredients affects the outcome of the gooey gak. Young scientists utilize proper lab practices while developing other unique slimy materials.

4th - 5th Grade How does light move through the parts of the eye and get processed by the brain? Investigate the sense of sight in this cow eye dissection class that will make you see the light!

This IS Rocket Science

4th - 5th Grade

Young astrophysicists learn how rockets work by gaining knowledge of physical forces and Newtonâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Laws of Motion. They race the force of gravity, investigate the exchange of thermal energy, create real-life action/reaction scenarios, and build and launch their own model rockets (weather permitting). Students take home a reusable model rocket.

The Forces Are With You

Young scientists utilize engaging models to demonstrate the power of physics and learn about Newtonâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Laws of Motion. Basic physics principles come to life as students manipulate variables during hovercraft testing and constructing catapults to test the formula: Force = Mass x Acceleration.

Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Corporate Engineering Challenge The Air Zoo and The South Central Michigan Chapter of The Society of Women Engineers will be hosting the sixth annual Corporate Engineering Challenge at the Air Zoo on February 16, 2019. Recognizing that young women are significantly underrepresented in engineering and other STEM-related careers, the Air Zoo and SWE partner annually to host a one-of-a-kind engineering challenge. This event exposes young girls, aged 9-12, to the field of engineering, introduces them to female engineers in diverse science and technology fields, and acts as a public showcase for the region's leading STEM companies.

Advanced STEAM Engineering 6th - 8th Grade Budding engineers expand their knowledge of mechanical advantage, energy, and work while exploring the history and influence of machines in this exciting, hands-on STEAM workshop! After designing and building a compound machine and participating in an innovative engineering challenge, students are sure to go home excited about science and engineering!

Aviation Design

6th - 8th Grade What does it take to design a new aircraft? Aspiring aerospace engineers examine this engineering challenge through studying the four forces of flight, exploring angle of attack, and piloting the Air Zooâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s unique full-motion flight simulators! Students explore aircraft design and aerodynamic principles while building and testing their own wing prototypes in the Air Zooâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s wind tunnel!

A View from Orbit

6th - 8th Grade Let the planets and stars come to you in our new portable planetarium! Students will examine the reasons for the seasons, moon phases, and eclipses while watching the Sun-Earth-Moon system come to life.

Flight School Science

6th - 8th Grade Students explore the science and history of flight during this hands-on experience! Participants design and build FPG-9 gliders and experiment with the four forces of flight, control surfaces, and Bernoulliâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Principle.

Young astrophysicists collect data and make observations of how rockets work! Students take home a reusable model rocket.

What does it take to design a new aircraft? Aspiring aeronautical engineers examine this real-world engineering challenge and study Bernoulli’s Principle of air pressure, lift-to-drag ratios, and flight controls. Students explore aircraft design and aerodynamic principles, build and test wing prototypes in the Air Zoo’s wind tunnel, and put their flying skills to the test in the Air Zoo’s full-motion flight simulators.

Crime Scene Investigation 101 9th - 12th Grade A “crime” has been committed at the Air Zoo! The focus of this innovative and unique class involves solving an Air Zoo mystery utilizing real-world Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) protocols. Young sleuths lift and identify finger prints, analyze trace evidence with microscopes, and synthesize evidence from the crime scene to identify a suspect. Student Crime Scene Investigators work cooperatively to determine the guilty party while discovering CSI careers, real crime scene procedures, and evidence collection and preservation techniques.

Living History of WWII

9th - 12th Grade

Students gain a uniquely personal perspective of the war that changed the world by participating in several realistic roleplaying challenges. Students decide whether to enlist in the armed forces, or wait to possibly be drafted, and explore the consequence of their decisions. In addition to experiencing life in various combat zones, students examine how participation in World War II altered the roles of various minority groups living in the United States.

Science On the Go! “Science on the Go!” programs bring our Education team directly to your students, performing the same amazing 45 – 60 minute educational programs in your classroom! This great alternative to an off-site field trip provides a unique way to supplement current lessons, and/or reward students. Victory through Air Power Explore the role of aviation in determining the outcome of World War II. This tour introduces participants to the theories, technologies, and tactics employed by the United States Army Air Corps and Navy that led to ultimate victory, and gives an overview of the processes used for training American military pilots and Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) volunteers.

