Chapter 4 The Outer Court The Brazen (Brass) Altar of Sacrifice: Exodus 27:1-8 and 30:17-21 (Altar of Burnt Offering)
The Brazen Alter of Sacrifice was the place where the Priest would place the unblemished sacrifices from the children of Israel. The Brazen Altar of Sacrifice is the direct correlation of the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross of Calvary. Animal sacrifices were offered on the Brazen Altar, located just beyond entering the Outer Court, at the East Gate, the feet of Jesus, in front of the Tabernacle. The blood of sacrificed animals was smeared sprinkled on the four horns of the altar. The blood sacrifices of unblemished bull and ram points to the coming Messiah. The sacrifices were given for atonement of sin but the aroma from the burning and smoking flesh became a sweet smell in His Nostrils. Today entering this represent one who enters the Outer Court at the East Gate at the Feet of Jesus. It resembles offering yourself as a living sacrifice as you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. Jesus is in the Outer Court welcoming you as a child of God, for by his sacrifice Jesus paid, reconciled the debt of sin for the world thus giving you the gift of salvation through sanctification. It is in the Outer Court where you become a Christian, a New Born Believers in Christ. You are to learn as the Priest and High Priest did to reverence the Lord by bringing and giving sacrifice(s) and offering(s) as you come confessing and repenting for your sins. In the Outer Court, Jesus, our Advocate, desires intimacy with you. However, you will never establish an intimate relationship with Jesus if you stay in the Outer Court. Entering into this new relationship with Jesus is just the beginning of life’s journey that will require a closer walk with Jesus. Copyright 2012 AJS Ministry: (Anointed By Jesus To Serve Ministry)

The Out Court Experience: The Brazen Alter of Sacrifice: The Outer Court experience was significant to giving a blood offering for one’s atonement for sin. Today, its relevancy represents the beginning place for the Plan of Salvation. Believers accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. In Romans 10:9-10 we read a fundamental scripture that opens the door for those seeking to accept Jesus. Jesus offers a more perfect covenant, greater than the Laws written and given by Moses. It is the Gift of Salvation and God’s Redemption Plan for Eternal Life. He gives us Salvation by way of Sanctification. To be sanctified is to be set apart from darkness and selfish ungodly ways. It is this separation, being set apart-Sanctified-which covers and keeps you from practicing sin. However, the carnal mind cannot and will not obey the will and commands of God. It is the covering Blood of our Suffering Lamb, Jesus, and by his Grace that sets apart the mind of Believers. It keeps them from practicing and living in sinful deeds and thoughts. As long as you Believe and keep His Commandments in your heart you will no longer remain a slave to sin. It is by way of Sanctification (set apart) from sin that the Father bestows his Grace and Mercy upon Believers to be saved, to be ye Holy. You must accept Jesus if you are to inherit the Gift of Eternal life with the Father in Heaven. The blood of the lamb placed on the door post of the children of Israel could save them. Thus, how much more can Jesus, the Sacrificial Lamb who died for the world, do to keep mankind, believers, from falling? In the crucifixion and the resurrection of Jesus, we now have the Comforter, the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost, Holy Spirit, comes to quicken in your Spirit the will and the ways of God’s Word by Faith. It is the Grace of God that saved you and it is Faith in God’s Word that keeps you because he granted you His Mercy to forgive. Paul teaches again that our Father did not leave us comfortless, and though there is trouble in the land, we know that in Christ we should not let our hearts be troubled nor be afraid. He did not give us a heart of fear, but of love, joy and a sound mind. The book of John 14 also reminds us that we have a teacher who through His Spirit will send the Comforter who will bring all things to remembrance. It is this Grace, His Power, which allows a way out from sin and to cut off the path of the iniquities of sin. John 14:25-27 25These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. 26But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. 27Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. There is no better story told anywhere in the world than God, the Father, giving up his Son Jesus as a ransom for all mankind, for the World. Jesus, who knew no sin, was given as the ransom for the sins of the World. Though He came as the Light unto the World the world did not know him nor could they receive Him. Yet, Jesus laid down his life for mankind. It is through the Blood that Grace is applied. Commit to your heart and remember that the Camp of Israel was made in the formation of the Cross. This Cross resembled the coming Messiah, Christ Jesus, who would be crucified. Jesus says in: John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. Copyright 2012 AJS Ministry: (Anointed By Jesus To Serve Ministry)

