Galfar awarded Contractor of the Year 2015 by The Oil & Gas Year magazine
Galfar Engineering and Contracting has been awarded with ‘Contractor of the Year 2015’ award by The Oil & Gas Year magazine published under the auspices of the Ministry of Oil and Gas.
This award is to express the fraternity’s appreciation and confidence on Galfar’s commitment towards delivery of projects as well as its execution capabilities. And also on its continued commitment to the society by way of Omanisation and generation of the much required In country Value (ICV) while maintaining HSE and quality standards.
Galfar has been actively engaged with the oil and gas industry to provide contracting services including EPC services and has executed many prestigious projects for many of the oil and gas production companies. These include the Petroleum Development of Oman, British Petroleum and Occidental of Oman, Daleel, amongst many others.
Following the principles set forth by the government, Galfar’s In-Country Value Strategy is founded in increasing In-Country spending on goods and services and our ICV results are impressive with a major percentage of our purchase and sub-contracting having local involvement.
Galfar has a long-standing commitment to the highest standards for the health and safety of our employees, and subcontractors as well as to the protection of the environment in the communities in which we live and work. Over the past, stakeholders had been made aware of the moments of pride for us when we achieved the various milestones in terms of man-hours worked without lost time injury (LTI).
