Program Presenters Soror Joya Hayes Chairman, International Graduate Advisor Certification Committee Joya Hayes is a graduate of Huston-Tillotson College where she was initiated as a second generation member of the Beta Kappa Chapter in 1993. Joya has been a member of the Beta Psi Omega chapter in Austin, Texas in for 19 years. As a member of this chapter, Joya has served as Graduate Advisor for two undergraduate chapters, Connections Chairman, Membership Chairman, Anti-Basileus, and Basileus. Joya has also served as Cluster Coordinator for the Southwest Central Texas Cluster, and South Central Representative to the International Graduate Advisors’ Certification Committee. Currently, Joya is the International Chairman of the Graduate Advisors’ Certification Committee.

Soror Regina Carrington Representative to the International Program Committee As a loyal and dedicated member, Soror Regina has served as Basileus, Anti-Basileus, Member-at-Large, and Graduate Advisor to the Gamma Psi Chapter, (where she was initiated 42 years ago). This Life Member and Silver Star has been appointed by our Supreme Basileus, Soror Dorothy Buckhanan Wilson, to serve as International Program Representative for the Sensational South Central Region. Soror Regina looks forward to this special journey "Launching New Dimensions of Service" throughout our region and working with our dynamic sorors.


Program Presenters Soror Myra McKenzie-Harris Representative to the International Connection Committee Soror Myra McKenzie-Harris is an Associate General Counsel in the Legal Department of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. in Bentonville, Arkansas. She is a licensed to practice law in Ohio and North Carolina and is a member of the American Bar Association. She is a member of the Phi Alpha Omega Chapter in Bentonville and currently serves as its Grammateus and the Kappa Iota Chapter Graduate Advisor. She currently serves as the South Central Region Representative to the International Connection Committee. She is an honor graduate of Spelman College where she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society and the University of Notre Dame Law School. She is married to Honey Do Christopher Harris and has a dog named "Nala."

Soror Emile Blaine Representative to the International Membership Committee Soror Emile Pendarvis Blaine was initiated in Delta Rho Omega Chapter on March 28, 1999. Soror Emile has previously served as Parliamentarian, Grammateus, Chaplain, Standards Chairman, Business Manager and Chartering Basileus of Chi Sigma Omega Chapter, chartered in 2004. Prior to returning to South Central Region in 2009, Soror Emile served on the North Atlantic Region Leadership Development Training Task Force. She is a proud member of Alpha Xi Omega Chapter in Dallas, Texas and is the Vice President of the Ivy and Pearl Foundation of Dallas. She is a graduate of Prairie View A & M University, member of Friendship West Baptist Church and the happy wife of Vincent Blaine, her high school sweetheart, and mother to Little Vinnie and two, hopefully future sorors, Taylor and Sydney.


Program Presenters Soror Natalie Paul Representative to the International Undergraduate Activities Committee Natalie Paul is a Senior Criminal Justice major, Philosophy Pre-Law minor at Loyola University of New Orleans and a New Orlean native. She serves as the South Central Representative on the International Undergraduate Activities Committee, as well as, president of the Eta Theta chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Additionally, she serves as the Executive Student Body Vice -President of the Student Government Association at Loyola and the 1st Vice-President of the National Pan-Hellenic Council. After the completion of her undergraduate career, Natalie plans to attend Law School in New Orleans to pursue a legal and political career.

Soror Noreen Khan-Mayberry Toxicologist Dr. Noreen Khan-Mayberry, is a well known Toxicologist, Speaker & Technical Expert specializing in Environmental, Space, Food & Nutritional Toxicology. Known more often as Dr. Noreen, The Tox Doc, she has gained a following and media experience as an international speaker and as regular on both CBS & Fox affiliates. She also introduced the specialty of Space Toxicology to the international Toxicology community. She is passionate about empowering people to improve their overall health as well as leadership for women. Each of Dr. Noreen's businesses have a distinct and critical place in today's global landscape.

Soror Kelly Hodges Senior Director of Health and Equity—American Heart Association Soror Hodges is the Senior Director of Health Equity for the American Heart Association, Southwest Affiliate, serving Dallas, Ft. Worth and Houston, by focusing on hypertension, nutrition, obesity and physical activity. Soror Hodges was initiated in the Alpha Theta Chapter at Grambling State University, Spring 1995. As a member of the Omicron Tau Omega Chapter she currently serves as Connection Committee Chairman and Co-Chairman of the Houston Metropolitan Area Chapters Founders’ Day Committee. She has also served as Basileus, Connection Committee Chairman, Connection Cluster Coordinator and Health Committee Chairman. Soror Hodges is a member of The Church Without Walls. She is an Alumnus of Grambling State University, where she received both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science Degree.


Program Presenters Soror Nicole Wilson Vice President of Multicultural Initiatives—American Heart Association Nicole Wilson recently joined the American Heart Association after previously working with Novartis Pharmaceuticals where she had partnered with national organizations, including the AHA, in the cardiovascular therapeutic arena. Nicole has spent the majority of her career in pharmaceutical sales and marketing and has earned numerous awards in both sales and marketing excellence. She is responsible for managing the Multicultural Initiatives Department where she leads the Health Equity strategic planning and partnerships for the entire affiliate with a focus on high-risk, highly diverse markets. Originally from Miami, FL, Nicole received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and her MBA from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale.

Mr. Joseph Byrd Vice President of Student Services—Xavier University Joseph K. Byrd has been the Vice President for Student Services since 1995. Mr. Byrd is responsible for twelve areas of student life at Xavier University. He came to Xavier University and first served as a general counselor, then Assistant Dean of Students, Associate Dean of Students, and Associate Vice President for Student Services. He is an alumnus of William Carey University where he received the Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Science and Psychology and the Master of Education Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision. He also holds a Diploma in Educational Management from Harvard University. Mr. Byrd is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Sigma Lambda Chapter, where he has been President; presently he is Director of Membership Intake. He has also served Alpha Phi Alpha as District Director, Area Director, Co-Chairman of two National Conventions, Chaired the National Committees on Special Projects, Awards and Achievements and Membership Standards and Extension. He is also a member of 100 Black Men of America.
