REJO WALK

Maguwoharjo is one of the suburbs that experienced rapid growth. According Hermanto, 2010:

The linkage of the trade sector is evident in the Traditional Market of Stan which is located in RW 043, Mustokorejo and Babrik Village, Stan Village, Maguwoharjo Village, Depok District, Sleman Regency, D.I Province. Yogyakarta. Satan Market is located at the corner of the intersection of Jl.Raya Tajem and Jl.Sopalan so that the road and market activities become one. In addition to the

market, around Satan there are also 3 universities and Maguwoharjo Stadium. So the citizens of RW 043 and the developers started to use some of the kos-kosan and kiosks. This is also a consideration of the existence of the market so there is ease in running its survival. Citizen houses on the sidewalks I was used as service and culinary stalls inuenced by Stan Market. Departing from the condition of the area, the authors conducted a eld survey to the market area of Satan. Through the Co-Design approach, the authors analyze the area and conduct interviews to some inuential informants in the region. With eld surveys and interviews, the authors obtain accurate information and later can be used as a reference design in accordance with the expectations of residents in the area of the booth.

aims

advantages

With the elaboration of the problems encountered as previously described, the authors want to solve these problems through the Co-Design approach by inviting residents to get used to walking when in the area of this economic center.

So what are the benets of the above strategy?

Why walk? Because of the condition of congestion that has been described above, the number of vehicles parking and the number of street vendors on the street so that makes Jl.Raya Tajem jammed. Well, the strategy is to move the parking area that has been provided by the government. When all the parking has been placed into the pocket, the citizens to reach this economic center area should be on foot. What is the purpose? The goal is that the crossroads of Satan Market can be paired Trafc Lights, regulate the circulation of people and vehicles considering the high density of visitors here, re-activate the pedestrian function so that street vendors can be arranged to a place that has been planned itself, the latter certainly to familiarize people here to walk

The benets are very much that is with the installation of trafc lights above, the circulation of vehicles can be regular and congestion can be minimized. With the pocket parking also, human activities and vehicles can be separated so that safety dapet and that way, air pollution around this economic center will be reduced. The benets of the pedestrian itself to the pedestrian area with a sense of security and comfort, because of the trees to be planned and on foot, visitors can gain experience of space from this area of Satan, where the area of the economic center is lled with various commercial and culinary functions, there is Also the Satan Mosque and Sabo River are still good conditions can be a destination as well as enjoy the area of this economic center. In addition, it can also reduce air pollution because parking activities parked on the side of the road has been moved.

area border In the design project, the area is divided into 2 zones. The ď€ rst is the macro zone that covers a portion of the Satanic area that is the focus of the Rejo Walk design as it relates to circulation as shown in Figure 2. The second is the micro zone encompassing the core area of the rejo walk as in Figure 3. This location is processed in such a way through shortcuts of Co-Design so that it can solve problems and improve the environment of the area.

design scope In the design of this urban area design limits are divided into 2, namely: ď€ rst, the core design of Rejo Walk in the microcomputer to solve the existing problems as in Figure 3. The second limitation of the impact of design Rejo Walk which will be affected in the circulation system and the location of the function From commercial, educational, or residential buildings. These limits fall within the mezo boundary as in Figure 4 in 3D.

The means of WALK is expected that the dominant activity of people in this area is done by walking

REJO WALK means crowds of people walking, considering the roadside area of this area ď€ lled with commercial buildings, so people will be treated to the experience of space from the buildings. In general, Rejo Walk seeks to unify the same market function and separate the circulation of vehicles and people with the revitalization of pedestrian way Please look in Figure 1.1 that illustrates the location of the Morning Market, a separate Evening Market and street vendors that meet the roadside around the Market

It is expected that with the furniture at Point Garden, many of the walkers who enjoy the environment here. Then indirectly become the NODE of the 4 directions of the pedestrian because of its location at the placement. There are 2 point garden points in the West and East Setan area. As in the Figure E

Land use is guided by the condition of RW 043 existing area, but to separate between private and public activities the writer rearranges in such a way that between the two activities can be well established. In the rearrangement, the authors also pay attention to the condition of the residents so that no miss communication occurs with the community. Commercial areas are placed alongside roads to exploit existing and residential potentials within villages where noise levels are lower than on the roadside. Green open space is also inserted into the design to become oxygen for the user as wanted by Mr. Martono sekawa RW chairman.

circulation Based on the concept of Rejo Walk, then the circulation must be considered, as well as the circulation of vehicles in the village. In the existing, the road circulation of the land is still in the form of land, the boundary is not clear and between the roads with each other is not connected. So with this urban design, the authors connect all the way so that circulation can run well. Soil Roads are given pavement, so that rainwater ow can be arranged properly.

This 1-way circulation is applied to the surrounding streets of the Market area, as it is the main route to get to the parking lot. This is to anticipate congestion from meeting 2 vehicles opposite

circulation 1 - way circulation 2 - ways circulation

In addition to the market street area, the circulation remains in two directions. Roads in the North and South of the devil's crossroads are bordered between circulation directions to avoid riders who are back and forth without signs. Because it will make other vehicles obstructed circulation

street wide Rejo Walk urban arrangement involves the widening and narrowing of some roads as well. This is to support the achievement of one activity with another. Inscribed explanation: St. Pasekan road and St Sopalanroad are wide at 6m, but by the government it has been planned to widen that is 1 m to the right side and 1 m to the left side. So the width becomes 8m

The wide Tajem highway was originally 12 m, narrowed to 11 m. This is related to the revitalization of pedestrian to be accomplished without displacing the east mass of the road.

