Designer Zara Terez started making her own wildly patterned leggings out of scuba material. At first, retailers didn’t go for it, so she took to Instagram. It didn’t take long for her to build a huge following, and fans began searching for the leggings in stores. Zara told Business Insider that’s when retailers started calling her back: “They were like, ‘Yeah, OK. We get it now.’” And she’s just one example of how popular patterned leggings have become.
