Form - Deform - Reform
LOOK BOOK A/W 2017
Zooming in, blurriness, distortion brings a new feel in the surface in terms of textures, shapes and lines. Forms that I picked up, deformed when zoomed in but yet I gained new forms again through it. It is interesting to see how objects depict balance and show emphasis on the rhythm of drama in each line and form. The photographs I chose were put to be zoomed in, that made clear understanding of deformations and highlighted structural lines. The lines when enlarged further, deforms completely and dissipates into pixels. Both are visually different in appearance but in reality they belong to the same body. However, I’ve tried to merge the two kinds of visuals and tried to derive a new form, keeping in mind the essence of the true body. I’ve tried to show the relation between the structural and molecular levels of the visuals and squeezed the relation through another dimension in the form of structural garments. ASHISH KUMAR
