To: All members of the Joe Wheeler Electric Membership Corporation
You are hereby notified that the Annual Meeting of the Joe Wheeler Electric Membership Corporation, a rural electric cooperative, will be held in accordance with the provisions of the bylaws at the Joe Wheeler EMC Administration Building, Lawrence County, Alabama on Saturday, April 8, 2023.
The meeting will be called to order at 9 a.m. Registration and voting for trustees will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 11 a.m., at which time the business session will begin.
The 2023 Annual Meeting will be held to:
1. Elect one trustee each in Districts 4, 5, and 6 to three-year terms as provided by the bylaws. Nominated by Committee Nominated by Petition

2. Pass upon reports covering the previous fiscal year and transact any other business to come before the members.
Information on prizes, mail balloting, and voting in person.
1. Members who vote by mail or in person are eligible to win a variety of prizes.
2. You have the right to reserve your vote until the Annual Meeting.
3. If you choose to vote by mail, your ballot must be received by the Independent Auditor no later than the close of business April 5, 2023. Mail ballots will be mailed out to arrive no later than March 24, 2023 and a self-addressed, stamped envelope is included for your convenience.
4. Members who vote and/or register in person at the Annual Meeting on April 8 will also be eligible for the prizes to be given away immediately following the business session.
Voting Instructions 2023 Annual Meeting
No duplicate ballots will be issued, so please read the following instructions carefully before mailing in your ballot. DO NOT INCLUDE ANY PAYMENTS OR CORRESPONDENCE!
ü READ and SIGN the GREEN registration/certification card and place in the WHITE business reply mail envelope, but DO NOT SEAL IT.
ü After MARKING THE BALLOT provided, PLACE it in the YELLOW envelope marked “BALLOT ENCLOSED” and SEAL the envelope.
ü PLACE the sealed ballot inside the WHITE business reply mail envelope and SEAL.
ü PLACE the envelope in the U.S. mail, no postage necessary. Your mail ballot will be counted only if received by the Independent Auditor by Wednesday, April 5, 2023.

By returning your mail ballot, you are automatically registered to win prizes to be given away immediately following the business session. Winners will be drawn at the 2023 Annual Meeting, April 8, 2023. You DO NOT have to be present to win.
