Denise
Denise McDonald
is an undergraduate at the Alabama A&M University, studying business administration. She has her own business called Pretty Picasso, where she creates custom art and host paint parties. She loves to be creative and is always looking for new ways to express herself. She is from Mobile, Alabama but due to her mother being in the military, Denise moved every few years and was able to experience different environments. Though she is a southern bell at heart, Denise always watched Americas Next Top Model growing up and adored the thought of one day being on the runway. During her preteen years her mother, Maria, enrolled her and her twin sister (Daryn) into Barbizon classes to build their confidence and get them started in modeling. It was a great experience and Denise began to let her light shine. In high school, Denise participated in the school’s fashion show walking the runway in her fellow classmate’s designs. After high school she worked on finding a passion she loved dearly, and soon got in front of the camera. After winning this years AFA Top Model title, Denise has begun to work with local brands and photographers in Huntsville. Denise also has had the opportunity to travel to Los Angles, California for the 2021 Fall Fashion Week. She is now perfecting her craft and working to be a prominent name in the modeling industry. I am Dominic Johnson, a curvy model from Huntsville, Alabama. I am 34 years old. I am an Educator Coach with the Alabama Department of Early Childhood, a mother, business owner, and a leader in advocating body positivity in the community. I have two beautiful children. In my down time, I enjoy spending time with my family, crafting, reading, traveling, and shopping. I began my modeling career about 6 years ago. I am a lover for all things curvy. I am a self-starter in modeling, who loves to bring body positivity to other women. No matter their shape or size. I realize more and more each day that curves are in and to never lose hope. Over the years it hasn’t always been the easiest job in the plus-size community because of what the world thinks an average plus-size model should be. I began modeling to show everyone there is no one size, shape, or figure that a woman should have to be to become a model. Beauty is not defined in size.
