Welcome to Australian International School Hong Kong (AISHK), a vibrant and caring co-educational day school for students from Reception (K2) to Year 12. Founded in 1995, AISHK offers a high-quality, balanced education rooted in Australian values and a strong intercultural understanding.
We are the only school in Hong Kong to offer the Australian curriculum, with the option for students in their final two years to study either the New South Wales Higher School Certificate (NSW HSC) or the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP). In Primary, teachers adopt a variety of approaches and strategies, depending on the subject area and each individual student’s learning style which differentiate both by task and outcome.
As children progress through the Primary years, a greater emphasis is placed on student self-discipline and organisation. Students are given ample opportunity to organise and represent their work in a variety of ways and to display higher levels of understanding. There are also opportunities for leadership skill development. At all stages, inquiry, critical thinking and independent learning are nurtured within a safe and structured, yet flexible, environment.
The Primary curriculum is complemented by a diversity of events and activities to develop the whole student, enhancing their skills and showcasing their passion for sports, performing arts, public speaking, camps and outdoor experiences.