March 7, 2019 Virtual Aviation Ground School “Virtual Aviation Ground School” begins with a pre-flight check of an aircraft and then an overview of navigation and air space. Next, students get a virtual flight experience by donning our new virtual reality goggles and simulating flight over southwest Michigan. This is not one of our full-motion simulators but a ground-based virtual reality experience, so no turbulence, we promise! The class wraps up with a question-and-answer session with some of the Air Zoo’s expert pilot docents.

Education for Employment (EFE) Education for Employment (EFE) (through the Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency) Aviation Technology - Engineering, Manufacturing & Industrial Pathway This course is a great way to jump-start a career in aviation or space science. Students develop a broad knowledge base in subjects including the evolution of airplanes and commercial aviation, flight operations, aerodynamics, performance, regulations, and aircraft systems through participation in field trips, guest speakers, online learning, and shop projects. The course includes material developed by the AOPA High School Initiative.

Civil Air Patrol Overnight Model Rocketry Badge CAP’s Model Rocketry program is an achievement program for cadets interested in the science, technology, and flight of model rockets. Cadets will be introduced to the hobby and science of model rocketry. Rocket construction begins with simple alternative-power models and progressively challenges cadets to construct more advanced models in three stages. Cadets who complete this Overnight will be certified to receive the Cadet Model Rocketry Badge (badge not provided by the Air Zoo).

American Heritage Girls Overnight Aviation Badge Tenderhearts and Explorers spread their wings as they work together to earn their Aviation Badges in one fun and educational Overnight! Girls will learn how airplanes fly by demonstrating Bernoulli’s Principle, make and test several flying contraptions, and tour the cockpit of an airplane to see real flight instrumentation up close! AHG badges are not provided, but each girl receives an Air Zoo fun patch.

Rocketry - Gain a working knowledge of physical forces and Newton’s Laws of Motion through racing the force of gravity, creating real-life action/reaction scenarios, and building and launching (weather permitting) your own model rockets. Scouting: Girl Scouts Super Science Saturdays During the Air Zoo’s Super Science Saturdays, Girl Scouts complete the requirements for one or more badges in one exciting day! Each Super Science Saturday is tailored for a particular Girl Scout level. Other children may attend with the Girl Scout, but must be accompanied by an adult. The Air Zoo does not have the badges, but each participating scout will receive an Air Zoo fun patch! Every registrant also receives a wrist band so that they can explore the exhibits and rides after the program is over. This Super Science Saturday offers Juniors the opportunity to earn two of the three Girl Scout leadership awards in the Get Moving Journey – Energize and Investigate. You will examine the conservation of non-renewable energy resources and the use of renewable resources. Junior Girl Scouts Super Science Saturday February 2, 2019 • 9 am - 11:30 am (Product Designer) and 12:30 pm – 3 pm (Jewelry) Choose your Super Science Saturday experience – register for one or both of these badges to create your own day of fun! Product designers will investigate, invent, and innovate to find out what makes for a great product and then design their own creations. All products are rigorously tested to make sure they work properly, and you will find innovative solutions to improve your product’s performance to make it great! Tiger Cub Super Science Saturday Curiosity, Intrigue, and Magical Mysteries Adventure Loop and Sky is the Limit Adventure Loop November 3, 2018 • 9 am – 12:30 pm Tiger Cubs will spend half of their day creating a secret code, learning sign language and Braille, and putting a science “magic” show together for Air Zoo visitors as they complete requirements for their Curiosity, Intrigue, and Magical Mysteries Adventure Loop. The second half will focus on most of the requirements necessary for the Sky is the Limit Adventure Loop. They will learn to use a real telescope, make their own constellation telescopes and investigate careers in astronomy and space exploration!

We will split the day up as we take Wolf Cubs through the Digging in the Past Adventure Loop requirements. They will act as junior paleontologists investigating “fossils,” discovering dinosaurs and really digging into the past. They’ll also experiment with properties of air and create and fly airplanes and kites to achieve their Air of the Wolf Adventure Loop!

