Summer Internships Nathan-Jones Architect, Penang, Malaysia (2014)- Worked on the clustering, plans, sections, elevation details of a single-storey row house project in Sitiawan, Perak; the site plan and floor plans of two semi-detached bungalows coming up at Kajang, Selangor; and site sections for PASS Animal Shelter at Penang. Conducted several site surveys with engineers and developers for upcoming projects and construction inspection with Principal Architect for on-going projects at Penang, Perak and Selangor. Prepared a presentation of observed defects and suggested rectifications for an existing school in Ipoh. Drafted an exhaustive report on development of Eco-tourism and allied activities on Penang Hill, carrying capacity calculations, integrating local hill-residents and analyse impacts of a cable-car system.

Construction Catalysers Private Limited, Pune, India (2012) – Worked on diverse projects involving product and market research on foamed concrete, HVAC duct manufacturing machines, CNC profile cutting machines and LED strip lights.

Studied various HVAC systems, Phase Change Materials (PCM) as substitutes for mechanical ventilation, heat load calculations and designed a calculator for air conditioning units. Developed the layout of the firm's new in-house R&D facility.

Current Research As part of ‘Green Initiative’ project at IIT Kharagpur, our proposal has been selected for further research and implementation on campus. We are working on substituting fine aggregates with crushed PET and other plastic wastes, jute, cement bags, etc. It recycles the huge amount of plastic and allied wastes generated. We are testing the strength variation for suitable application in pavements, roads and other non-structural construction works. We are also working on a product design for a special bin design for better waste management on campus.

POSITIONS OF RESPONSIBILITY President Designee Students’ Society of Architects and Planners(SSAP), IIT Kharagpur (2014-2015) Responsible for organizing and co-ordinating various department activities and events.

Design Team Member Kshitij 2013 – Asia’s Largest Techno Management Fest (2012-2013) Responsible for designing publicity material in various forms for Kshitij 2013 which spread throughout India and abroad.

Designed and managed the construction of the Arena for Kshitij 2013.

Core Organising Team Member SPICMACAY Eastern Convention, IIT Kharagpur (2012-2013) Responsible for reception and accommodation of guests (eminent artists from around the country) and participants at IIT Kharagpur and handling all logistics at the fest.

Responsible for organising various workshops and performances by maestros of Indian Classical Art Forms.

Head Boy/ School Captain The Bishop’s Co-Ed School, Pune (2007-2008) As elected head of the student council, I was responsible for organizing, planning and co-ordinating all school events and activities including concerts, sports meet, debates, quizzes, etc. with my team of 16 members. Served as main link of communication between student body and institute authorities and represented the school at varied events.

Troop Leader The Bharat Scouts and Guides- Pune division (2007-2008) Responsible for coordinating various activities including weekly trainings, workshops and several camps for the 200+ members with an Assistant Troop Leader, 8 Patrol Leaders and their assistants under guidance of the Scouts Master.