However, Pharaoh’s heart, the King of Egypt, on the other hand had a hardened heart and thus he continued to dismiss God’s commands to let the people go. The Lord God knew the hard heartedness of Pharaoh and according to His will released the death plague, a pestilence of death, upon the first born of Egypt. Pharaoh, as a result, was so awe stricken by the almighty power of God he finally let the people go, Exodus 12. This death plague, referred to also as the angle of death, claimed the lives of all their first born sons in Egypt. However, God made an exception for the children of Israel. Those who yielded to the commands given to Moses by God, they were covered by the Blood of the Lamb. Moses gave precise instructions warning the Children of Israel to slay an unblemished male lamb of the first year. “The Blood of the Lamb” represents the Spirit of God, which was to be smeared upon the two door post and on top the door. This was a command given by God and yet on the surface it appears to be a simple ritual. Nevertheless, when done in faith to believe and in obedience to God’s Word it articulates the establishment of the First Passover. This meant the pestilence of death would Passover the houses covered with the Blood of the Lamb. Further directions were instituted referencing this Sacrificial Lamb in preparation of the meal they would eat. This meal was to be eaten with Unleavened Bread and bitter herbs as a reminder of their suffering, the suffering Jesus would endure and God’s covering of the people of Israel. Think about this: The Sacrificial Lamb of God and the smearing of its Blood on the entrance to their homes, foretells both the use of the Blood for Anointing the Tabernacle and all its furniture, objects and utensils used in the Holy Court. It also establishes the coming forth of the promised: High Priest, Mediator and the Redeemer Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God. The Blood was also used for anointing the Horns on the Ark of the Covenant and furniture in the Holy Sanctuary. Secondly, prophesy reveals that Jesus, according to the Gospel of John 1:29, is the Lamb of God who came to take away the sins of the world. The Blood was for the Atonement of sins for the people Israel. The same Spirit of God bore witness to John the Baptist with: “a sign of a Dove that is to descend from heaven and land upon another, thus illustrating God’s Anointing being placed upon Jesus.” Thus, we are not talking about just an ordinary gathering of tribes and tents where the people lived. Believers must give reference to the Holiness of the Camp of Israel. Contemplate again on the significance of the outer parameters and the fencing surrounding the Outer Courtyard of the Tabernacle as well as the Sanctuary, the Holy Court and the Holy of Holies. The Outer Court was constructed with brass pillars and bases, silver fillets and brass hooks used to hang White Linen curtains that served as separating Walls. These White Linen Walls separated the Tribe of Israel’s Camp from the Tabernacle of the: Outer Court, the Inner Court- Holy Court and the Most Holy Court-Holy of Holies. The White Linen Walls illuminates the area set apart, Sanctified, within the encampment of the Tribe of Israel’s and its contrasting dark colored tents. The White Linen curtains used to frame the Outer Courtyard denotes the Righteousness of God and the Lord Jesus; thus we have a separation from the darkness of the world and the purity of God. This separated the people of Israel from the sacred grounds of the Holy Sanctuary where only the Priest and the High Priest were allowed entrance. This separation was purposed to reveal, for all to see, that the dark tents of Tribes of Israel where located on the outer structure surrounding the Tabernacle of God’s Meeting Place. Only the pure in heart, were allowed to work at the place of sacrifices and washing. Furthermore, washing and

cleansing as we know signifies the purification required before entering the Tabernacle of the Holy Court and the Holy of Holies. Today according to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the White Linen remains as the presence of God throughout the Bible. The White Line is the Righteousness of Jesus for by his blood you are washed, even though your sins were as scarlet they have been washed by the Blood f the Lamb and shall be white as snow and you shall be as wool: Isaiah 1:18-20, Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 19If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: 20But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. Here we see again the power God through the blood of Jesus which washes you clean to become a New Born Believer, A New Babe, in Christ as a gift. It is the Righteousness of God through Christ Jesus. In a very spiritual and yet Holy manner, when a person confesses Christ as their Lord and Savior, you are called New Babes or Believers in the Spiritual Realms. This sets you apart, sanctifies you from the darkness of sin and into His presence, the Marvelous Light. You now are set as a tent for the Lord to Dwell In. It is by His Grace that Faith is revealed and released within the Inner Spirit of New Believers. The Power of God’s Word, by the Blood of Jesus, separates you out of the darkness sanctifies you. Here in the Outer Court we can begin to see Him, Jesus Christ, as the Marvelous Light, for he shall reveal His light that now Dwells in you. The Brazen Alter of Sacrifice is not only where you come to offer your sacrifices, or confess and repent for your sins. You lift up your hands, your heart, saying unto the Lord, I surrender and submit to your will and your ways. It is here that your sincerity, desire and purpose of your sacrifice meet with the presence of God through Christ Jesus. Only God knows your real heart. In the Outer Court, Jesus, our Advocate, is waiting on you to diligently seek him. You must beware of why your acceptance of Jesus, as Lord and Savior is so vitally important in your Spiritual Journey. As a New Babe in Christ you must know that entering into this new relationship with Christ is just the beginning. When Christ accepts your confession and your repentance he already knows your Heart. Not only does the Lord Jesus cover and impart in you His Righteousness, but he also reveals in your Inner Spirit Man a Spiritual Seed of Faith. Now Faith, is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen, as written in Hebrew 11 explains. Faith comes not only by hearing but by hearing the Word of God. By Faith we understand that the world was framed by God. Reflect back to Genesis 1 and recall the power of His Word. God spoke a Word and said “Let There Be” and “Let Us”. Our Triune God: the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, created all things for His Glory. The God we serve is the Life, the Light and Power. He is the Almighty God. While Grace, the Blood of the Jesus, saved you, it is by Faith in His: Word, Spirit, Oil, Water, Light, Glory and His Power that Dwells in you and keeps you, leads and guides you. By Faith he can transform everything in a twinkle of an eye and immediately the measures of spiritual gifts can be given to you and elevate your walk in life. God is so awesome. voice, a quickening of the Holy Spirit, can alter the course of life. All destinies lay in the hand of Jesus. The Lord allows you to walk through the valley of the shadow death and prepares a table for you in the presence of your enemy. Jesus, can move you out the valley of dry bones and in a twinkling of an eye have you seated at the Kings Table, where you have been granted unusual favor by His Glory. Yet, with all the Faith you have in Jesus, there are times that travailing storms of life make you feel as if you cannot go on. However, in the eyes of strangers, there is in your presence a very calming Spirit upon you. Your anchor at times may feel like it is slipping and the storms of life are raging out of control, leaving a sense of futility upon ever thought. Nevertheless, because you are a conqueror your anchor holds on to the solid rock of Jesus. Other struggling souls and Believers looking for hope may see your Faith and feel they too can weather the storms of life. There are countless persons searching, watching and in need of hope. Those who may have observed you saw Faith come alive. There anchor held and their faith is renewed. Jesus is the Anchor and he holds on to you during the dreariest times of uncertainties, and when storms come rushing in. The troubles of life can and are at times over whelming, yet you have a Friend in Jesus. I tell you from experience He keeps you when all else fails. My Lord, how well I know how he has kept you and me. He has kept us in His perfect peace. With the blessed assurance of Faith, He speaks to your storms or situations and decrees “Storm be Still for my Jesus has already ceased your billows rage.” Believers, the Lord has made His Face to shine upon you and you are more than a conquer. You can do all things through Jesus who strengthens you. In the time of trouble he will hide you in His Tabernacle, in His Secret Place of the Holy Court. Confess, repent, surrender and continue to give yourself to Jesus. By Faith He has given you power to belief and to trust in him. As a believer you must establish an intimate relationship with Jesus undergirded with a sincere passion. It must be said over and over again: “By confessing, praying, and asking Christ to forgive your sins and unbelief He washes away and reconciles you from your sins and from the slavery of sin. You must always return to the Alter of Sacrifice and to the Brazen Laver. It is here that the Lord washes you, again and again and again. Regardless to your Christian walk or ministerial position, God says he is no respecter of man, he does not have favorites, all are judged by what they do; I Peter 1:17-19. Because there is always enmity of the flesh and mind in man, God sees us as an unclean thing and our righteousness as filthy rags, Isaiah 64:6.

