As many know that P Mohamed Ali is a prominent personality in Oman, He is a true Omani who strived for the growth of Oman, but he never overlooked the fact that he is an Indian first. Born and brought in Kerala, India. It’s not a hidden secret that his heart beats for the motherland. The noble deeds of P Mohamed Ali brought him close to another nobleman, who was back then the first citizen of India and till now the most loved president of India, Late APJ Abdul Kalam. The Governm ent of India (Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs) started with an award ceremony called Pravasi Bharatiya Samman (Overseas Indian Honour/Award) in the year 2003. This award is presented to all those Non -resident Indians from any corner of the world whose contribution to India directly or indirectly has been tremendous, it is presented by President of India such is the stature of it. In the year 2004 the next year of this honour’s commencement, P Mohamed Ali was honoured with this award by APJ Abdul kalam a nd the then prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpai.