Webelo Super Science Saturday Adventures in Science Adventure Pin and Earth Rocks! Adventure Pin February 23, 2019 • 9 am – 3 pm

Get your Webelos working towards their Adventures in Science Adventure Pin. They will begin their “fair test” of a fertilizer’s effects on plant growth (to be finished at home or at future scout meetings), make and launch (weather permitting) model rockets, and experiment with electric circuits. We will also spend half the day working toward completing most of the requirements needed for the Earth Rocks! Adventure Loop as we discuss geology with a visiting earth scientist and learn to identify and test rocks and minerals. Scouts may complete the rock hunt requirements in advance of this event and bring in their finds to identify!

Merit Badge Saturdays! During the Air Zoo’s Merit Badge Saturdays, scouts spend one exciting day completing all of the requirements needed for a merit badge! The Air Zoo awards each participating scout an Air Zoo fun patch (merit badges provided by troop leader) and every registrant also receives a wrist band so that they can explore the exhibits and rides after the program is over. Investigate the forces of flight and the control surfaces of an airplane using a specialized wind tunnel. Tour the Air Zoo’s amazing collection of aircraft and make, fly, and modify your own take-home glider. Space Exploration Merit Badge Day April 13, 2019 • 9 am – 4:15 pm Complete all requirements for the Space Exploration Merit Badge at the Air Zoo! Discover past and future implications of space exploration, research the technology and products developed directly from the space program, and build and launch (weather permitting) a model rocket. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019: Earth Rocks Test a variety of minerals, just like the experts do in the field. Discover why seashells are extremely strong, and sift and excavate your own take-home shells! Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019: STEAM Building Challenge Use your creative ideas and engineering skills to build structures strong enough to hold up to “The Three Billy Goats Gruff” and withstand hurricane-force winds. Make objects soar toward targets after making mini-catapults! Saturday, March 16, 2019: Wild Weather Why do supercell storms and tornadoes form in certain areas around the Earth? What can we do to prevent damage from flooding and high winds? Explore these ideas and more using a stream table, dry ice tornadoes, and weather instruments. Saturday, May 11, 2019: Materials Science Why do some materials work better for building airplanes, spaceships, and houses than others? Experiment with polymers, metals, ceramics, and composite materials using electricity, heat, and light energy.

Spring Break +1 Camps Preschool 4-5 yrs old Kids, your favorite +1 adult is welcome to join you at camp so you can have twice the fun! 4 and 5 year old preschoolers are welcome to bring an adult chaperone, but it is not required.

April 2 - Fantastic Flying Discover how people learned to fly by studying birds and experimenting with kites, gliders, and planes. Learn about basic aircraft construction while making your own takehome flying machines in this program full of high-flying fun!

April 4 - Build It! This camp is the blueprint for fun! Explore shapes and patterns while constructing towers, sculptures, pyramids, and other structures. Young architects will try to protect the Three Little Pigs from the Big Bad Wolf using straws, sticks, bricks, and giant Lincoln logs.

Spring Break Day Camps Choose from a variety of science-based, day camp programs that engage and inspire children to learn about the exciting world of science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM). Utilizing fun, exciting, and highly interactive programming, the Air Zoo guides young minds through creative and inquiry-based experiences that instill a lifelong passion for learning. April 2 Rockets and Roller Coasters Fly up, zoom down, and spin all around in a day full of wild science fun. April 3 - Rescue 911 Oh no! Your friend has fallen out of your tree fort – what should you do? Okay, so it didn’t really happen, but you will have fun learning how to handle a variety of emergency situations, including making a plaster cast and a finger splint. Practice responding to emergencies just like real paramedics.

April 3 - Astronauts in Training Astronauts are living in space! Join us to learn more about the special tools, astronaut suits, and equipment used aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Young explorers will design their own space suits to take home.

April 4 Cool Chemical Connections What happens when you mix a little bit of this and a whole lot of that? Find out in this fun and potentially messy camp. Experiment with the properties of matter and test various ingredients to create cool chemical reactions like gooey slime and oozing liquids!