At the Brazen Altar of Sacrifice: Confess & Repent; Pray for Forgiveness: Forgiveness begins when you Confess, Surrender and Repent before God with a sincere heart. There is no Condemnation in those which are in Christ Jesus who love God and walk after the Spirit and not after the Flesh, Romans 8:1. Forgiveness begins with the state of mind acknowledging unashamedly that you have done wrong, by confessing and repenting to God. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ can and will forgive us of our sins. He is the Redeemed Judge who pardons us from our mistakes, wrong doing that are carried out or thought, on someone else, or even oneself. Therefore, without a shadow of doubt there is a foundation of understanding the difference from right and wrong. To understand the issues of forgiveness there is a foundational truth resting in God’s word. Only He, through Jesus, can loosen the fretters and shackles and straighten out our broken lives. One key principle of Jesus’ instruction on prayer reveals the level of His forgiveness of our sins is rooted in our willingness to forgive our debtors. The state of un-forgiveness is often associated with internal conflicts mimicked by behaviors rooted in selfishness, sin nature, suffering from trauma, abuse, rejection, lack of confidence, guilt, secrets, doubt, fear, lack of faith, decisions gone awry and/or addictions, just to name a few. Only the Lord can deliver one from his or her sin nature and associated demons or demonic forces. The wiles of the devil and his fiery darts attack us by the lust of the flesh which is one of the three major sins: the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye, and or the pride of life. Understanding the challenges of worldly attitudes and behaviors will both lead you to Christ and sharpen your character. There is without question a need to know and to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. There is abounding truth when one knows and accepts that in weakness and brokenness Jesus, our advocate, has already petitioned the Father on our behalf. What is in your heart and soul that needs reconciliation from bondage of sin, afflictions and tormenting spirits that linger in behaviors associated with life’s experiences that Altar Christ Like Characteristics, Attitudes and Behavior? Jesus is still waiting without stretched arms.

Outer Court Experiences & By The Blood of Jesus You Are: Justified, Redeemed, Sanctified and Given Salvation You must whole heartedly believe, by Faith, that the Spirit of the living God through the Blood of his Son our “Suffering Servant” in deed Dwells/Tabernacles in mankind. Also, you must acknowledge that His Spirit of Righteousness far surpasses human intelligence, comprehension and imagination. The historical significance of the Tabernacle Moses built was constructed from instructions anchored in the realm of the Third Heaven, which is well beyond human understanding, II Corinthians 12:1-10. Even the precious metals and all the spoils were given to Israel. They did not leave Egypt poor, yet they remained spiritually bankrupt and incompetent of receiving their real Spiritual inheritance. This is similar to church going folks today who may have money or no money and may or may not have resources because they may not know the riches of His glory down inside their Spirit man. Man’s mind cannot nor does it desire to accept or believe in the Triune God of: the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost. God’s Heavenly Courts reveal to Moses the extraordinary riches, beauty and majesty all for the Glory of God. God Almighty created mankind to have dunamis power, all power, from the alpha and omega of their existence. Man’s creation out of the mind of God’s Holiness foreshadows the great works and power of our coming Lord and Savior, Jesus who is the counselor with God prior to the beginning of time. The iniquity of Adam and Eve resulted in there being rebuked and expelled from the Garden of Eden. God the Judge, therefore, establishes a greater covenant for all mankind. The new, better and final covenant established a sacrificial system of bringing unblemished offerings and animal blood sacrifices to God for the forgiveness of sin, the atonement for sin. Thus, the very existence of the Tabernacle and the Tribe of Israel positions Jesus as the Justifier of our souls. He is the High Priest who has all power in his hands. By grace we know the Blood of Jesus justifies, redeems and saves mankind from the debt of sin by way of sanctification. However, and most unfortunately, too many Believers are totally unaware of God’s divine plan for entering into His Holy presence by way of his Holy Courts. As a result many Christian Believers are living well below their promised Spiritual gifts, inheritance and privileges. Therefore, God’s Kingdom here on earth is suffering for lack of knowledge as the Body of Christ remains ignorant of both their endowment and how to enter through Jesus to receive the blessing of the Lord, Romans 10:1-4. The Body of Christ has become weakened and lethargic without every knowing why. The power and authority of God are lying dormant in Christians, Believers, because they have only an Outer Courter casual fellowship with God through Jesus Christ. There is Power in the Name of Jesus; but it will never be discovered nor released if you live your life remaining in the Outer Court. Unquestionably, everything from the Cross formed by the Tribes of Israel, the array of materials and metals used to construct the Outer Court, Holy Court and the Holy of Holies has a divine purpose. The purity and the beauty of the priestly garments are part of the Deity of his Royal Court. The furniture and utensils, not to mention the intricacy of the embroidery on woven linen, all speak to the Holy Sanctuary. The Outer Court and the blood offerings at the Brazen Altar of Sacrifice as well as the washing at the Brazen Laver remain today as requirements before entering the Holy Court. According to the Word of God, as non-believers enter the Outer Court there are some key but essential facts that one must know and believe:

