Mother of 1, Grandmother of 8. I was raised and went to college in Sudbury, Ontario. I moved to Vancouver Island for health reasons and returned to school as a single mother. I have always worked in the field of disability services. At 40 I received my Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in anthropology and minor in psychology. I went on to specialize with my Post degree diploma in Nental Health and addictions. I moved to Red Deer in 2014 to be with my son, his wife and my grandchildren. After taking a sebatical in 2023, I realized I felt my best while volunteering at Red Deer Hospice, so I am working on completing my Masters in Counselling at Athabasca University, and I have registered for Thanatology at Ontario Western University. I look forward to meeting my classmates and the next season of my life.
