INTRODUCTION

HEALTLY HEALING COMMUNITY CENTRE The programme that is being study is to create an Community Centre for the Orang Asli in Batu 12 Jalan Gombak. The proposed programme are to help the community to earn some money and also to help them to live in better condition. The main concept of my proposed building are to emphasizes the interconnection between human and nature in a way to approach to make the community live in better life . That is the concept and to add to it there are three main attraction of my proposed building to the visitor such as a place for them to relax and enjoy ness of the living a healthily life through interpretive display of the greenness area that surround the proposed building. The second attraction are on environmental of the sustainability of the building.

Construction system and methods Bamboo Timber Plank Flooring The previous design building are using normal concrete slab as the floor for the first floor flooring. As the new material to replace this are the Bamboo timber flooring with hardwood timber block Mortise joinst. The previous construction system that used are concrete slab with rebar ( reinforment bar). The previous slab are using Flat Slab With Beam method. And the method of construction are a mixture of sand, aggregate, water and cement. But the problem will occur with concrete slab such it is rigid. By slightly movement of building it will make the concrete crack and fail if keep happen. So with that said the new design option to replace that is using bamboo timber plank. Bamboo is a natural surface covering material that has many of the properties of hardwood flooring. It construction system are ecologically friendly, water resistance, easy to maintained and it is natural material. The method of construction it easy to installed and it durability and style it bring to the building .

Curtain Wall The new design to incorporate with the existing structure is the used of curtain wall. As before this the building doesn't have any shading device and weather proof structure to against natural disaster as heavy rain. With that in mind the construction system that will be installed there are curtain wall. The construction system of curtain wall are easy to install, pressure-equalized rain screen systems provide the highest levels of resistance to air and water infiltration, with water-managed systems the next most reliable. Also it is moisture protection, giving an ecstatic visual look and also make an good acoustic barrier sound proof. The method of construction of curtain wall are such used of spider clamp that capable to hold 12mm tempered glass by using the clamp itself. The construction system consist of using tempered glass and the clamp to make curtain wall.

Construction system and methods Metal Deck Roof New design to take measure in this building are the used of metal deck roof to replace the flat roof system of previous designed. As to pleased the building to react with natural wind and give an a good visual ecstatic view rather just and flat roof. The flat roof system beforehand are the typical roof that is being used to make a simplified building because of it can fit in any building. The construction system of metal deck roof are the rapid installation and easy to install. The metal deck roof system are to improve acoustic performance of the building. It high in strength to ratio and long life span are good to be checked. The method of construction are such using steel or aluminium bar. Because of only minor thing to make this metal deck roof so the system itself is easy and rapid installation are such.

PRECEDENT STUDY

ANALYSIS There are several change of technique and construction method that been made to the Community Centre for Orang Asli in Batu 12 Jalan Gombak. As such the structure of main three that have been through the construction are such as the flooring of the first floor of the Community Centre. Furthermore are the Curtain Wall that have been added to complete the space at the cafe and last but not least to change the roof from flat roof to the metal deck roof structure. To start of with the first construction are the flooring issues. As mention above the floor have been changes to used the bamboo plank because of it mimic of natural surface covering material that has many of the properties of hardwood flooring. By that means the pros of bamboo plank are such it are easy to maintain . Why? Because bamboo are and water resistance material and there is also some draw back or cons to use bamboo as flooring as such it easy to be scratched, life span only 5-6 years top, humidity as if placed in humid place it start to floor plank to plump, to add to it if install in dry placed it will shrunk. The reason of using bamboo as flooring in the Community Centre is to add certain natural aspect of the jungle as the Community Centre is located beside the jungle. To mimic the natural sources /product. To gave respect to the ecology of it and to product less carbon emission as the Centre is located near to the jungle. Move on to the second Construction to be made to the Centre are to add curtain wall. The curtain wall will be located at he cafĂŠ space area that are a double volume space area. The technology that are using the spider clamp to accomplished the technique because of the double volume space area and it will make an ecstatic feeling to the building. Also to add it also can be a good shading device to protect people from the blazing sun and also it create the acoustic feeling being inside the cafĂŠ and enjoy the music and food inside the cafĂŠ. Also to add the curtain wall are such being designed in the way of it only structure are the spider clamp and the used of tempered glass. There is also some drawback of curtain wall such as it need of regular to maintain it, also to add are in order to make the sound proof the sealant need applied in all perimeter and need to be replaced every 10 years. So in sense of using it in the Centre it have a good benefits and also the drawback. Next is the final construction that being placed to replace the flat roof. The roof have been chanced to used metal deck roof with aluminum structure as it foundation. This construction have only been commonly used in factory and some museum , such example the ENZO FERRARI MUSEUM. The pros of using this type of roof are such it is easy to install and does not take time because of it rapid installation. And the cons are it not a natural sources as using aluminium as biggest material of all. The reason of using metal decking for the centre are to make the centre being notice for it visualized. Easy to been seen so it is still acoustically different from the existing structure around the building. Also to add the feeling of Technical in the building it self where not just the centre serve as to the community but also the centre serve the building through the nakedsity of the aluminium structure at the roof. To conclude this analysis all the technique and new construction that been made for the building are essential to the building identity also to add the new charismatic feeling to the building itself. The material that being used also are commonly used in the architecture industry plus to add all the new construction to the building are such an good and ease for the community also to the general public.

Then the block of hardwood timber is being joint called mortise to create a strong and durable structure.

The final diagram above shows how the hardwood structure being connected to the beam below by using ms.plate with bolt.

The above diagram show the step one of Second diagram shows how the supporting The third diagram are the zoom in of the spider installing curtain wall using Spider Clamp. The glass being clamp with each other using the clamp in working to make the glass stay intact first step is to bolt the supporting glass with the silicone then using of the spider clamp and also vertically without moving.(rigid position) spider clamp then afterword used the other type the vertical glass also being glued with the of spider clamp and take a 12mm glass place clamp. inside the clamp vertically.

Last diagram show the ms. Plate of clamp to hold the glass also to glued to the slab above.

Sequence of construction Roofing Detail

The above diagram show the beginning part on how to make an metal deck roof. In diagram first the aluminium steel is being place first.

Second are to place the Purlin above the aluminium steel.

The fifth diagram are to place the a layer of 12mm cemboard .

The third sequance is to put the wire mesh above n between the purlin.

The six diagram show the metal deck being place and to complete the structure to roofing.

Fourth are to place the sisalation / rockwool insulator to make a sound barrier/sound proof.

And the last diagram show the gutter being put to let all the with the RWDP pipe.

Conclusion The application of building technology construction materials and methods applied in Community Center for Orang Asli is a suitable approach for functional and aesthetical factors. The properties of the materials bamboo, curtain wall and metal decking roof are suitable to be used for the design and in the tropical climate. They respond well to its local context which are the climates, location and site condition. To conclude, the overall construction technology complies to the theme of the building which is sustainability.