This one-way street is 4 m in width initially, but since there is a main parking function that must pass through this path then the road is widened 0.5 m on the right side and 0.5 m to the left side.

The existence of the Informal Evening Market

InclusIve design

INCLUSIVE DESIGN is a design approach for generating facilities and products for everyone (as users) in general, without physical limitations, age ranges, and gender. With such a design approach, a facility or product will experience a 'compromise' so that everyone as a user can be accommodated for their needs in the move, without excluding some people. (Yusita, 2007) Implementing Inclusive Design can provide facilities for everyone. In a facility architecture that can be used for everyone is a social facility. Linkage to design is a design that can generate shopping facilities and recreational facilities in one location. The shopping facilities here are the Satan Traditional Market.

Recreational facilities that can solve the problem of negative activities in the market environment of Open Space. With this design approach, no users are excluded, they can accommodate their needs in the move. This is related to the existence of the formal sector and the informal sector within the Satan Market environment which is a problem in this design. The formal sector deals with traders within the Satan Market, and the informal sector is traders who are in the Evening Market, street vendors around the street, and illegal parking on the street. Through the Inclusive Design approach, the informal sectors have the same rights as the formal sector, including having a proper place.

high object In the social space there is a high object so easily recognizable people around the social space.

Open Space with mini garden model: - High object - Fir tree and tanjung _ Natural stone terraces - Swimming with water fountain - Aerobic area - Children's area

The social space of open space with mini garden model is located outside the market building so that it can be used by all users. In open space there are elements that need to be analyzed including the object used, the tree used, and the type of terrace. This is based on the standard social facilities for the market

The high object is easy to see from the outside because it is higher than the building covering it.

Low objects are hard to see from the outside because the height is the same as the building covering it.

Fir Tree and tanjung tree The use of pine and cape trees in the social space area because the pine serves to give the direction and the cape tree as a shade For pine vegetation is on the south side to give visitors visibility from the road and to the cape tree is around the social space in order to shade all its activities.

concept The high object used in the form of sculpture featuring the characteristics of the Satan Market is as follows:

The use of a at terrace so that people who walk and sit are in the same room

The use of terraces in storied so that people who sit and walk have their own space.

The alternative is to use a terraced terrace, in addition to giving space to the sitting person is also used to reduce the direct view to the market

concept Materian terrace used is a natural stone that gives the impression of familiar. The concept is combined with grass so that when interacting inside, users feel cool. The orientation of the terrace overlooks the Sclupture located in the center of the social space, the Sclupture is surrounded by a pond and fountain which on the edge also has a terrace that can be used for sitting as well. In the circulation section of the terrace also uses natural stone material that connects between the child area, leisure area, and aerobic area as in the picture above.

vehicle Spiral two-wheeled vehicles can reach each oor using sanvieria plants to transition to the market, so that pollutants do not enter the market. Once analyzed, the spiral circulation is emphasized on the rst oor so that people on the rst oor are easy to reach visitors at all sides of the building

As a transition from parking to market using sanvieria plant which is zigzag planting (perpendicular to dominant wind direction) in order to receive maximum wind as shown below.

To put the plant using a medium pot and rope so that plants can be arranged up and pollution into the building less and less.

SANVIERIA PLANT PARKIR MOTOR SPIRAL CIRCULATION

The parking size of each motor is 2.25m x 0.75m

Car vehicle with 90 ° direct parking angle with 5.5m wide circulation and 2.5m x 5m per vehicle space per vehicle Four-wheeled parking is on the ground oor consisting of a public parking lot and a difable park park. For difable is placed close to the entrance so as to provide comfort to ifable

Drive Thru service that uses service counters. The menu is served in the form of commodities of vegetables, fruits, and groceries

Below is an alternate circulation for drive thru. Alternative no.3 is the most exible circulation is the circulation in Figure No.3 because with the circulation on the back of the building will not disturb market activity on the front. Given, the circulation for drive thru should continue to ow.

The types of merchandise used for drive thru service are vegetables, fruits, and dried groceries. Here will be analyzed on the layout of drive thru space based on the type of merchandise placement. For ease of ofcers in taking orders, then orders in the drive thru differentiated by type of merchandise as in the following alternative images: The recommended trademark layout layout for Satan Market is Figure no.1 which uses 3 elongated tables which each table consists of one type of merchandise because by distinguishing the trade type based on the table it is easy for the ofcer to recognize and quickly be able to take his order without having to get around to the table another.

According to the standard on the drive thru there are 2 counters ie counter bookings, as well as payment and counter collection of goods. The time required to reach between counters is at least 60 seconds or about 5m. In the design, visitors every day to reach 200 people. If using one service has the potential to cause queue, so it will be used 2 services that is to be 4 counters, 2 as the place of order, as well as payment and 2 counters for place of order taking.

1

2

Counter service 1 Counter service 2

Based on the alternative analysis of the counter placement above, Figure no.1 is more appropriate for use in the design, because the space used is more efď€ cient, does not require 2 spaces for circulation as in Figure 2 and placing the order can be in one room, because the location of the counter is adjacen
