La Seu d’Ègara A unique monument in Europe. The splendour of the first Christian art of the Hispano-Roman and Visigoth era, the religious architecture and mural painting of the Romanesque and the extraordinary Catalan Gothic art altarpieces: all of that in the setting of what was the home of the Bishopric of Ègara (5th-9th centuries), located in the heart of Vallparadís Park, the second largest urban park in Catalonia.
The murals in the apses of the churches of Santa Maria (the former Cathedral), Sant Miquel and Sant Pere are unique examples of late Roman art and culture in Europe.