In the New Testament you will discover Apostle Paul’s writings, as he teaches about justification in the book of Romans. You must know and believe in our hearts that you are justified, judged and set free by the Blood. It is Sanctification by the Grace of Jesus’ redemptive power allowing all Believers to become New Creatures in Christ Jesus. Jesus is the propitiation, a substitute for mankind; through faith in his blood. He proclaims the reconciliation and remission of our sins by the Blood. Jesus imputes Righteousness upon Believers for the remission of sins, through Grace and Mercy. They are no longer bound to the sinful nature of flesh. Paul writes it as follows: Romans 3:23-25, 23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; The word justified is actually a legal term that indicates and reveals a governmental judicial system here on the Kingdom of earth. When God created his earthly Kingdom it mirrored what was set in place in the Kingdom of God, in the Heavens, and the government shall rest upon His shoulders, Isaiah 9:2-7.

Think about the following scripture when you ask the Father about Forgiveness: Matthew 6:9-15 9After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11Give us this day our daily bread. 12And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. 14For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. A. Forgiveness requires repenting (confessing with your mouth) but repentance is the honest integrity in your heart and mind. It is asking the Lord from the depths of your soul (heart) and being heartily sorrow for your sins and wrongdoing. This is an all knowing conscious effort. B. What is in your/my heart and soul that needs reconciliation from bondage of sin. There are afflictions and tormenting spirits that linger in behaviors associated with life’s experiences that alter Christ like characteristics in ones attitude and behavior C. Forgiveness requires a sincerity when confessing and repenting, with a desire to be forgiven D. Forgiveness allows for a closer walk with Jesus E. Forgiveness allows you to receive a contrite heart that hates sin F. Are you ready to let go and let God? G. Are you willing and ready to seek Forgiveness 1. Jesus is our advocate and chief intercessor. You must sincerely desire to be set free from feelings or issues hidden within your heart, mind, and soul 2. Non-forgiveness clouds your thoughts; Altering your Inner Spirit of peace and joy 3. Stop masquerading as a happy Soul, when deep down in your heart are years of built up: hurt, pain, anger, guilt, bitterness, jealousy and Non-forgiveness 4. Forgiveness begins with your forgiving others and asking others to forgive you 5. Forgiveness is manifested freedom given to Believers by the Grace of God 6. Accepting Jesus as a new Convert-Believer is a step towards reverencing God 7. Since God has forgiven you, you must “Learn to Forgive Yourself by not living in guilt It is important to acknowledge that with great successes and accomplishments there are seasons of life when failures, emptiness, suffering, and loneliness can be experienced simultaneous. Mature Believers can be heard testifying and witnessing to others that if it had not been for the Lord, where would they be. It is by His Grace that you are able to weather the storms and triumphs of life. God is such an awesome God that he will bless you and allow you to suffer, while being tested, purged until you reach Copyright 2012 AJS Ministry: (Anointed By Jesus To Serve Ministry)

