Emmie was little . . .

but her ideas were big.

She lived in an attic with things no-one wanted, but she crafted those things into something new.

She could solve any problem with her clever creations.

Everything was just the way she liked it.

Until one day. . .

. . . A huge problem arrived.

Emmie needed an idea as big as that cat.

So she sketched. She scrounged. She scrabbled. She built something new.

And when she saw that cat again . . .

she

That cat was . . .

. . . still there.

Something had to be done. Something BIGGER and SCARIER.

So, she sketched. She scavaged. She stitched. She built something new.

And this time . . .

she

That cat was still there.

Emmie paced and she pondered.

She worried and wondered. She looked at that problem from all different sides.

She had to think BIGGER than ever before.

Something jumbo. Something mammoth. A colossal surprise!

So, Emmie sketched. She scrounged. She scrabbled.

She built something new.

And this time . . .

She

She

And

Success at last!

But now Emmie saw something new. Something she hadn’t seen before.

That soggy sad cat wasn’t scary at all.

A niggle of doubt wiggled into her brain. It grew bigger and sparked her BEST idea yet.

She scribbled. She scrabbled. She adapted her plans.

And this time . . .

Emmie said she was sorry.

Now, together they pondered. They planned.

They played.

They built somethign new.

And that cat . . .

was still there.

And everything was just the way they liked it.
