CO-HOUSING My aim is to create a co-housing community for lovers of sport and sports professionals alike. Long working hours in London as well as the commute to work often means that it is difficultto participate in sporting activities due to a lack of time. Furthermore, distance between familyand friends can mean that there is nobody to partake in activities which can affect motivation. Thesports professionals can carry out sessions for the other inhabitants and public sessions can also be used to generate funds. Moreover, there is a CafĂŠ which is located by the outdoor seating area to enhance the social atmosphere as inhabitants can enjoy their coffee outside when the weather allows it. The cafĂŠ would also be open to passers-by as there is no other coffee shop nearby and this will generate further funds for the community.I have included sports facilities such as gym, yoga, basketball, indoor tennis, table tennis, mixed martial arts. My proposal provides a community for people to stay active together. Those living within this cohousing facility will not need to use public sports facilities which are often crowded, overwhelming and not family friendly. Inhabitants will also avoid paying unnecessary expensive fees and signing long contracts. There is a specific demographic in London for whom healthy living is increasingly important and the cohousing sports facility will mean that healthy living is much easier to achieve and maintain.
