I am a descendant of Minakata Kumagusu.Minakata Kumagusu is a scholar of natural history created by Wakayama Prefecture. It is said that in the three years of Nachi era, Kumagusu was built with all the thought from the slime mold and was looking at the world. I studied slime mold as

an "architect" and designed the thought space of Minakata Kumagusu. I want to get closer to Kumagusu's thoughts as a descendant and to pass on Kumagusu's thoughts to the world. As a architect, I conduct slime mold experiments. The One of the thought of Minakata Kumagusu is that it is studied from the same viewpoint as slime mold. Since the scale of the slime mold and the human being are 500 times different, if the site in the forest at the entrance to Daimonzaka in Wakayama Prefecture is reduced to 1/500, then the slime mold and Kumagusu stand on the same scale within the experimental site Then, we measured the diameter and height of existing trees and observed the characteristics, behavioral route, speed, displacement time, and form of slime mold. From these observational data, we constructed the thought space

In the 4th industrial revolution, which is said to occur in 2045, AI will be

Underground hall ~"Roppongi Theater" City ~

Yuko Nagayama award

Although the number of foreign tourists continues to increase, revenue from tourism has been flat. One of the reasons is the lack of amusement. In addition, public facilities such as theaters are increasing their occupancy rate and seeking various ways to use them. By considering the ideal form of theater cultural facilities unique to Roppongi, while learning about these social changes, a new type of urban public building will be envisioned.

Non finito ~Housing by unfinished art~

Architectual Design Adv2

Koji Aoki Award

It's designed, it's built, it's delivered, it's used, it's refurbished. Building continues to move through time, but the act of design may focus too much on just one part: completion. So is it possible to design a building while looking at the time of the flow, rather than "completion"? Will that change the way architecture works? In this task, we will consider the possibilities of architecture that can be seen when we step into the "flow of time" that design has hitherto failed to address. Project Housing Date

02 How to make unfinished art

The term UNFINISHED was coined after the Italian Renaissance artist Donatello defined unfinished art techniques "Non finito" for the first time. This concept of UNFINISHED is said to have established a concrete method of unfinished art at the UNFINISHED exhibition that was curated by Gelybaum. If we use this unfinished art concept and build it, the

architecture itself will become unfinished, and it will point to the possibility in the future. The current social change in Japan is accompanied by the structural change from flow-type industry to stock-type industry, and the renovation of buildings by DIY is becoming common these days, and the effectiveness of the concept of its completion is being shaken. Therefore, if the architecture itself shows unfinished symbols and the adaptability of the architecture, we can always live with "flow of time" in mind. I would like to define UNFUNISHED ARCHIRECTURE by comparing art theory and architecture theory.

Variable housing complex ~Variable housing complex with Japanese straw mat~

Architectual Design 2 Tatami mats, among many of them introduced from China, are unique to Japan. Its history dates back to the Kojiki, which contains descriptions such as "Kan Tatami Yae" and "Hatami Yae". It was in the Heian period that the structure became similar to today's tatami. The thickness of the tatami mats and the pattern and color of the edges were different depending on the rank of the user. In this project, we will go back to the history of tatami mats and research and design the unique ways of using tatami mats in Japan. Project Housing complex Date

Variable housing complex

In the past, people interacted under or around tatami mats, and there was

a view from the tatami mats.In other words, tatami creates a new memory through interaction, and the memory is engraved with the scene. The aim is to diversify housing by installing different types of gardens on each floor. In ancient times, there was a culture of moving tatami mats, and there was a culture of carrying them inside and outside houses. To utilize the variability of the tatami, a skeleton infill is proposed.

There used to be a culture of moving only tatami mats.

Laminated Windows ~Understanding the relationship between windows and education~

Architectual Design 3 The graduate school campus of the Department of Architecture of Tokyo City University was designed. The 21 Dynasties, in which man is concentrated in cities, is the century of cities. The Department of Architecture will expand the campus to Shibuya to strengthen the relationship. For the first time in history, Japan's population is decreasing and its economy is cooling down. Building education at universities should be changed at a time when construction is not as necessary as in the past. I am thinking about the Project Campus Date

future of architectural design education at Tokyo City University and what space should be for it.

Laminated Windows

The current university campus is an educational space where you can only interact with people from the inside instead of outside. While it may be necessary to have a space where you can interact with the people inside to give a lecture, I think it is necessary to have a space in Shibuya where you are constantly interacting with people outside of Shibuya who have various purposes and are inspired and involved. To this end, we will use Shibuya's unique window to communicate information about the university to the outside, and propose a space where various people can learn. Shibuya provides information to the city through its facade.

Kasa Kasa ~the space for kids by using umbrella~

Studio works I made an installation using an umbrella bag. The recycling of the kids' space we are making is an example of the recycling of plastic manufacturing. The participation of children in the construction of the monument makes the construction process itself a monument of awareness and recognition of the importance of plastic recycling. It is a playground for children and a symbol of resource issues.

Disposable plastic umbrella bag is one of the plastic products which has a close relationship to our daily life. but In Japan, the umbrella bag is always treated as garbage after being used. But almost everyone is using and discarding it during rainy days. It is becoming a very big environmental problem. So what if we build a visible monument with those discarded umbrella bags? We blow air into the disposable plastic umbrella bags to make them strong, and link them together to create spaces. We submit a proposal that utilize the

characteristic of the umbrella bags which are close to our daily life and their sustainability to built a monument, which is trying to face up to the world industrial waste problem and also to make plastic more useful. The core issue of our proposal is to reuse those disposable plastic umbrella bags which have been used from commercial facilities and public facilities, and provide a chance of making children concern about plastic to the users of this installation. A great deal of umbrella bags which have been linked together in a variety of ways create alterable and multiple spaces, and we believe that it can also give a lesson to the children about environmental pollution and make them to cherish the environment in the future. Cardbord cave ~the space for kids by using cardbord cave~

Studio works I made an installation using a cardbord cave. I first considered the habits of children and defined them as animals. It is said that the cognitive ability of children is almost equal to that of an animal, and in animal ethology, it is also said that a human child and an animal behave similarly. By designing caves with animal nests as a motif, children can experience moving around in nature like animals, and they keep moving.

Laputa: Castle in the Sky ~section and elevation of Laputa, Castle in the Sky~

Other works Watched the Ghibli movie, the Laputa movie of the castle in the sky, and drew the cross section and the elevation. On A1 Kent paper, the left half was drawn as an elevation and the right half as a cross section to grasp the space of Laputa, a castle in the sky.

S=1/1000 It is a sectional view of laputa. I actually saw the Ghibli movie, grasped the space, and expressed it as a sectional view on the right and an elevation on the left. I drew it with A pencil on A1 Kent paper.