a place where you are sorrowful, remorseful, sick and tired of being sick and tired. This is also a test of one’s faith. Until you have a repentive heart, walk in and by faith it will be impossible to please God. Hebrew 11:6 6But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. You have tried everything else and you are at the fork of the road and you know only God can set you free. He can also give you a Peace that passes all understanding with a Helmet of Salvation that strengths your mind and keeps you willing to strive to meet His mark of the High Calling. No longer satisfied with a casual relationship with God you now desire to seek intimacy with Christ. Remember the Christian Walk throughout life is a walk by faith and not by sight. During life’s journey there may be challenges or even moments where you could find yourself on a crook road, in strange place, in a dead end or faced by some mountains, valleys, pain, suffering, disappointments, grief, persecution and times of being overwhelmed with so much pressure. There may also come periods of time where you may fill lost in a place or in a time discovering uncertainties, not knowing what to do or what not to do. You could find yourself in spite of all the prayers and scriptures read not knowing what to do. It is during these strange places that reading the Word of God, praying, praising and worshipping Him can or will assist you in discovering You are required to learn to wait on the Lord and be of Good courage, and stand still and see the Salvation of the Lord. His comfort, peace, protection and refreshing. Yet, there may come a day or even periods of time, where you are not sure what God is saying. You may feel He is not listening. You are calling on Him and there are no answers, no movement or leading of the Holy Spirit. You have been faithful, yet no answers, nor directions, just absolute silence. Nevertheless, my brothers and sisters in Christ, as a Believer always know, in your heart, that God never fails. Covered by the Lord he will guide you through every situation. Your valley experiences are purposed by God for His Glory. The Bible says every knee will bow and every tongue will confess, therefore life experiences can and will cause you to surrender and submit to the Will of God. These life lessons, if you listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit, will usher you through corridors of time and enhance your walk of Faith. You will learn to trust and believe in the power of God and Christ Jesus in you. Ole folks said it was the making of you. Also, know that the Bible says when you love the Lord the world is going to hate you. Continue believing and know that He is your provider, healer, way-maker, doctor, lawyer, teacher, mother, father, husband, wife or whatever you need the Lord to be or do for you. Wait on the Lord, I say wait on the Lord. A true believer is one who not only learns during trying times to thank God but continually gives Him all the praise, honor and the glory. It is easy to sing, praise God and act like a good Christians when all is going well. It is during the trying and challenging times, especially when there are unforeseen health, financial and health issues that arise that we learn to trust God through Christ Jesus. You must grow to trust and believe in him by Faith even the more. It is in these moments that you are challenged to let you light shine and not lose faith, nor give into worldly ways to get by difficult times. Many of our Christian brothers and sisters are fighting the good fight of faith and are persevering through tumultuous times and will be the first to tell you that it is by the Grace of God that they have made it through or knowing by faith they will make it. One thing that remains constant in knowing God: “He is a Good God and He is always on time.” He may not come when you want and need him, based on your Copyright 2012 AJS Ministry: (Anointed By Jesus To Serve Ministry)

time, but rest assured He will be there on time. Bear in mind that He: has never left you, He knows what you need, He knows where you are and how much you can bare and He knows the way. Therefore, continue to trust and believe regardless to what it feels or looks like, Trust and Believe in God. To help focus on what it really means to confess and ask God for Forgiveness here are seven points you may want to consider. Only you and Jesus know the level and intimacy of your fellowship with Him:
1. First, there are those who are ignorant and consider the realm of God a Triune God, (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) as foolishness, obscured as they are oblivious to the work and life of the incarnated God in Christ Jesus. Kings of Kings and Lord of Lords, the Creator of the Universe whom has all power, majesty and glory in His hand
2. Secondly, there are those who know of God and the works of his son Jesus but yet have never accepted or refused to accept/confess Jesus as their Lord and Savior, the Son of the Living God who died and arose from the dead
3. Third, there are those who have in time past received Christ as their Savior. May have been baptized and even filled with the Holy Ghost as tongue speaking Christians, love God and/or have experienced the grace and mercy of God’s love, but have turned away from God a. These are persons who maybe backslidden and have pulled away from Christ b. They do not or will not confess and repenting before the Lord
4. Fourth, there are those Believers who really seek a closer walk with the Lord 5. Fifth there are those who have over a period of time established a disciplined life of daily to meditation, prayer, bible study, praise, worship and fasting. They fine time no matter what to serve and acknowledge God. Their lives are given to the work of God and helping others. These individuals are mature believers who have grown to understand that time given in prayer and service to Christ is the answer to all they need. a. The Word of God says we are to be Holy, Fruitful, Loving, and caring for others. He will supply our every need when we can trust him more and lean not to our own understandings but in all thy ways acknowledge Him and he shall direct thy path, (Proverbs 3:5 5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths) b. Think on these things as you walk in the Spirit: His love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, meekness and temperance; Galatians 5:22-23. These realities are also undergirded by God’s Word that states that we all have fallen short of the Glory of God. However, we all will one day have to bow down before the Lord to confess our sins. We are held accountable for roads traveled and the choices and or not choices we made on this side of God’s earthly Kingdom. Given these facts review the scriptures below to help set the foundation for Confession and Forgiveness: Remember “Forgiveness begins with Confessing” from your heart, being Copyright 2012 AJS Ministry: (Anointed By Jesus To Serve Ministry)

sorely sorrowful of your misdoings, unclean or ungodly thoughts, and other sinful ways or attitudes and attributes that are contrary to God’s Will for your life: I John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us Furthermore, you must confess with your mouth, believing in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and thou shall be saved. It is confessing and believing in your heart which gives unto you righteousness made unto salvation. When you believe in the power and works of God through Christ Jesus you will no longer be ashamed of yourself nor the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You will begin experiencing a new life and become a New Creature in Christ Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5:17 17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new There is however an area of caution that must be shared with you, especially those who are sincere and are honestly seeking to know Christ. It is our Sovereign God, the Holy Father and his Son Jesus, who knows the hearts of all mankind. It is He alone who knows the sincerity of a person’s heart. He is the Just (the Judge), our God the Father who sent his son, Jesus, the Just One, who now sits on the throne of Grace and Mercy as the advocate. He is the Judge over our Souls. It is by His Grace, his willingness to shed his blood and give up his life to pay a ransom, that we are set free. Believers therefore are Justified in Christ. This means you are no longer bound to the bondage and slavery of sin and its sin nature. It is important to grab hold of these important points of being justified, being redeemed and set free for the ransom, the debt was paid in full. You are Reconciled and Free to be what God created in you to be. Paul goes on to say in: 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 18And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. i However, it can only be accomplished by way of growing in the Faith, the Will and Ways of Christ. Even if you do not have a Bible or you live in a country where having a Bible or publicly acknowledging Jesus Christ is forbidden remember, He is neigh you. He is the Word and by Faith His Word is already quickened in your mortal body; for He Dwells in you. Just call on the name of Jesus.

