AISHWARYA BHANDARI
Studying in the fourth year of architecture, I believe that there should always be a balance between nature, material and modern technology. A blend of traditional experience with the contemporary design will give the space its essence. I believe in the power of architecture. In it’s ability to passively but profoundly influence all spheres of human life. Keeping these thoughts in mind, the projects that I worked upon in my academic course gave me the exposure to different building materials, systems and sustainability techniques. Learning more such techniques and ways to build with earth is the aim. Architecture for me is thus, an interdisciplinary field of art.

02 A multinational bank has decided to expand their business in India. As a strategy, they are opening with their zonal offices in upcoming metro cities like Pune, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Noida. As a pilot project Pune Zonal Office is set become the prime mover in creating a brand identity over its pan – India country operations. The promoters visualize that the architectural qualities of their pilot venture would reflect the national aspirations as an emerging market and financial stake holder in international wealth creation. The promoters have earmarked site admeasuring about 2.15 acres for the project in the revenue village of wakad in the proximity of hinjewadi, Pune.
ZONAL BANK HEADQUARTERS
Bank being a mediator related to flow of money from one place/ person to the other, the structure similarly depicts flow of spaces. The atrium and the bridges act as mediators to connect people and spaces. The double height terraces created on alternate floors act as recreational spaces in the working areas, increasing workers efficiency in terms of good working conditions.
03 Puducherry has an interesting cross-cultural history and its built form is one of the major components in lending a unique identity of the town. The town, planned on a grid pattern in oval shape, encompasses two different parts – Tamil and French, divided by a canal. The Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate change, Union of India along with Union Territory of Puducherry propose to build a Marine Ecology Research Centre to address the development of academic framework and creation of human resources in the field of Marine Sciences. The proposed site is to the southern part of the heritage town. The site location is ideal for the project with the Estuary and grand canal on the west , bay of Bengal on the east and existing Mangrove ecosystem on site.
MARINE ECOLOGY AND RESEARCH CENT
