y name is Akhmad Sujarwo. I was born on July 23, 1991. In a small town, Demak, Central Java. I graduated from the Indonesian Institute of the Art Yogyakarta. My daily activities are as a freelance graphic designer. Sometimes I also get involved in several design projects with my friends. As a graphic designer, I don’t have a special style. I always look for design inspiration on the internet because it makes it easy for me to process ideas to produce my design. As a designer, I enjoy drawing hands. I like illustrations and logos as well as some layout designs. I really appreciate a design process because the process is the basis for producing a good design.

LOVE ME LOVE MY PATH Social Campaign

Love me, love my path is a social campaign project about yellow lane socialization for persons with disability. This social campaign to explain the yellow path function to society. Many people don›t know about the yellow lane. They consider the yellow path only for the decoration of public road users so that the path used for persons with disability is mostly taken by public pedestrians. That is very wrong. Through this project we make work to communicate visually to the society that persons with disability have the right to use the path as we have the right to walk on public sidewalks.

TOGA HEALTHY FROM NATURE Social Campaign

Toga or family medicinal plants are traditional medicinal plants that are used to cure various kinds of diseases experienced by families. But at present, this plant is being abandoned. One of them is because it›s hard to find. Through social campaigns, we want to socialize and communicate to the society about the importance of this plant as part of local wisdom that must be preserved and developed.

AMBIENT MEDIA Ambient media can invite society to get involved directly in the social campaigns that we design. So that society can immediately find out about Toga plants more broadly.

LAMANTI

Event Branding/Art Exhibition

Yati Pesek is an artist who has given a new breath to the development and preservation of Javanese cultural arts. Lamanti is a design concept for Contemporary art events, an abbreviation of Langen Mandra Tiyang. That is a combination of traditional art elements Goro-goro formed by Yati Pesek with elements of modern art. The name Langen Mandra Tiyang is taken from the Javanese language. Langen which means having fun, Mandra which means a lot and Tiyang that means people or art that combines many people for fun. The book besides providing information to the public about the description of the Lamanti Javanese cultural event which is packed with modern (contemporary) elements. The hope is that people can get new insights and knowledge from the context of traditional Javanese cultural arts. The community can also find out the side of art and culture education that is in the design of this event.

TETULUPAN GAME Poster Design

Illustration of a promotional poster for traditional games from Java. This game is made of bamboo and works like a shotgun, with bullets made from wet paper or water guava seeds. This poster describes three boys who use Tetulupan and prepare to fight in the game.

Print ad is a message and a layout composition for an advertisement placed on print media. Print ad works besides being a form of the Pinasthika award competition, which is an advertising event held every year. In this event, there are creative works from the fields of advertising, graphic design, product design, film, animation, and social movements. The purpose of this creative festival is as a celebration of the creativity of the largest crossindustry creative company in Indonesia that has succeeded in becoming a melting pot of creative industry, academics, and commercial brands as well as a place to find talented people and award Indonesian creative companies.

THE PROBLEM OF PLASTIC POLLUTION Infographic

Everyone must know that the biggest planetary crisis is the plastic waste. Marine and coastal ecosystems have been damaged by plastic waste. Plastics are a very serious threat to the future of the world. Plastic pollution causes a very frightening effect, especially for creatures. The advantages of plastic are designed to last a long time. But, with the benefits not comparable to what has been caused.

Billions of plastic bottles have been used and wasted every year. Tens of millions of tons of plastic have been carried into the sea every year. All countries in the world have managed plastics and all have gathered together in the sea. This affects marine animals and damages their food chains. Humans must begin to realize and reduce the use of plastic to prevent bad things from happening in the future.

Men›s Health is the largest men›s magazine brand in the world with 40 editions in 47 countries. The magazine has its headquarters in Emmaus, Pennsylvania, United States and is published by Rodale Inc. This magazine is also the best-selling magazine in the US. In the November 2014 print edition, I recovered the illustration of Cristiano Ronaldo with a brush stroke in Photoshop. I made Ronaldo›s picture in a digital illustration style. I made golden background color combinations with a few touches of typography to make it more interesting and different from other magazine cover designs.

For me, brands are very important to give identity or character to everyone. A good logo is simple and memorable. The logo must have a unique, unique, good color combination and have an interesting message.

Clow is an ion energy drink and body conditioning. Redesign of the cover of Anne Marie Speak Your Mind CD Album (2018). I like songs from Anne Marie. The music is very pleasant to hear, especially on the Speak Your Mind album which was released in 2018. The album›s flagship song is Friends, which is duet with Marshmello DJ. HAND LETTERING Typography

Besides design, I also like the art of hand creativity. One of them is hand lettering. Hand Lettering is a typographic art that is made manually or by using hands without computer aids. I have made several types of sans serif and serif typography using watercolor and poster paint. I combine the two paints to form a very beautiful typographic work. Everything is done manually or using hands. Although it is undeniable today, making typography can be easily done digitally or using computer aids. However, I am more happy to make it manually. Because there is its own satisfaction compared to making it digitally. The results are also very interesting and beautiful.

In 2015. I made an illustration project together with PT. Indonesia Tera Publishing Yogyakarta. PT Indonesia Tera is a company engaged in the publishing industry and incorporated in the Agromedia Group with a concentration of arable fields in Dictionaries and Non-Languages.

The illustration concept that I made was to tell about children›s activities in everyday life. The style of illustration I made is the anime style in accordance with the Korean language dictionary. Illustrations made in accordance with the explanations in the Korean dictionary. The dictionary has been published and already exists in all Gramedia Indonesia.

The history of the kingdom or the sultanate of Demak is a huge empire in Java and is known as the first Islamic empire on the island of Java, as it became the center of the spread of Islam. In its development, history is packaged in various media in order to attract the younger generation in addressing Islamic values through history. Motion Comic is a comic or graphic novel made into animated images via computer.

Motion Comic is able to give positive effect to the young generation about how the values taught by the guardian in developing the teachings of Islam. The form of Islamic values such as attributes used in the character of guardian figures depicting Islamic values such as robes, turbans and other attributes such as tasbih and al-kitab becomes a force to attract the interest of young people in the story. Messages are communicative with explanations of visual messages or messages depicted (visible) such as aspects of background setting or place, atmosphere and effects of other elements related to visuals. In the hope with Motion Comic about Demak kingdom can provide an illustration to the younger generation to be more familiar and educate about the values taught by the guardians through the approach of art and culture in developing Islam in Java.