Lord God, I pray that you speak right now and reveal your sweet comforting protecting Spirit upon those that desire to hear and need a Word, a touch from you. Cover them/us and quicken their/our Faith to hear the Voice of our Shepherd. Lord Jesus, fill hearts with your Love and teach all how to follow after you for you are the Way. Remove Lord every obstacle and stony heart as you give answers, clarity, deliverance, healing, protection and guidance. Hear Lord the prayers of your people. Touch their hearts that Faith may increases to assure that you have already made a way out of no way. Lord for those that really desire a closer walk with you open their Spiritual minds to hear and give eyes so see and hearts to feel your presence. Jesus, let your people know they are never alone and you have never forsaken the righteous nor allowed there seed to beg bread. Read Psalm 37:1-40 it will comfort you. As a child remember being told by a loving mother: “Your Arms are too short to box with God and there is literally no-where to hide.” So remember you serve an all knowing, all encompassing and powerful God. Our God is omnipotent, omnipotent and omniscience: Omnipotent: He is an all empowering God, creator, and ruler of all things. His Word created the Universe and man-kind. He possesses unlimited power and authority. (Heb 1:3 when he had by himself purged our sins and is seated on the right hand of the Majesty on high). He is all powerful. All nations before him are as nothing before him, but a drop in a bucket, Isaiah 40:15-17.ii Omnipresent: God is everywhere, and there is no escaping him, for future reference read Psalm 139:1-24. He knows your every thought there are no secrets you can hide, as he knew you before you were formed in your mother’s womb. He knows your beginning, your future and your end. He is simultaneously present at all times and everywhere. Paul taught the disciples that god know not only your thoughts but your attitude and all your secrets. (Matt. 6:1–18). According Ronald F. Youngblood, states that “Because God is the Creator and Sustainer of time and space, He is everywhere. Being everywhere, He is our great Comforter, Friend, and Redeemer.” Omniscient: Our God is all knowing. He knows our thoughts and even what we think before we utter a sound or a word from our lips. He has all knowledge, wisdom and understanding and does not have to debate or ask for anybodies opinion.
2 Cor. 3:17-18 17Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
From this point on we are on a Path of Prayer striving for a more intimate relationship and understanding of God’s Plan, shrouded in His truth and righteousness. Pray believing in faith, that you have been given power by God through Christ Jesus, even faith as tiny as a mustard seed and trusting God. You have been given the Keys (Power) to the Kingdom of heaven to bind and to lose. In Matthew 16:18-19 Jesus is recorded as saying to Peter:

Matthew 16:18-19 revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Jesus speaks to Peter and the Disciples teaching them that they are the Church. The word Church is translated meaning “the called out ones”. In Greek the word church is the ecclesia. Therefore, the Ecclesia, the Church is also referred to as “the chosen or called-out assembly. The Body of Christ, called out, for you are sanctified, set apart and separated when you accepted Christ and live according to His Word. Also, the Called Out, referring to those who confess with the mouth that the Lord is their Savior, the Resurrected King, have received by Grace the gift of Salvation. Believers are separated and called out of sin to walk in the marvelous Light of Christ Jesus. I cannot over stress the importance of establishing a life given to prayer and meditation that leads to your abiding in the presence of God. You need an intimate relationship with Christ to discover His purpose and Plans for your Life; Jeremiah 29:11. We cannot, nor should we, take likely the mantle of prayer and an intimate relationship that Christ gives for those diligently seeking to be in God’s presence. By the death and resurrection of Christ at Calvary we have receive measures of spiritual gifts, anointing, power and authority to bind on earth: sickness, disease, witchcraft, demonic attacks and powers in high places just to name a few. Know that what you bind on earth is also bound in Heaven and what is loosed on earth is loosed in Heaven, Matthew 16:19. It is the Holy Spirit that moves your supplications into the realms-courts-of prayer that God, through Jesus, hears our prayers. The Power of Christ in you can charge the atmosphere with joy, peace, healing and deliverance. The Power of Jesus that is in you will tear down strongholds when you spend time with Christ in prayer and bible study. It is the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18-20 by which you are instructed to lead the lost and backsliders to Christ Jesus. You are to teach and baptize the acceptance of Jesus as Lord and Savior. It is God’s Grace through the Blood of Jesus who justifies, reconciles and Saves a lost soul by way of His sanctification. Regardless of how good and faithful people may be, family, friends and or ministers only Jesus can save you. You can pray for souls put it is only God through Christ Jesus that saves and delivers lost Souls. God only knows the heart of man and he alone can snatch back lost souls and backsliders into a new relationship in Christ and or for a closer walk with him. You are called to live a life pleasing to God. You are Stewards of God’s Kingdom serving as walking pillars of the “Life of Christ” in you. You are to spread the Gospel, the letter-Bible-the Good News, of Our Lord and Savior and be as sweet perfume. As a Believer you are called to be a Walking Epistles, 2 Corinthians 3:2. Your prayer life should relic the incenses found in the Tabernacle of Moses and your prayers should go up as a memorial unto Jesus as a sweet perfume. You are the mailmen/women who delivers God’s Word in the form of the Bible, and as the living Word shining as the True Light of God upon us, the Believers of His Word. Let your Light Shine that others may want to know Jesus because of his grace, kindness and love revealed in you.

