Rex Factor is a podcast show that reviews all the Kings and Queens of England and Scotland. Going through their life and reign and then score their performance in Battleyness, Scandal, Subjectivity, Longevity and Dynasty before deciding whether they have - the Rex Factor! Our identity is not just a logo. It is a design comprised of a number of elements that come together to create a unique look and feel that makes the Rex Factor brand recognizable. The following pages will guide you through the key elements. This will assist you in designing and producing any form of media communications with a high level of flexibility and creativity.

Original Logo The Rex Factor logo must always be black with the exception of the letter ‘x’ which must always be red.

White Out When white out is used, the Rex Factor logo is the be inverted except for the letter ‘x’ which must remain red. This form of the logo must only be used against background colours strong and dark enough to hold enough contrast to maintain legibility.

Logo Clear Space Grey area indicates Safe Zone. Other graphical and visual elements can be safely positioned up to the adjoining Blue Area. Blue indicates Clear Space. The blue area must be kept free of all other graphical and visual elements.
Minimum height cm: 2cm
The minimum requried Clear Space is defined by the measurement ‘X’ (equal to the height of the lower case X from the word ‘Rex’.
No Maximum size.
Typeface - Logo Only one font style is used for the logo and is created by Monotype. Imprint MT Std Shadow is the primary font used for the logo. It must never be used alone without all the other elements of the logo.

The Typeface Family Only three font styles are used accross all branding medias, and they are both from the same typeface family: Avenir
When to Use: Avenir Roman is the primary font used for all main body texts. It can also be used as the standard text for stationery, website design, brochures and all forms of general correspondance
The Avenir family used consists of 3 typeface widths: Avenir Light, Roman and Black. Each of the 3 type width contain a set of italic letters.
With the variety of font weights and widths Rex Factor will have the flexibility, and consistency for the future growth of the brand.

Logo Correct Usage When to Use:
The Rex Factor identity is seen across a wide variety of communication platforms. The full colour version of the logo are best suited for the use in the following situations: - On full colourcommunications. - Whenever possible i.e No print restrictions. - To create a visual interest. - In most digital mediums i.e Web. - When it visually seems appropriate. - When the Logo is one of the key visual elements of the communication element i.e Posters, flyers. The clear space must be kept consistent as defined.

The washout version of the logo are best suited for the use in the following situations: - To maintain simplicity and standout on a visually busy / exciting communications. - For a minimal design aesthetic. - To achieve strong visual stand out. - When it visually seems appropriate. The clear space must be kept consistent as defined.

Logo Incorrect Usage When to Use:
To maintain consistency throughout the Rex Factor identity it is essential that the brand identity is never altered in any way. Below are a few examples of what is not acceptable. The same rules shown here, will apply to the alternative configurations of the logo. It is important tha the brand is always reproduced from the master artwork.