2 Corinthians 2:14-17 (TCEV) 14 I am grateful that God always makes it possible for Christ to lead us to victory. God also helps us spread the knowledge about Christ everywhere, and this knowledge is like the smell of perfume. 15-16 In fact, God thinks of us as a perfume that brings Christ to everyone. For people who are being saved, this perfume has a sweet smell and leads them to a better life. But for people who are lost, it has a bad smell and leads them to a horrible death. No one really has what it takes to do this work. 17 A lot of people try to get rich from preaching God’s message. But we are God’s sincere messengers, and by the power of Christ we speak our message with God as our witness.iii When you confess with your mouth, and believe with all your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you are saved. This is a colloquial phrase in the church world which is referred to as the “sinner’s prayer.” It can be read in Romans 10:9 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Confess and surrender your heart, mind and soul to the will of God. Whatever you, your spouse, family members, neighbors, associates are going through Jesus has the answers. Confessing with your mouth acknowledges that you Believe Jesus is the Resurrected Son of God. You are asking Jesus to forgive your sins. You repent saying: you are heart fully sorrowful for you sins. You are turning to Christ or coming back to Jesus. Because Jesus is near you, in Faith, you can fill Him in your heart leading you. He is the Word and He therefore is all around you. By Faith, keep Jesus in your heart. “He is the Way, The Truth and the Life and no man cometh unto the Father, but by me,” John 14:6. When you confess Jesus He is faithful to remember you, Matthew 10:32-42. We are all called to have a personal prayer life that leads us to know the will and the way God desires us to live. Fervent prayers aligned with growing in the Word draws one closer to our heavenly Father, strengthening the Inner Man (Spirit) to resist the lust of the flesh. His ways shall make us free to live a life more pleasing to him. Peter writes in 2 Peter 3:9, that it is God’s desire through Jesus that none should perish, but all will come to repent. 2 Peter 3:9 9The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 10But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

The Outer Court: The Brazen (Brass) Laver Exodus 27:1-7; 30:1 7-18 & 38:1-8
Brazen Laver was placed just outside the Door of the Holy Court were Moses, Aaron and the Priest, according to God’s instructions, were too continually and daily stop to wash. This is also where they would receive their anointing with the precious and specially made Holy Oil prior to going into the Holy Court. This large brass reflecting bowl is related to the judgment of God. God instructed Moses to teach Aaron and the Priest not to enter into the Holy Place of God without giving of the sacrifices and then washing- confessing and repenting. The Water in the Brazen Laver represents the cleansing by God’s Word that stirs up the working of the Holy Spirit in you as it spiritually reveals reflections characterizing the sin nature of man. Today you are required to ask, seek, and knock before the Lord God with an honest heart to be forgiven of your sins and as well as carnal thoughts and images that cloud the natural mind. Offering oneself as a sacrifice, confessing, repenting and submitting to be washed in the Outer Court was required. This illustrative act constitutes Believers receiving the anointing of the precious Holy Oil, the Holy Spirit, prior to entering into the presence of God in prayer. Give some thought to what this means, for it will heighten your attention of the difficulties experienced as you strive to focus during your prayer time. Worldly sin-filled thoughts, personal issues, challenges and needs are flashing within your mind. The role of satan, the father of lies, is to stop you from confessing, repenting and to block out the Word of God, heavenly thoughts and revelations from the Lord. The role of the Priest required constant work, walking, praying and worshiping with hands lifted to exalt God as they served in preparing, maintaining and cleansing the Holy Court. This washing and anointing prepares you to become the Kings and Priest you are called to be for the Spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Your walk with Christ reveals his Light in you.

The Washing and The Anointing At The Brazen Laver: A Brazen metal, also called Brass, had a very shinny surface. It was used by the women of Israel as mirrors. When the Lord washes the Believer at the Brazen, (brass), Laver he reflects from the water and upon the Laver their sin sick selves. This reflection serves as a visual and spiritual reminder of what and how the Lord sees your sins. You are washed here in preparation and for the infilling of the Holy Spirit. This is where Believers get washed by the redeeming power of the shed Blood and Water of Jesus. Today it is the Word of God in Faith that washes and cleanses us. The Father not only wants you to see yourselves but His presence. Your faith by way of the Holy Spirit causes you to surrender even the more to God’s Will. To gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for God’s instructions for building the Tabernacle and the role of the Priest and High Priest you are encouraged to study Exodus 25-40. In the Book of Hebrews, 8-10, Jesus Christ is exalted above all and the Word of God is exhorted giving confirmation of a better Covenant offered and given by the Father to all who are faithful to Believe. Jesus is the Mediator and Redeemer of the Tabernacle of God in the heavens, not made by hands, and its Dwelling place in mankind. Both the Old and New Testament confirm the sacrificial offerings given by sacrificial blood offerings and the more “Perfect Offering of the Shed Blood of Jesus Christ.” Also, note in Exodus 25 that God commands Moses telling him that all of Israel is required by God to bringing their offerings which included: animals, meal, gold, silver, brass, wool, silk, fine linen, olive oil, spices, herbs and precious stones. The Atonement represented the Sacrificial System of bringing both a sacrifice and offerings. Unknown to the Israelites, every item they brought from Egypt, was for building a Tabernacle in which God would meet them in the desert. The Camp of the Twelve Tribes of Israel, where the Tabernacle, God’ Dwelling Place, was set-up, is to be seen as the precursor for establishing the Christian Church, as we know it today. Every family was required to bring their tithes and offering for “Praising and Worshiping God”, as it is for the Glory of God. Bringing offerings and tithes constituted Believers surrendering themselves as a living sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin. In like manner the Israelites brought their blood offerings of sacrifices replicating the Tabernacle which is in Heaven; as was with Moses and Israelites in their Tabernacle and now the Spirit of God, through Jesus Tabernacles in the heart and soul of Believers. The Atonement of reconciliation is the redeeming power of the Blood for the forgiveness of sin. Today that blood offering has been replaced by our perfect High Priest, Jesus, to fulfill the promise of a Savior, the Messiah. Believers, you are to consecrate yourselves like the Priest of Moses and Aaron’s era before entering into the Sanctuary of the Tabernacle. Moses instructs the children of Israel’s, who were so excited about obeying and honoring God that their giving became so overwhelming, to stop bringing the offerings, for there was more than was needed: Exodus 36:2-6 2 Then Moses brought together these workers who were eager to work, 3 and he gave them the money that the people of Israel had donated for building the place of worship. In fact, so much money was being given each morning, 4 that finally everyone stopped working 5 and said, “Moses, there is already more money than we need for what the LORD has assigned us to do.” 6 So Moses sent word for the people to stop giving, and they did. 7 But there was already more than enough to do what needed to be done. iv Copyright 2012 AJS Ministry: (Anointed By Jesus To Serve Ministry)

Our omniscient God provided unlimited riches and wealth for the people of Israel. They would leave Egypt with an abundance of wealth for everything they would need for building and maintaining the Tabernacle; in addition to providing for Aaron, his Sons and the Levitical Priest. The spoils the children of Israel took out of Egypt provided a parallel application of how the Lord Jesus Christ remains forever faithful to meet the needs of all His people. He is the same God today as yesterday and forever more. In Christian Churches today, there remains the Word of God directing the Body of Christ to bring tithes and offerings. Believers must grow to be willing and cheerful givers of tithe and offering; for the Word says the Lord loves a cheerful giver. This too is biblical and can be found as written in: 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 6But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have abundance for every good work.v Truly it is befitting for Believers of Jesus Christ to give back to God in support of the Church which serves as our modern day physical Tabernacle; were the assembling of God’s people are gathered for Prayer, Praise and Worship. Giving of tithes and offerings are part of the Sacrificial System of the Atonement as directed by Moses via the very Word of God. In the scripture text below, Luke 6:37-38 records the urgency of not being judgmental so as not to be condemned of God. He goes on to stress the significance of forgiving, for ye shall be forgiven. Luke 6:37-38 37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: 38Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. The 12 Tribes of Israel along with the Priest represent God’s chosen people who carried and cared for the Ark of the Covenant. They roamed throughout desert for forty years carrying and caring for the Tabernacle of Moses before finding and being allowed to enter Canaan. They were blessed beyond measure. The Bible says not one of them was feeble minded and their shoes, sandals never wore out. God was always with Moses and the people of Israel. They who were once slaves were now the rich chosen people of God. Time and time again God’s sovereign power and love was on display; for he was and remains forever: the deliverer, provider, sustainer, protector and healer for the people of Israel. Israel was truly God’s Chosen People. That which he did for Israel, Jesus is doing for us today. Moses in like fashion with Jesus was in the presence of God both in Mount Sinai and through-out their journey to the promise land. Moses was lead by the voice, the Spirit, of the God. When there was no food and no water God gave Moses directions for receiving the manna from heaven and on how to strike the rock for water. As a Believer you have experience also times when only God could make a way for you. You have, by Faith, come to know Jesus as a “Way maker and a shelter in the time of trouble.” Like the children of Israel, Believers in similar fashion are constantly guided to Canaan, the Promised Land to your place flowing with milk and honey. Our Lord and Savior will lead you to His bountiful blessings and riches untold. Copyright 2012 AJS Ministry: (Anointed By Jesus To Serve Ministry)

Fundamental instructions for ordaining Priest required them to wash and receive their anointing at the Brazen Altar. The washing was the beginning steps for the Priest to cleans and purify themselves after the blood sacrificing of animals. No one was allowed to come into the Holy Court without stopping first to wash themselves and cleanse at the Brazen Laver. The Priest and the High Priest knew from their teachings by Moses and Aaron that they were required to wash at the Laver. Washing is symbolic of being Baptized or Anointed by the Holy Spirit of Jesus. Jesus now stands in the place of the Brazen Altar and Laver. Jesus is standing as the gate keeper at each of the Court entrances. He is our High Priest. He beckons you to come, to enter the Holy Court. It is required that you meet Jesus for “He is the Lord God. “God said I Am Holy” in Leviticus 11:45. It is the work of Jesus who makes you Holy. It is so very important for Christians to know the Character of Jesus. He was so very humble and meek and he is true spirit and meaning of love. Jesus in his humility allowed John the Baptist to Baptize him in the Jordan River. The humility of Jesus’ character must be modeled as you come “boldly to the Throne of Grace to obtain Mercy.” In Mark 1:7-11 there is an account of Jesus being baptized as he was coming out of the Water. The sky did open and the Holy Spirit came down in the presence of a Dove. A voice was heard from heaven saying “You are my Dear Son and I am well pleased with you.” In like fashion as the Tabernacle Priest you to must come be washed, that is anointed by Jesus of Nazareth. The more you come to the Lord Jesus confessing, repenting and being washed, the more Christ like you become. It is the renewing of the mind in Christ that you also receive another washing, a refreshing, in the Holy Spirit. However, you must also grow in Faith by growing to know God’s Word, for it is your Shield and Sword. Commit to your memory that Faith cometh by Hearing and hearing the Word of God.
